Chapter 513: Weekend With Two beautiful Ladies
Amon stood before the grand gates of Arcadia Academy.
Today was Sunday, the day he would travel to the royal capital alongside his Senior, Selena, and Professor Adelia.
He had dressed neatly for the occasion.
A crisp white long-sleeved shirt covered his upper body, with the sleeves rolled up to his forearms. He paired it with well-fitted beige trousers, giving him a clean yet casual appearance.
The morning air was cool and refreshing. Gentle sunlight illuminated the academy grounds as students leisurely walked around the campus, enjoying their day off.
Amon stood patiently near the entrance, waiting.
Soon, the first person arrived.
It was Selena.
She wore a beautiful, elegant dress that perfectly complemented her graceful figure. Her long silver-white hair flowed freely down her back, shimmering beneath the morning sunlight. Her crimson-red eyes immediately found Amon as she walked toward him with her usual composed expression.
A warm smile appeared on Amon’s face.
"Good morning, Senior Selena."
She gave him a slight nod.
"Good morning."
Amon looked at her for a moment before smiling.
"You look gorgeous today."
A faint smile appeared on Selena’s lips.
"Thank you."
She stopped before him before folding her arms.
"That aside..."
Her red eyes narrowed slightly.
"Who is this other person you mentioned? The one who’s joining us?"
Amon simply smiled.
"You’ll find out soon who is she."
One of Selena’s eyebrows rose.
"’She?’ So a woman."
She looked at him with an amused expression.
"I honestly should’ve expected that from you."
Amon blinked.
"What do you mean?"
"I mean..." she replied calmly, "...when you told me someone else would be accompanying us, for some reason I was certain it would be a girl."
She sighed dramatically.
"You really do have far more female friends than male ones."
Amon frowned in protest.
"That’s not true."
"Oh?"
Selena tilted her head.
"Then explain."
"I have plenty of good male friends too."
He began counting on his fingers.
"Marcus... Sam... Lian... Mark..."
Selena nodded.
"Yes. But apart from Marcus, I hardly ever see you spending time with any of them."
She looked directly into his eyes.
"Meanwhile, you’re almost always surrounded by girls."
Amon suddenly found himself unable to respond.
He awkwardly scratched the back of his head.
"T-There’s a perfectly valid reason for that."
Selena folded her arms beneath her chest.
"And what exactly is that valid reason?"
Amon thought for a moment before answering.
"You see... most noble boys never really liked me. They acted politely in front of me, but I could always tell they looked down on me because I was a commoner."
He shrugged.
"As for the commoner students... they don’t dislike me. They’re just hesitant to approach me because I’m usually seen with noble students like Marcus and the others."
Selena silently listened.
"And?"
"And..." Amon smiled.
"...I happened to become friends with some really kind noble ladies."
He counted once again.
"Seraphina, Eliana, Aisha."
He then looked at Selena with a grin.
"And the kindest one of them all, my amazing Senior."
Selena clicked her tongue.
"Tch. You really have a sweet tongue."
She looked away, hiding the faint smile threatening to appear.
Amon chuckled awkwardly.
"I was only telling the truth."
Before Selena could reply.
"I’m sorry."
A gentle, melodious voice drifted toward them.
"I seem to be a little late."
Both of them turned around.
Walking toward them was Professor Adelia.
Her long, wavy emerald-green hair shimmered beautifully beneath the golden morning sunlight. A gentle breeze caused several strands to sway gracefully behind her.
Unlike her usual academy attire, today she wore a simple yet elegant dress that highlighted her natural beauty without appearing extravagant. Her sinful curves couldn’t be hidden by them.
The warm smile on her face made her seem approachable as always.
Amon smiled brightly.
"Good morning, Professor."
"You aren’t late at all."
"We only arrived a few minutes ago."
Adelia smiled softly.
"That’s good to hear."
She walked over until she stood beside them.
Amon looked at her with admiration.
"You look beautiful today, Professor."
Her gentle smile widened slightly.
"Thank you, Amon."
Selena glanced between the two of them before looking back at Amon.
"You really are something."
Amon blinked.
"Hm?"
She sighed dramatically.
"I honestly thought you’d invited one of your classmates."
She looked at Adelia.
"But you somehow managed to bring a professor instead."
Adelia let out a soft laugh.
"He actually asked me to accompany him several weeks ago."
Selena slowly turned toward Amon.
"...Is that so?"
Cold sweat immediately formed on Amon’s forehead.
"W-Well..."
Selena narrowed her eyes.
"So you asked Professor Adelia first. Which means..."
She paused dramatically.
"...I interrupted your little dat—"
"Wait!"
Amon hurriedly waved both hands.
"I was going to invite you too! I just never got the chance!"
Selena looked at him suspiciously.
"...Really?"
"Really!"
He nodded repeatedly.
"I swear."
Selena stared at him for another moment before finally sighing.
"...Fine. I’ll believe you."
Amon secretly let out a sigh of relief.
Adelia couldn’t help but chuckle after watching the exchange.
"Well then..."
She clasped her hands together.
"Shall we leave?"
Both of them nodded.
"Yes."
---
A brilliant white light engulfed the trio as they stepped through the teleportation gate.
A moment later.
Shiiiii—
The surrounding scenery changed completely.
They emerged inside the bustling royal capital of the Kingdom of Valmoria.
The magnificent city of Mordheim stretched before them.
Wide stone roads extended throughout the capital, while countless elegant buildings lined both sides of the streets. Beautiful flower beds decorated the sidewalks, and colorful banners fluttered from lamp posts in the gentle morning breeze.
People from every corner of the kingdom walked through the lively streets.
Merchants enthusiastically promoted their goods.
Nobles rode past in luxurious carriages.
Adventurers chatted loudly as they headed toward the guild.
The entire city radiated prosperity.
Adelia looked around with nostalgic eyes.
"It’s been quite a while since I last visited this city."
Amon glanced toward her.
"When was the last time you came here, Professor?"
She thought for a moment.
"Hmm..."
"Oh."
"That really has been a long time."
As they continued walking through the lively streets, Selena quietly observed Amon from his other side.
A playful smile slowly appeared on her face.
She leaned closer until her lips were near his ear.
In a low voice, she whispered,
"You know, Amon...You’ll have to become a noble someday."
Amon suddenly flinched. The warm breath brushing against his ear made him instinctively shiver.
He lowered his voice so Adelia wouldn’t hear.
"W-What? Why?"
Selena smiled innocently.
"If you really intend to marry so many women in the future..."
"...you’ll need a much higher status."
Amon’s eye twitched.
He immediately understood exactly what she was referring to.
Amon’s eye twitched. "And may I know who these women are?"
Selena’s lips curled into a mischievous smirk. "Oh, that’s easy."
She began counting on her fingers. "Scarlett, Seraphina, Aisha and Professor Adelia."
Amon immediately frowned.
"Hey! I have no intention of doing anything like that."
Selena simply shrugged.
"Oh, come on. You’re my adorable junior and a good friend."
She smiled playfully.
"One day I’ll become the Queen of Valmoria. When that happens, I can simply bestow a noble title upon you."
She tilted her head.
"How does that sound?"
Amon couldn’t help but smile helplessly. He knew she was only joking. Becoming a noble was never that simple.
Even as the future queen, Selena couldn’t freely grant noble titles unless she possessed absolute authority comparable to her mother. Even then, there was still the existence of her granduncle, Alistair, whose influence extended throughout the kingdom.
Before Amon could reply.
"A noble title?"
Professor Adelia looked at them curiously.
"Why would Amon need one?"
She had only heard the latter half of their conversation and had completely missed the part where Selena mentioned marriage and listed the women’s names.
Amon immediately tried to explain.
"Professor Adelia, it’s nothing important."
"Senior is just teasing m—"
Selena interrupted him without hesitation.
"I mean, he’ll need one if he plans to marry several women in the future."
Adelia blinked in surprise.
"Oh my..."
She looked genuinely astonished.
Her emerald-green eyes shifted toward Amon.
"Amon..."
She smiled gently.
"Normally, that isn’t something I’d encourage."
She paused for a moment before continuing.
"But...You’re a good boy. So, if there are genuinely women who love you...I don’t think there’s anything wrong with marrying them."
Amon froze. His eyes widened in disbelief.
For a moment, he genuinely couldn’t tell whether Professor Adelia meant those words or whether she had simply joined Selena in teasing him.
Selena could no longer hold herself back.
"Hahaha!"
She burst into laughter, completely abandoning her usual calm and elegant demeanor.
Even Adelia covered her mouth as she laughed softly.
Amon slowly took a deep breath. He silently decided that trying to defend himself any further would only make things worse.
So, he simply kept quiet.
After calming down, Adelia looked at Selena curiously.
"By the way...Who are these lucky women he’s supposedly going to marry?"
Selena’s mischievous smile immediately returned.
She began counting once again.
"Scarlett, Seraphina, Aisha And yo—"
Before she could finish, Amon suddenly spoke in a perfectly serious tone.
"And Senior Selena herself."
"..."
Selena’s eyes widened.
"W-What?"
She stared at him in complete surprise.
"You’ve become quite bold lately, Amon."
A faint shade of pink appeared on the tips of her ears.
Amon simply smiled innocently, as though he had said nothing unusual.
Professor Adelia looked back and forth between the two of them before letting out another soft laugh.
"Haha... You two would make a funny couple."
