Chapter 417: I Hate You So Much, I Could Die

She drank it as if it were perfectly warm, her expression betraying nothing.

"Please, just call me Benjamin," I awkwardly requested, feeling embarrassment and hopefulness. "The ’Sir’ makes me feel like I am being addressed by a subordinate, and that is not how I want us to relate to each other. I would rather we be on more equal footing."

Marina looked at me, as usual no joy was in those dark eyes.

They were flat, unreadable, like pools of shadow that reflected nothing back.

She held my gaze for a long moment, and I could feel myself shrinking under the intensity of her stare.

Then she said again, her voice cool and deliberate: "Sir Benjamin... is this truly the reason you came to see me? All this talk of my mother and the clans, or the genetic echoes... is that truly what brought you to my chamber?"

She stood up and took off her jacket in one smooth motion, fully revealing the high quality gown she was wearing underneath.

The fabric was sheer enough to only see the silhouette of her body inside, the curves and contours of her form visible through the thin material.

It was an intimate sight, one that made my breath catch in my throat.

She moved to me and bent down until her face and my face were inches from each other.

I could feel the warmth radiating from her skin, could see every detail of her features with startling clarity; the slight parting of her lips, the faint lines around her eyes, the way her dark lashes framed those deep green irises.

"You heard what I said that time, yes?" She asked me, her voice low and husky. "That word I uttered when the intruder was clinging to you."

[Crap... For some reason, I am getting more nervous as she pushes the point.]

My heart was pounding in my chest, my palms were sweaty, and I felt like a deer caught in the headlights of an oncoming car.

[She is too close, too.]

Ah, I could smell her scent so much from yhere!

It definitely was floral and warm , very intoxicating, like the perfume of a flower garden.

I felt like a pure little boy in her presence, completely out of my depth, and unprepared for whatever she is about to do.

"Uhm... th-that might have been a slip of tongue..." I tried to steer the ship away from the storm, to redirect the conversation to safer waters where I was not pinned down by her piercing gaze. "A momentary lapse in judgment. I am sure you did not mean anything by it."

But she stirred it right back to it, her hand reaching out to cup my chin and hold me in place: "It was no slip of tongue. I truly did let my inner thought peer out a little. That was disgracefully unprofessional... And I am willing to give you what you desire right now, if you promise me... to never tell Elara..."

"What?! Of course I never planned to tell Elara or anyone!" I assured her, my words tumbling out in a rush. "Whatever you said, whatever happens here, it stays between us. I would never gossip or spread rumors about you, especially not something like that."

Before I could say another word, her soft lips crashed into mine.

The kiss was sudden, fierce and very consuming.

Her tongue slipped through my lips and she began to lightly suck, her movements practiced and deliberate, as if she had done this a thousand times before.

Her left hand rested on my face, her fingers curling along my jaw, while her right hand found its way to my shoulder, steadying herself as she calmly straddled me.

I soon found myself lost in the kisses.

I could not speak another word, could not form a coherent thought, or do anything but surrender to the sensation of her mouth against mine.

She was a force of nature, overwhelming and unstoppable, and I was helpless in her grasp.

Marina... truly was a professional at everything.

She was indoctrinating me on how to kiss her, through her lips and tongue, teaching me the rhythm, the pressure, and the subtle movements that she wanted.

Every motion was deliberate, and every touch was calculated, so I found myself following her lead without even thinking about it.

I could feel her soft, massive breasts press onto my chest as she tightened her hold on me even further, her body pressing against mine with an intimacy that made my head spin.

She was warm, soft, and too close...

She broke out of the kiss and stared at my face for a while, her emerald eyes searching my expression for something I could not identify.

She was not even breathing hard much—her chest was rising and falling with steady, controlled breaths—unlike me, who did not even need oxygen to survive, but was panting like a deer panteth for the water!

My lungs were heaving, my heart was racing, and I felt like I had just run a marathon.

"Sir Benjamin... you must have been waiting for this day, no?" Marina stood up from me and slid down the dark fabric covering her crotch, while still wearing the gown.

The scrap of cloth fell to the floor with a soft rustle, and she stepped out of it casually, as if she were discarding something as inconsequential as a piece of trash.

She tossed the panties somewhere to the side, not even bothering to look where they landed, and began to loose the rope holding my pants.

Her fingers worked quickly and efficiently, her movements practiced and sure.

"I will make you feel good," she said, her voice dropping to a whisper that was almost inaudible. "I will even go as far as having your child... But you must never tell Elara... You must never tell Elara that I hate you so much I could die from the bitterness..."

"..."

...Eh...? What... did she just say...?
