Chapter 1346: Chapter 1361: Who’s Richer?
After watching for about half an hour, Lin Mu yawned out of boredom. It’s often said that watching movies is a great activity for couples, but Lin Mu thought that movies were actually quite annoying, especially Korean dramas. The women in the Lin Family Mansion watched them religiously every day, never missing an episode. Lin Mu had watched a few episodes as well and couldn’t understand what they were talking about at all! And Lin Mu got particularly irritated seeing those small-eyed pretty boys on the screen, especially when one of them was kissing a beautiful lady’s cheek. Lin Mu always felt like diving into the TV to punch the guy, or simply smashing the TV entirely.
Damn, it’s way more satisfying to watch Japanese adult films on the computer!
After enduring for more than an hour, the movie finally ended. If it had dragged on any longer, Lin Mu feared he might go insane from boredom. Of course, this type of ordeal was still better than accompanying a woman shopping. At least if Lin Mu didn’t enjoy watching, he could just doze off there.
After exiting the cinema, Haihua suggested going to the amusement park. Lin Mu had no objections, as long as it wasn’t shopping. With Lin Mu’s current level of skill and wealth, even if she wanted to turn Handan upside down, Lin Mu could easily handle it for her.
Soon, Haihua drove to Handan’s largest outdoor amusement park. As they entered, Haihua clung adorably to Lin Mu’s arm, searching for new things to play with everywhere. Roller coasters, high-altitude swings, surfing games—there wasn’t a thrilling game that Haihua was afraid to try. Naturally, Lin Mu enjoyed the fun with the beauty too, feeling quite invigorated.
Just as Haihua and Lin Mu got off the roller coaster, they suddenly heard someone calling her name,
"Haihua."
Turning around, a tall and skinny guy waved at Haihua, along with four or five other guys and girls walking over.
The guy who called out had a cigarette dangling from his lips, walking with a swagger like a fool, looking like he needed a beating. He was tall and thin, with features that made it clear he was a bit of a troublemaker.
Damn, with this kid’s demeanor, back then, his dad probably should have aimed at the wall or perhaps used the time he spent conceiving him to take a walk instead. Wouldn’t that have been better!
Haihua glanced at the approaching group with a sigh, "Gao Ji, what’s up?"
"What a coincidence, running into you here." Gao Ji grinned at Haihua.

"Yeah, it really is." Haihua wasn’t overly enthusiastic towards Gao Ji, obviously not very interested either.
"Since it’s such a coincidence, how about we all hang out together? Find a place to sit, chat a bit. Sounds good, right?" Gao Ji suggested with a smile.
"Better not, we aren’t done playing yet." Haihua declined.
Gao Ji looked embarrassed, but he still maintained a grin on his face, "Oh, alright. Then let’s just play together."
"You guys play; the two of us will manage on our own!" Haihua continued to refuse.
"And who might this be?" Gao Ji asked, glancing at Lin Mu beside her.
"He’s my husband." Haihua said, holding onto Lin Mu’s arm, fully displaying her bold demeanor.
"Ha ha, your husband, huh?" Gao Ji looked even more embarrassed. Although he was smiling on the outside, it was probably more painful than crying!
"What’s the matter? Women will grow up and get married! Am I not allowed to have a husband?" Haihua retorted at Gao Ji.
"Of course, it’s allowed. Since he’s your husband, why don’t we find a place to sing and drink, and everyone can get to know each other better!" Gao Ji suggested again, clearly showing persistent eagerness for Haihua.
"We won’t go, we haven’t finished enjoying this place yet!" Haihua replied.

"Ha ha, Haihua, you wouldn’t be so rude, right? Or is it your husband that can’t handle alcohol? Afraid we’ll force drinks on him? But rest assured, we won’t force it; drink as much as he can handle." Gao Ji said to Haihua, his tone full of sarcasm despite the absence of explicit words.
Hearing Gao Ji’s words, Lin Mu felt rather annoyed—clearly, Gao Ji was looking down on him! Obviously, underestimating him!
"Haihua, why don’t we join them? We can hit the amusement park another day, you know, I love lively gatherings—drinking and singing to unwind sounds good too!" Lin Mu suggested.
"Alright, if my husband wants to go, then we’ll go!" Haihua said gently, holding onto Lin Mu’s arm, behaving completely like a different person from the tomboyish figure two days ago!
Seeing Haihua’s display, Gao Ji’s face flashed with jealousy for a brief moment although he managed to conceal it quickly.
Led by Gao Ji, the group left the amusement park. Gao Ji and his friends got into sports cars parked outside the amusement park, while Lin Mu seated himself in Haihua’s car. Soon, with Gao Ji leading the way, the group headed towards a bar in the city center.
After about ten minutes, several cars parked in succession at the entrance of the bar. Gao Ji led his entourage over and said, "Haihua, the private room’s ready. You can go upstairs with my friends; I need to have a word with your husband in private."
Haihua glanced at Lin Mu, clearly seeking his opinion. Lin Mu knew that Gao Ji was about to show off again. Some people just feel the need to show off as if it were an addiction. Naturally, Lin Mu intended to play along with Gao Ji; otherwise, he would appear petty.
"Go ahead, I’ll be up in a bit." Lin Mu smiled gently at Haihua.
"Alright, I’ll be waiting for you!" Haihua said obediently.
With Haihua and Gao Ji’s friends inside the bar, only Lin Mu and Gao Ji remained outside now.
Lin Mu gave a slight smile, pulling out his pack of cigarettes and offering one to Gao Ji, "Care for a smoke?"

Gao Ji glanced at the cigarettes in Lin Mu’s hand, a seven-yuan pack of Hongta Mountain, and shook his head, "Better try one of mine."
With that, Gao Ji pulled out a soft pack of Zhonghua, "Tried it before?"
"Heh." Lin Mu chuckled, not because he was pleased to see such nice cigarettes, but because of Gao Ji’s boastful tone.
"I’m sure you haven’t tried it. Consider yourself lucky today." Gao Ji ostentatiously remarked.
"I’m used to Hongta Mountain; not fond of these." Lin Mu said, taking out his Hongta Mountain and lighting it up.
"Poser." Gao Ji looked at Lin Mu disdainfully, making a precise judgment within.
"Didn’t you want to talk to me? Now that no one’s around, go ahead." Lin Mu said to Gao Ji.
Gao Ji stared at Lin Mu, slowly exhaling a puff of smoke, "Do you know who I am?"
"Aren’t you Gao Ji, Haihua’s friend?" Lin Mu replied.
"Do you know I used to pursue Haihua?" Gao Ji asked.
"Didn’t know that."
"You kid, I’m puzzled—why would Haihua like a penniless nobody like you? See that?" Gao Ji pointed to the sports car beside them, "Don’t even think about owning a high-end sports car like that; you probably can’t even afford a wheel! Do you think you’re worthy of Haihua?"
