Chapter 1259: Chapter 1274: The Old Man Shows Himself

In the next second, six ninjas stood in a row and simultaneously turned their gaze toward Lin Mu. Shoo! As they extended their hands, several ninja shurikens flew toward Lin Mu without warning.

"Trivial trick." Lin Mu sneered and quickly reached out his hands. Although he only used two hands, due to his speed, it appeared like countless hands. In the blink of an eye, he caught all the shurikens thrown by the six ninjas.

"Returning them all to you." Lin Mu coldly chuckled, hurling the shurikens back at the six ninjas.

The six ninjas swiftly dodged aside and surrounded Lin Mu. Having battled many ninjas before, Lin Mu understood their tactics. In terms of individual strength, they were far inferior to Lin Mu. However, their array was intricate, and their teamwork was seamless, enhancing their overall strength. Naturally, Lin Mu wouldn’t confront them head-on; he aimed to pinpoint their weaknesses and hit them hard.

Hence, Lin Mu decided to adopt a strategy of breaking them individually, focusing on a slightly weaker ninja, evading the attacks from others, and rushing toward this unlucky fellow.

This ninja was unaware of Lin Mu’s strategic intentions and assumed they had the support of their peers, thus charging towards Lin Mu.

Bam bam, Lin Mu swiftly punched, concentrating his efforts to overpower this slightly weaker opponent. Lin Mu’s moves were extremely fierce, with an overwhelming rhythm causing the adversary to retreat repeatedly.

Nonetheless, the ninjas’ cooperation remained exquisite, with their tactic applied successfully. Observing Lin Mu focusing his attack on one, the other five ninjas launched an assault on Lin Mu from both sides.

If Lin Mu continued his aggressive attack on this ninja, the other five would land blows on him.

Still, Lin Mu did not alter his strategy. He aimed to disrupt the ninjas’ team coordination, so he ignored the attacks from the other ninjas. With a whoosh, he leaped into the air, skillfully evading the attack, and flashed behind the target ninja.

The unlucky guy had just turned around when Lin Mu swiftly threw a punch, instantly hitting the ninja’s chest, achieving a kill in a flash!

The adversary suffered internal injuries, staggering backwards a few steps. As Lin Mu was about to unleash a killer move, the remaining five ninjas blocked his path.

However, Lin Mu’s intent was to attack from the void and not engage the five ninjas head-on. Instead, he leaped again, swiftly flashing behind the injured ninja. As the ninja turned around again, Lin Mu punched, causing the ninja to stagger backwards while the five ninjas once more blocked Lin Mu’s path.

Lin Mu still would not engage them; clearly, his speed surpassed theirs. Using his agile movement technique, he leapt into the air, once again appearing before the ninja. The injured ninja was stunned, thinking, "Darn it, do we have a grudge or something? Why keep targeting just me?"

With that, Lin Mu played a game of eagle catching chick with them, assuming the role of the eagle. Eventually, the ninjas, having no solution, surrounded the injured ninja to protect them.

Although Lin Mu didn’t incapacitate the injured ninja, he achieved his goal, successfully disrupting the ninjas’ formation and transforming their coordination into several protecting one through the entanglement earlier.

Seeing the chance, Lin Mu launched a sudden attack, forcing the bewildered ninjas to retreat one after another.

In the blink of an eye, one ninja suffered a heavy punch from Lin Mu, leaving them utterly powerless. Subsequently, several other ninjas were successively defeated, suffering severe punches to the head and fainting on the spot.

After these ninjas fainted, Lin Mu realized Lingmu had already disappeared. Nonetheless, Lin Mu wasn’t bothered; his target was Hatanaka Tairou, the real boss. Once he defeated this paper tiger, the old man’s task would be complete, and Lin Mu could comfortably take Caini and Guo Meimei back to Huaxia.

At the door, Lin Mu kicked with force, opening a large gap in the door. Entering the yard, he found it eerily quiet, with not a soul in sight.

"Hatanaka Tairou, your Grandpa Lin is here. Come out and meet your death!" Lin Mu called out in the yard.

Though the shout was calm, it carried a strong penetrating force, as Lin Mu used the Celestial Sound Transmission Skill from the Diamond Sutra. Within a radius of one kilometer, anyone could hear it.

"Are you Lin Mu?" A similarly penetrating voice sounded, though no figure was visible.

"Yes, it is your Grandpa Lin," Lin Mu replied, quickly heading toward a nearby house, judging Hatanaka Tairou’s location from the sound earlier.

Rushing up to the doorway, Lin Mu kicked it open, entering a large hall. An elderly man in his fifties or sixties was sitting by a wooden table, on which were a cup of tea and an Eastern saber.

The old man appeared frail and skeletal, yet exuded a powerful aura, feeling bone-deep.

"You must be Hatanaka Tairou, right?" Lin Mu looked at the old man seated on the stool and asked.

"Indeed, I am." Hatanaka Tairou replied, lifting the tea on the table and sipping it lightly.

"Ha, finally found you." Lin Mu sneered devilishly, though outwardly calm, yet filled with vigilance. Lin Mu sensed from his instincts that this old man was no simple foe and likely difficult to deal with.

Hatanaka Tairou drank the tea, glancing at Lin Mu, seemingly with a hint of warmth in his eyes, "Hehe, so young and skilled, truly promising."

"You’re not bad either, old but fit!" Lin Mu wasn’t swayed by the other’s sentiment, responding with understated nonchalance.

"I wonder who your master is? I’d like to know who’s capable of teaching such a promising young disciple." Hatanaka Tairou asked Lin Mu calmly, with a voice like a tranquil lake, causing no ripples, yet instilling a sense of outward calm that, once erupted, would be tumultuous.

"Just with you, old scoundrel, you’re not worthy of knowing my master’s name. But before you die, I’ll let you know." Lin Mu addressed Hatanaka Tairou.

"Hehe, truly young and impetuous! But still a bit youthful, not quite steady. Of course, when I was young, I was like you too!" Hatanaka Tairou spoke akin to an elder, seemingly ready to impart some wisdom to Lin Mu.

"Yes, when young, if not impulsive, is one even human?" Lin Mu chuckled, shrugging his shoulders.

"You may leave. I’ll spare you this time. If you wish to defeat me, let your master come instead. You’re not my match. When I was as young as you, I hadn’t reached such prowess, so although defeating you is quite tempting, it indeed would be a bit regrettable." Hatanaka Tairou glanced at Lin Mu, proudly stating.
