Chapter 515: Senior... this is still a terrible idea.

After listening to Daren’s explanation, both women couldn’t help but be impressed.

"This is an incredibly useful artifact," Adelia said with genuine admiration.

"It really is," Selena agreed with a nod. "Artifacts capable of long-distance teleportation are exceptionally rare."

Amon grinned.

"Exactly!"

He held the cube up proudly.

"With this, I can escape from dangerous situations whenever I want. No more life-and-death situations for me!"

Daren immediately snorted.

"Hah! Boy, don’t get too excited."

He folded his thick arms.

"This artifact isn’t as invincible as you’re imagining."

Amon blinked.

"Huh?"

Daren pointed at the cube.

"Opening a teleportation portal isn’t instantaneous. It takes a few seconds for the spatial tunnel to stabilize. If an enemy is already standing right in front of you, they can simply attack before the portal fully forms."

He continued patiently.

"So yes, it’s an excellent tool for travel, retreat, and transportation. But don’t treat it as some unbeatable escape technique. Maybe sometimes but not always."

Amon awkwardly scratched the back of his head.

"...I guess that makes sense."

Daren nodded.

"Besides, every teleport consumes the mana stored inside the artifact. If you keep using it recklessly without recharging it, you’ll eventually drain its reserves. The farther the destination, the more mana it consumes. So always keep enough energy stored for emergencies."

"I will."

Amon nodded seriously before smiling again.

"Still... it’s amazing."

Selena crossed her arms.

"Register one of the locations as my palace."

Amon looked at her.

"Oh. That’s actually not a bad idea." He said jokingly.

Professor Adelia smiled.

"Register Arcadia Academy as well. That way you’ll always have a safe place to return to."

Amon nodded.

"Yes, I was planning to make the academy one of the locations."

Selena continued,

"The remaining locations are up to you."

She smiled faintly.

"I’ll simply borrow the artifact whenever I need to return home."

Amon chuckled.

"I can certainly do that much for my wonderful Senior who paid the entire repair fee."

"Haha!"

Daren laughed loudly.

"What a fortunate young man."

He looked between Amon and Selena.

"Not everyone can proudly say they’re good friends with the Crown Princess. You’re truly lucky."

Amon immediately laughed along with him.

"Haha! Of course I’m lucky!"

Professor Adelia couldn’t help laughing softly at Amon’s cheerful response.

Selena simply clicked her tongue.

"Tch."

She looked toward Daren.

"How much do I owe you?"

Daren stroked his braided beard thoughtfully.

"Well... Repairing an artifact of this level would normally cost considerably more."

He looked at the bronze cube with admiration.

"But thanks to this young man, I had the opportunity to study an incredibly ancient and fascinating artifact. I learned quite a lot while restoring it."

"So I’ll charge a discounted price."

He smiled.

"Just four thousand gold coins."

Amon’s eyes nearly popped out of their sockets.

"What the fu—"

He immediately covered his mouth.

Professor Adelia looked at him.

"Amon. No bad words."

He immediately lowered his head.

"...Sorry. I was just... shocked by the price."

He possessed around six thousand gold coins currently.

Selena, however, remained completely unfazed. She calmly took out a pouch from storage ring and handed it to Daren.

"Don’t worry, Amon. This amount is insignificant for me."

Daren accepted the pouch with a satisfied smile before storing it away.

"Thank you very much for your generosity, Princess."

Selena simply nodded.

"You’re welcome."

She then turned toward the others.

"We should get going."

Professor Adelia smiled politely.

"It was nice seeing you again, Daren."

"I hope we’ll meet again."

The dwarf laughed heartily.

"Haha!"

"I’m sure we will."

Amon carefully placed the restored teleportation artifact inside his storage ring before waving goodbye.

"See you next time, Daren."

The dwarf raised one of his large hands and waved back.

"Take care, young man. And don’t forget what I told you. Keep the artifact charged..."

"...and don’t lose it."

Amon smiled confidently.

"I won’t."

With that, the three of them left the workshop, carrying the newly restored teleportation artifact with them.

---

"So... you really wanted me to register this location in my artifact? I thought you were joking."

Amon asked as he looked around the place where he was standing.

He, Selena, and Professor Adelia were currently inside the royal palace.

More specifically, they were inside Selena’s private chamber.

The room was spacious and luxurious, befitting the residence of the Crown Princess of Valmoria. Elegant white marble walls were adorned with silver decorations, while floor-to-ceiling windows allowed warm morning sunlight to stream inside.

Soft carpets covered the polished floor, and expensive paintings and bookshelves decorated the room. Everything reflected both royalty and refined taste.

Selena folded her arms beneath her chest and looked at him with a scoff.

"Yes. What’s wrong with it? I paid for your artifact’s repair. The very least you can do is grant me this small request."

Professor Adelia smiled awkwardly before speaking.

"I understand that, Selena... but why do you want him to register the teleportation point inside your personal chamber?"

That was exactly the issue.

Amon rubbed his forehead with a helpless expression.

"That’s exactly what I’m saying!"

He pointed toward the door.

"We can register the location outside the palace, near the entrance, in one of the corridors, outside your room, or even in one of the main halls."

He looked at Selena seriously.

"Think about it. If I register your bedroom as a destination, I could literally appear here whenever I wanted."

He paused before continuing.

"And that’s not even the biggest problem. What if this artifact somehow falls into someone else’s hands? Someone with bad intentions could use it to infiltrate the royal palace. That would be incredibly dangerous."

Selena remained silent for a moment before nodding slightly.

"You do have a valid point."

She rested a finger against her chin.

"Personally, I wouldn’t mind if you sneaked into my room."

Amon’s eye twitched.

She continued calmly.

"But if the artifact were stolen by someone else... then yes, it could become a serious security risk."

Amon immediately nodded.

"Exactly! So let’s register the destination somewhere outside the palace instead."

Selena smiled faintly.

"But you’re forgetting one thing."

She looked at him with complete confidence.

"My mother is the greatest spatial mage in the kingdom. If anyone disturbs space or attempts to open a teleportation portal anywhere inside the palace, she will sense it immediately."

Amon blinked.

"...So?"

"So it’s perfectly safe."

She pointed toward the floor. "Register the location here."

Then she narrowed her eyes slightly. "Just don’t lose the artifact."

Amon let out a defeated sigh.

"Senior... this is still a terrible idea."

Selena simply smiled.

"I think it’s an excellent one. If you loose the artifact i can ask mother to formed a barrier around this room. By which no could open a portal here."

Professor Adelia watched the two argue for another moment before letting out a soft sigh and shaking her head with a helpless smile.

"You two really are something..."
