Chapter 1331: Chapter 1346: A Gamble, a Willing Price

"Girls should act like girls! Stuff like this, just leave it to us men! Otherwise what do you need a man for? You keep calling me hubby this, hubby that—if I don’t help you, people are gonna laugh at you. Alright, I’ll settle it for you. If you wanna be my woman, condition number one: you gotta learn how to be gentle!" Lin Mu lectured Haihua, staring at her. Taking this chance, Lin Mu had to train Haihua into a gentle girl; otherwise with how wild she was, and then add a Chief Police Officer on top of that, he’d be living in hell every single day! One fierce police beauty was already more than enough; the rest of the women around him had better be a bit gentler!

"Ugh, hubby, you have to help me, okay? They totally went back on their word." Haihua said, all aggrieved.

"Alright, leave this to me." Lin Mu said, then turned his head with a grin to look at Chicken Crown. "Bro, looks like you’re not planning to hand over the other car keys, huh?"

"That’s right. You can have the track and my car, but the other cars are impossible." Chicken Crown said firmly.

"Fine, since that’s how you want it, I don’t want the track or the car anymore. But you’re gonna pay back that five million you just won from me, and all the money Haihua lost here before. Then we’re square, no one owes anyone anything." Lin Mu said, then turned to Haihua. "How much did you lose to him in total?"

"Roughly a bit over ten million, I think." Haihua said.

"Okay, then give him a discount—count that five million plus that ten million, we’ll make it fifteen million flat, one price and everything’s wiped clean." Lin Mu said.

"Why the hell should I? I won that with my own skills. I win and you still want me to spit it back out?" Chicken Crown said reluctantly.

"Heh, then the deal’s off. We won—why shouldn’t we take those cars? It’s not like we owe you." Lin Mu spread his hands as he spoke.

Chicken Crown was choked by Lin Mu’s words and was instantly speechless.

"No matter what, I’m not paying back the money, and you’re not getting the cars either." Chicken Crown simply shut it down with one sentence.

"Oh? Alright then, in that case I’m done talking. I’ll just beat the keys out of you. But let me make this clear first—I’m not paying your medical bills." Lin Mu said with a smile.

Chicken Crown looked at Lin Mu and snorted coldly. Right now he really wasn’t afraid of Lin Mu, because it was just Lin Mu and Haihua, two people, while he had over ten on his side. No matter how you looked at it, if it came to a fight, Lin Mu and Haihua had zero advantage.

Even if Haihua had a strong underworld background, Chicken Crown still wasn’t scared. If it was just a small loss, he’d maybe back down, throw a few million to settle it. After all, Haihua’s got a scar-face old man with serious clout behind her, and if things blew up it’d be bad for everyone. But when it came to fifteen million, Chicken Crown wasn’t going to back off. That was a freaking astronomical figure!

"You wanna fight? Fine, I’ll keep you company to the end." Chicken Crown said without the slightest fear.

Seeing Chicken Crown’s smug attitude, Haihua got pissed immediately. She wanted to rush up and start swinging, but for the sake of maintaining her cultivated lady image and elegance, she forced herself to hold back, pretending to be a delicate little woman as she leaned against Lin Mu’s side. Otherwise she would’ve gone up and kicked him to death already.

Lin Mu looked at Chicken Crown, chuckled, then took one step forward, moving so fast it was like teleporting, appearing right in front of Chicken Crown. "You? You’re not even qualified to fight me."

Chicken Crown just opened his mouth to retort, but before he could say anything he suddenly felt his body go light, like he’d been caught in an iron clamp. The next second, he realized in shock that his feet were no longer touching the ground.

Yup, Chicken Crown had been casually hoisted up by Lin Mu, as easily as if he were picking up a little chick.

Lin Mu lifted Chicken Crown up and chuckled. "I’ll give you one more chance. Are you handing over those car keys or not?"

"D-dream on." Chicken Crown was terrified on the inside, but he still gritted his teeth and stubbornly refused. Based on his experience, he told himself he absolutely couldn’t cave, or he’d die a horrible death.

While they were talking, a few of Chicken Crown’s buddies came rushing up behind him. They pointed at Lin Mu viciously and yelled, "Hurry up and put Brother Chicken down, or you’re dead meat!"

"Don’t act so cocky! There’s over ten of us and just one of you. We’ll beat you till you’re six feet under!"

"Put him down now, or we’ll start swinging."

"Fuck, talking nice doesn’t work with you, huh?"

The guys around him kept pointing at Lin Mu and shouting.

Lin Mu found them annoying and was out of patience. Looked like if he didn’t show them some color, they’d never figure out how big the sky was or how thick the earth was. With a loud smack, he casually swung Chicken Crown and flung him to the ground.

"Ow—!" Chicken Crown was smashed against the wall, then dropped to the floor and let out a miserable scream.

The few guys surrounding Lin Mu couldn’t hold back anymore when they saw that. They rushed at Lin Mu baring their teeth and claws. Of course, dealing with a couple of punks like this was nothing more than a warm-up for Lin Mu. This bunch couldn’t pose any threat to him at all.

So Lin Mu’s figure blurred as he slipped out of the crowd. The few guys had been ready to gang up on him, but suddenly realized he’d vanished. They were dumbfounded. Just as they were looking around for him, they felt a sharp pain slam into their backs. The next moment, they were all stumbling and crashing to the ground, while all Lin Mu had done was casually throw a few punches and kicks.

"Heh, with this little bit of skill you still wanna start a fight?" Lin Mu clapped his hands and laughed. Those pitiful Lanzai hadn’t even seen his figure before they were all knocked flat. They were basically a bunch of clowns.

The guys lying on the ground whimpered in pain. They weren’t seriously injured, but it hurt like hell. Of course, that had everything to do with Lin Mu’s technique—this bastard specifically aimed for the spots where the nerves were most concentrated!

Lin Mu ignored the groaning idiots and turned his gaze back to Chicken Crown. He smiled and said, "Now think it over again—are you giving them to me, or not?"

Chicken Crown glanced at Lin Mu. He knew very well he was no match for this guy. As the saying goes, a wise man doesn’t suffer losses in front of him. Chicken Crown definitely wasn’t going to act tough anymore.

He’d only dared talk tough before because he had backup. Now that his backup was useless, he could only admit defeat.

"I’ll give them!" Chicken Crown answered helplessly, completely tamed now.

"Heh, that’s more like it. Hand over the keys." Lin Mu said with a smile.

Chicken Crown got up and said to the guys still on the ground, "Give him all the car keys."

The guys didn’t hesitate anymore. They had to hand them over sooner or later anyway; the sooner they did, the sooner they got out of this hell. If they didn’t, would this walking disaster in front of them really let them go? So they all took out their car keys and passed them to Lin Mu.
