Chapter 1322: Chapter 1337: I’ll Kill You in Minutes
"Wait a bit longer, it’s not time yet." one of the cops said.
"Where’s your big squad leader? Kinda irresponsible, don’t you think?" Lin Mu said.
"Just wait, stop talking crap." that cop said, then ignored Lin Mu.
Another twenty minutes passed before the door of the interrogation room was finally pushed open. Ren Wu walked in from outside, holding a folder in his hand. Lin Mu watched this bastard finally show up—if he hadn’t come, Lin Mu was really about to rush out himself.
Ren Wu came in, gave Lin Mu a look, then sat down.
"Hey, uh, Captain Ren, whatever you’re gonna ask, just hurry it up, yeah? I haven’t eaten yet, I’m starving!" Lin Mu said to Ren Wu.
"Nothing much to ask. Just sign your name on this." Ren Wu said, then handed the folder in his hand to the cop beside him.
The cop took the folder, walked over to Lin Mu, and handed him a pen at the same time.
"Sign your name here." The cop pointed at the signature line.
Of course Lin Mu wasn’t some dumbass. He glanced over the contents of the document and then let out a laugh. This wasn’t some ordinary form, it was a confession statement. It said how Lin Mu was suspected of assault, listed his motive and reasons and all that crap. As long as he signed his name, with this charge alone, he’d probably be spending the rest of his life rotting in prison.
"Hey, Captain Ren, what, did your brain get flooded or something? You really think everyone else is the same kind of idiot as you? You want me to sign a confession? You think I’m like you, got my head crushed in the doorway as soon as I walked in here?" Lin Mu stared coldly at Ren Wu as he spoke. On the surface he was sneering, but inside he was pissed as hell.
Ren Wu’s face showed no hint of a smile as he stared at Lin Mu. "Wang Sicong is my nephew, so I have to protect him. This signature, you’re signing it whether you want to or not."
This confession had long been prepared by Ren Wu, all for dealing with Lin Mu. As soon as the signature went down, he could immediately send Lin Mu to the judicial system, where he’d sit in a cell till the end of his days.
"Oh? Yeah? Heh. I was wondering why you were licking the Wang Family’s boots so hard. Turns out you’re all one big happy family. But I’m telling you right now, I’m not signing. What the hell can you do to me?" Lin Mu said with a smile.
Ren Wu’s face was still icy. In a flash he whipped a gun out from his waist. "What do you think I can do to you?"
"Hey, this is a police station, you know. You dare shoot me?" Lin Mu smiled, not the slightest bit afraid.
"You think I don’t dare pull the trigger?" Ren Wu gave a cold laugh. Just judging by the feeling, Lin Mu figured this guy really might shoot.
"Heh, not bad, you’ve got some balls at least." Lin Mu gave Ren Wu a cold thumbs-up.
"Then what are you still standing there for? Hurry up and sign your name." Ren Wu said coldly.
"Heh. You think just because you’re holding a gun you can force me to sign? Let me tell you straight: I hate it most when someone points a gun at me. People who point guns at me never end well—including you." Lin Mu let out a cold laugh. He’d been pissed for a while already, and at this moment Ren Wu was still putting on that badass act, pressing a gun to Lin Mu’s forehead.
If Ren Wu thought waving a gun around would make Lin Mu afraid, then he was dead wrong. In Lin Mu’s eyes, Ren Wu’s behavior was nothing but a pathetic show-off move mixed with incompetence. And this kind of braindead performance? Lin Mu usually had to slap it back hard. He hated seeing anyone pretending to be hot shit in front of him—gun or no gun, that included Ren Wu.
So right after Lin Mu finished talking, a ghost-like blur flashed past Ren Wu. In the blink of an eye, the gun in Ren Wu’s hand was already in Lin Mu’s. In between, Ren Wu didn’t even have time to react. That’s the gap between a bottom-tier grunt and a super soldier king.
Lin Mu pointed the gun at Ren Wu and let out a cold laugh. "Trying to act tough in front of me? You’re way too green. Since you like playing with guns so much, how about I let you taste a few bullets."
Lin Mu didn’t give a damn that this was a police station, or that Ren Wu was some little cop. So what? If he was pissed, he’d shoot. The bastard would still have to obediently take it, right? The next second, there were two loud bangs. Two bullets had already smashed into Ren Wu’s knees.
And Lin Mu hadn’t aimed for his thighs. The effect of hitting the knees and hitting the thighs was completely different. These two shots directly crippled both of Ren Wu’s legs—no way he’d ever stand up again in this life.
Because in Lin Mu’s view, trash like Ren Wu wasn’t worthy of being a cop at all. Trying to play some high-level fake confession game with a North African Soldier king? With cops like this, who knew how many decent people would get screwed over in the future? Right now in Huaxia Country, all those wrongful convictions and bullshit cases were mostly caused by trash cops like him. So Lin Mu was decisive as hell—two ruthless shots and that’s it. Go home and retire early, stop screwing over the people.
Ren Wu’s legs lost all support and he collapsed to the floor. The pain was unbearable; his howling sounded just like a pig getting slaughtered.
"Motherfucker, your titanium-alloy dog eyes must be blind! You dare pull this shit in front of me? Looking for death, aren’t you? What, you think Wang Sicong was so badass you want to die as miserably as he did?" Lin Mu kicked Ren Wu twice.
"Y-You actually fired a gun in a police station?" Ren Wu lay on the ground, his face twisted in pain as he glared at Lin Mu. Clearly he hadn’t expected Lin Mu to be this bold, actually shooting in the station.
"Heh, dealing with scum like you, what would I not dare to do? If you really piss me off, I can kill you in minutes. If you don’t believe it, we can try it right now." Lin Mu said with a cold smile.
"You fire a gun in here, there’s no way you’re getting out. Lin Mu, you’re finished, totally finished!" Ren Wu glared viciously at Lin Mu.
"I’m totally finished, yeah? Good. Then I might as well wreck you properly first." Lin Mu had actually thought about letting the guy go because he looked so pathetic. But he didn’t expect this punk to still be running his mouth, still that arrogant even now. If he didn’t beat him down properly, that’d be letting down the country, the government, and all the innocent people this bastard had bullied.
Lin Mu raised the gun, didn’t hesitate at all, and fired several more shots into Ren Wu’s legs, emptying the magazine.
"Out of bullets already?" Lin Mu was annoyed. He wasn’t satisfied yet—he still wanted to fire a few more rounds. But there were no bullets left. No way, he had to enjoy this properly.
Lin Mu had always liked doing things his own way, and whatever he played, he had to enjoy it to the fullest. So he said to the two small-time cops beside him who were still frozen in shock, "Hey, you two, hand over your guns."
"Huh? Our guns?" the cops said in surprise.
"No shit. Hand them over, and don’t make me come take them myself." Lin Mu said impatiently.
