Chapter 1240: Chapter 1255: Caini the Dancer

"You’re awake!" A girl walked in from outside. She was quite pretty, with big bright eyes and short hair, looking very clean and neat, without the annoying national characteristics of an East woman.

Lin Mu nodded, realizing it was probably this girl who saved him last night, and greeted her in Huaxia language, "Thank you, was it you who saved me last night?"

"Oh, you’re also a Huaxia person?" The girl didn’t answer Lin Mu’s question but asked curiously.

The girl not speaking up triggered Lin Mu’s realization that she also spoke Huaxia language, which meant she was a Huaxia person too.

"Yes, are you too?" Lin Mu couldn’t help but ask.

"What a coincidence, I’m also a Huaxia person, that’s great, I never imagined meeting one of my own in the East." The girl seemed excited and was not at all distant from Lin Mu, as if they were naturally familiar with each other.

It must be said, this was quite a coincidence, Lin Mu never thought he would be saved by a fellow Huaxia. All this was truly a matter of fate!

"I really have to thank you for last night. It was all thanks to you!" Lin Mu felt the girl was quite kind.

"No need to thank me, it was a small effort! At that time I saw someone suddenly appear in front of me and then collapse, so I couldn’t just stand by and do nothing, could I?" The girl giggled.

"Someone flying?" Lin Mu chuckled helplessly.

"If you hadn’t said anything, I would have forgotten to ask, how did you suddenly appear in front of me?" The girl asked curiously.

"Huh?" Lin Mu was slightly stunned, recalling the scene from last night. Upon hearing a ticking sound, Lin Mu immediately dashed out of the car and used his life’s fastest speed to escape! Even with such speed, he was still impacted by the blast’s wave. But the explosion of the car was so loud, the girl should have seen it, right?

"What’s up? Could it be that you really fell from the sky? But now that I think about it, you did descend from above!" The girl joked self-reflectively. 𝕗𝐫𝐞𝕖𝕨𝐞𝗯𝚗𝕠𝘃𝐞𝚕.𝐜𝗼𝚖

Feeling very frustrated, Lin Mu asked, "Didn’t you see the car explode last night?"

"Car explosion? I heard it but didn’t see it, it seemed to be very far away, I’m not sure, just a blast sound." The girl nodded as she spoke.

"Uh, geez..."

No wonder, it was probably because Lin Mu rushed out of the car so fast, and with the impact of the airblast, he ended up far from the explosion site. It’s truly incredible how he managed to sprint from such a distance? It seems that in life-or-death situations, survival instincts can indeed be astonishing!

"By the way, I don’t know what your name is yet?" The girl looked at Lin Mu and smiled, seemingly having moved past the previous question.

"Haha, I’m Lin Mu, and you?" Lin Mu chuckled and asked.

"I’m Caini." The girl said.

"Stepping in mud?" Lin Mu frowned, the name was quite amusing, "Why not Picking Flowers, a girl called Stepping in Mud is so inelegant."

"Not stepping in mud, it’s Caini, ’Cai’ as in vibrant, ’Ni’ as in girl." The girl explained.

"Haha, I knew it, how could you be called Stepping in Mud, what if you fall? Haha!" Lin Mu laughed and said.

"Stop teasing me, is this how you treat your savior?" Caini said, hands on her hips, to Lin Mu.

"Uh... alright, I won’t tease you anymore." Lin Mu chuckled, finding this Caini quite amusing.

"By the way, do you work in Hiroshima City as well?" Caini looked at Lin Mu and asked again.

"No." Lin Mu suddenly felt quite sullen, bringing back thoughts of Man Luo, could she really be dead?

"What’s the matter? Why do you look unhappy?" Caini asked.

"Nothing." Lin Mu forced a smile. His current goal was revenge, to avenge Man Luo, whether Man Luo was truly dead or not, Lin Mu was determined to rid himself of Jinye, to destroy the Jushi Association.

"No way, you must be hiding something from me," Caini said, hands on her slender waist, looking at Lin Mu, "Do you not see me as a friend?"

"Of course not."

"Then tell me." Caini seemed relentless in her questioning.

"Uh... I’m here to kill someone." Lin Mu smiled slightly and said to Caini.

"Kill someone?" Caini pouted helplessly, and then touched Lin Mu’s forehead with a self-talking expression, "There’s no fever here?"

"Uh..." Lin Mu was speechless, thinking this girl must believe he’s got a screw loose.

"Alright, I won’t ramble on with you, I’ve prepared breakfast, let’s eat first. After eating, I have to go to work too." Caini gestured casually.

Lin Mu touched his belly, feeling a bit hungry indeed, and followed Caini to the living room, where breakfast was already prepared on the table. Lin Mu sat down without hesitation and started devouring it.

"Can’t you slow down a bit? I specially made two portions; no one’s going to snatch it from you." Caini said, watching Lin Mu gulping down the food.

"I couldn’t help it, I’m starving." Lin Mu said as he ate.

"You’re such a pig!"

Ten minutes later, Caini finished breakfast and said to Lin Mu, "Alright, since you’re fine now, I won’t keep you. I have to work, you can go home."

Lin Mu nodded, not intending to stay here. Although Caini was quite pretty, Lin Mu currently had no mood for wooing girls. His sole aim was to find Jinye and bring him down, so he and Caini went downstairs together and then parted ways.

Lin Mu glanced at the time, it was already past ten in the morning. Lin Mu was a bit confused, why was Caini going to work at this time? What kind of job did she have?

Of course, Lin Mu wasn’t focused on these details. What he needed to do was find Jinye and think of a way to eliminate him. But Hiroshima City was vast, and he wasn’t familiar with it, finding Jinye was indeed challenging, though not impossible. As long as he could locate the Jushi Association’s base, he would certainly find Jinye.

Finding the Jushi Association would be relatively easier than finding Jinye. Lin Mu thought about it and decided to find a place to inquire. The Jushi Association had taken root in Hiroshima City, so there must be bars and entertainment venues belonging to them. As long as he found those places, he wouldn’t fear not finding Jinye and Uro Iji, those two bastards.

With his mind made up, Lin Mu found a taxi. After getting in, Lin Mu asked the driver. For a large organization like the Jushi Association, taxi drivers generally knew where their bases were. So, at Lin Mu’s request, the driver took him to the largest bar under Jushi Association’s name, the Asahi Club.

Moreover, on the way, the driver introduced the Asahi Club with great enthusiasm, claiming it was the most luxurious and largest bar in Hiroshima City, bustling day and night, teeming with endless customers, essentially painting it as a paradise everyone wanted to visit.
