Chapter 505: I Need to Take His First Time.
Amon decided to tell her everything in detail.
He took a deep breath before recounting everything.
He started from the beginning. How he had been teasing Marcus about finding romance. How the conversation somehow spiraled into ridiculous jokes about marriage and harems.
How Marcus had betrayed him by exposing his joke in front of everyone. How Seraphina had unexpectedly held his hand while they walked through the city.
How everyone misunderstood the situation. Even the part where Aisha nearly exploded after he teased her back.
He told Scarlett everything without hiding a single detail. When he finally finished.
Scarlett remained silent.
"...Haah..."
A soft sigh escaped her lips.
"You..."
There was a trace of helplessness in her voice.
"And your habit of teasing people...It always gets you into weird kind of trouble."
Amon smiled sheepishly.
"...Sometimes it gets me into good situations too."
"..."
Another long silence.
Amon couldn’t bear it anymore. "Well... say something."
Scarlett spoke gently.
"Don’t worry. I’m not angry."
Amon blinked.
"...Wait? Really? You aren’t angry?"
"No."
Her answer came surprisingly quickly.
"Why?"
Scarlett answered in the calm, composed manner expected from a noble lady.
"Well... She’s the granddaughter of Alistair Luminous. If she truly falls in love with you someday..."
She paused.
"...I think it would benefit both you... and me."
Amon nearly sat upright on the bed.
"What?!"
His eyes widened.
"Scarlett! What are you saying? And I’m not seducing her! You think I’m that kind of man?"
Her answer came without hesitation.
"You seduced me, Amon."
The room suddenly became quiet.
Amon opened his mouth. Then closed it again.
"...Th-that wasn’t seduction. We..."
He coughed awkwardly.
"...We fell in love after spending months together."
Scarlett gave a soft hum.
"Hmm. And during those months...You constantly flirted with me. You always found excuses to get closer. And you definitely tried to seduce me."
"..."
Amon had absolutely no defense against that.
"...Fine."
He admitted defeat.
"So... what should I do? She’s my good friend. I can’t suddenly start avoiding her."
Scarlett answered calmly.
"Then don’t. Stay the way you are. Treat her as you always have."
She continued after a short pause.
"And if... If she really falls for you someday...We’ll decide what to do then. I’ll come visit you next month anyway."
Amon slowly relaxed.
"Okay...If that’s what you think."
Then he smiled awkwardly.
"But honestly...I don’t think someone like Seraphina would ever fall in love with someone like me."
Scarlett chuckled softly.
"I once believed I could never fall in love with you either. But I still did."
Amon scratched his cheek.
"...Right. You’re also a high-ranking noble."
They continued talking for quite some time.
They talked about ordinary things, about the academy and about missing one another.
Amon had honestly expected Scarlett to become jealous.
Instead she had remained surprisingly calm. That somehow felt even stranger.
Still... A small worry lingered inside him.
’What if... someday... I actually begin developing feelings for Seraphina?’
That thought alone made him uncomfortable.
Eventually Scarlett spoke.
"It’s getting late. You should sleep now. We’ll talk again tomorrow. Also... don’t try to flirt too much." Her voice was cold at the end.
"Okay."
Amon smiled, he knew that she was jealous, and it somehow made him happy.
"But first..."
He grinned mischievously.
"You know what I want."
Scarlett blinked.
"...What?"
"You know exactly what I mean."
"..."
Then came silence. Several seconds passed.
Finally in an incredibly soft voice...
"I..."
She hesitated.
"...I love you."
A warm smile spread across Amon’s face.
"I love you too."
"..."
Before he could say anything else, the communication crystal dimmed.
Scarlett had already ended the call.
Amon laughed quietly.
"...She’s so shy."
He carefully placed the communication crystal back into his storage ring before lying comfortably on the bed once again.
His body finally relaxed. Within only a few minutes.
Sleep claimed him.
---
Far away from where Amon was currently staying. Beyond countless mountains and rivers.
Lay the Noctarion Kingdom.
The Kingdom of Vampires. Within it stood the magnificent city of Sanguis, the capital of the prestigious Bloodhart Duchy.
At the center of the city towered an enormous palace, illuminated beneath the moonlit sky. Inside one of its luxurious chambers.
A beautiful woman stood alone on the balcony.
She was Scarlett Bloodhart.
Her long blood-red hair swayed gently in the cool night breeze. Her crystal-like amethyst eyes quietly gazed toward the bright moon hanging above the kingdom.
Silver moonlight bathed her pale skin, making her already breathtaking beauty appear almost ethereal.
She wore an elegant white nightgown that flowed softly around her graceful figure. Her figure looked mature.
Its smooth fabric hugged her sinful curves that could make any man tempted.
"...Amon."
Her face had small smile and flush cheeks. She slowly turned around before walking back inside her room.
Everything Amon had told her tonight would have made almost any lover jealous and very angry.
And truthfully she had felt jealous.
She was very jealous and angry. But she calmed herself almost immediately.
The biggest reason was because Amon had told her everything honestly.
He hadn’t hidden anything. He hadn’t lied. He hadn’t tried to make excuses after the fact.
Instead he trusted her enough to tell her everything. That honesty meant more to Scarlett than anything else.
She climbed onto her enormous bed before lying comfortably against the soft mattress. Her thoughts naturally drifted back toward him.
’That boy... Amon is really enjoying himself over there.’
She couldn’t help smiling.
More than anything she wanted to go see him.
Right now she wanted to go and meet him.
After all he wasn’t on another continent. He was still on the same continent.
Only in the neighboring kingdom ruled by demons.
Unfortunately she couldn’t simply leave whenever she wished. As the daughter of the Bloodhart Ducal Family, responsibilities constantly surrounded her.
She missed him every single day. Closing her eyes, she made a quiet promise to herself.
’The next time I finally meet him... I’m not leaving so quickly. I’ll stay with him much longer.’
Then another thought surfaced.
’...Although. As ridiculous as Amon’s joke sounded... Marrying Seraphina really would make him a noble.’
She rolled over on the bed before staring thoughtfully at the ceiling.
"Simply becoming a noble still wouldn’t be enough for Father to approve my marriage with a human..."
She spoke softly to herself.
"...But if he became part of the Luminous Family..."
She paused.
"The family of the strongest human alive...The family directly related to Queen Celestia herself. Since Sir Alistair is her blood uncle...Even my family might not oppose it."
She sighed.
"...What am I even thinking? It sounds ridiculous. If not that... Amon need to reach sixth rank before asking my hand in marriage. Even then it will be hard."
Growing up as a noble, Scarlett was already familiar with political marriages. She also knew that polygamy wasn’t uncommon among the vampire nobility.
Nearly in all kingdoms polygamy was accepted.
Compared to the Human Kingdom, it was much more accepted within vampire society. Only the Elven Kingdom strictly prohibited it.
There one person married only one partner for whole life.
It was about absolute loyalty.
Scarlett wasn’t unfamiliar with such customs. She simply hadn’t imagined herself thinking about them.
"...Whatever."
She buried her face into the pillow.
"We’ll see what happens."
Then a mischievous smile slowly spread across her lips. Which was very rare on her usual cold face. She always wore an indifferent expression. But not after talking with Amon.
"But before anything else...I need to meet Amon as soon as possible."
Her amethyst eyes changed into blood red glowing eyes with determination.
"I have to be his first... I need to take his first time."
She covered half of her face with the blanket, her cheeks turning slightly pink.
"...before anyone else can."
To Scarlett nothing else mattered more right now. Everything else could wait.
She gently licked her lips. "...I miss his blood."
---
Meanwhile.
Deep within the royal palace of the Demon Kingdom.
Inside the Queen’s private royal chamber.
Nyxariel Nyctora sat quietly upon a luxurious black couch positioned beside the enormous window overlooking the capital city of Molveth.
She had yet to remove her armor.
The black armor fit perfectly around her tall, curvaceous figure, giving her an imposing yet elegant appearance.
Her long rose-pink hair flowed loosely over her shoulders and down her back like a silken waterfall.
One long leg rested gracefully over the other as she leaned against the sofa, her pink eyes calmly observing the night outside.
The city below glittered beneath countless mana lamps.
Everything appeared peaceful. Yet her thoughts were anything but.
The words Primordial Shard continued echoing inside her mind.
She had searched countless records throughout her long life, yet never expected to hear that name again after all these years.
Just then, the mana in the room suddenly rippled.
Buzz.
The air above the balcony twisted as violet magic circles silently appeared one after another.
Dark mist gathered in the center of the balcony.
Within seconds a human silhouette slowly materialized from thin air.
A woman emerged from the distortion as though she had stepped out of another world.
She wore a long dark-violet robe decorated with silver runes that shimmered faintly whenever mana flowed through them. Upon her head rested a tall, conical witch’s hat whose wide brim cast a shadow over her face.
Long black hair cascaded from beneath the hat, reaching almost to her waist. Only her pale lips and sharp violet eyes were clearly visible beneath the shadow.
The atmosphere around her carried an ancient, mysterious feeling. She slowly lifted her gaze toward the woman sitting inside.
Nyxariel did not move.
She had sensed the witch’s arrival long before the teleportation spell had completed.
The witch stepped into the chamber before placing one hand over her chest and giving a respectful bow.
"Your Majesty."
Her calm voice echoed softly through the chamber.
"You summoned me?"
