Chapter 806: Rest, Rewards & Reconnaissance (part 3)

It took the present supervisors almost a whole minute to be able to come out from their stupor.

"S-Since when does Blue Sky has subordinates, what’s more I don’t remember ever hearing of a supervisor with a purple flag avatar!", said an orange-colored mirror supervisor.

"Forget about that, what the hell did it mean with "leave or die", weren’t we unable to kill each other, at most we can isolate someone by destroying their avatar, right?", asked another supervisor, a blue tree to be more accurate.

The green boulder supervisor who was complaining about the red lightning cloud not assisting the meeting, suddenly had a bad premonition, he turned towards the black shadow to then say with a tinge of urgency.

"Black Shadow, try to contact Red Cloud, tell Wild Carnage to do the same, now!", the black shadow supervisor normally would have lashed out at the green boulder for talking as if he could order him, however he also felt that something was wrong and directly contacted the red silhouette which was apparently known as "Wild Carnage" by the other supervisors.

’Has Red Cloud answered you, I can’t seem to get through to him, the meeting for the next week’s event has started and he didn’t come, what’s more Blue Sky sent a supervisor no one here has seen or heard about before to threaten our lives if we didn’t leave before the day ends’, said the black shadow in a voice only his selected target could hear.

’Huh, it’s just a bluff, you know we can’t kill each other, that fool hasn’t answered me either, perhaps he is being kept in silence because unlike us, Blue Sky did destroy his avatar and then he had his ass kicked by a participant, while we only lost a separated wisp of consciousness with a specific purpose at Blue Sky’s hands, tell me what that new supervisor was like though, I’ll check on my end to see if someone knows him’, answered the red silhouette.

As you can see, supervisors are not able to meet each other so easily, they are separated in groups and black shadow is not in the same as wild carnage, they probably were able to gather here because the blue flaming board was out of the picture, but now without the assistance of the grey tomb, they can at most communicate with each other like this.

’It was a purple flag avatar, the emblem was a black sad face mask, which I thought was a bit weird, avatars are one colored after all but it was not a priority at the time’, though some use different shades for their avatars, either for aesthetics or to represent something in specific, that is still the same color, however the purple flag had a totally different colored part.

’Are you sure that’s the right description, there is someone on my group which says she heard of a black flag with a purple smiling mask emblem, it was something she heard from an acquittance on the southern zone’s groups though’, said wild carnage after a few seconds, to which the black shadow shook his head.

’It can’t be the same guy, moving through groups is still manageable with a lot of effort, but we only managed to slip in from another zone because Blue Sky wasn’t in the picture, that being said, he might be another subordinate of Blue Sky so it’s worth investigating about it, especially because we have no eyes in the south zone, White Mountain might even be involved", he said.

’There is no other option, go visit Red Cloud to see what he is up to, just leave someone else to look after your area, in any case it’s better if you don’t confront Blue Sky for now... there will be a proper time for that later’, concluded the red silhouette.

"Ah, damn it, I have to pay a visit to Red Cloud personally, you guys take care of the preparations for the next event, Green Boulder, I heard your group was not giving you any trouble so look after mine for the time being", said black shadow.

"And what about Blue Sky’s threat?", asked the blue tree from earlier, to which black shadow snorted.

"No matter how strong Blue Sky is, even if it were to be possible for us to die, we are too far apart from each other to die all at the same time, keep your avatars here, if anyone disappears immediately tell the others, it’s not like we thought Blue Sky was going to be out of the picture forever, we naturally have our ways to protect ourselves", he said to then disappear from the meeting.

Countless kilometers away from there, out of a cave that reached incredible depths and had a strange dim light produced by bioluminescent moss covering its walls, the humanoid black shadow avatar which had disappeared from the meeting, formed again, this one looked way more detailed though, and then it started moving at high speed towards the distance, not without saying.

"Making me travel as if I was a mere participant, that bastard better has a good reason to not answer!", he said to himself to then accelerate the pace.

While this night was filled with worries, anxiousness and work for some, others had a well-deserved rest, at the camp of the Myriad Occupation sect, after everyone had eaten to the content of their hearts, very much to Fawn’s surprise since the potential princess couldn’t believe such a large group could have not only such a sumptuous meal, but also such a delicious one after being in this place for only five days, what followed was equally shocking for her.

There was no discussion whatsoever when the ones on night watch duty saw the others do as they pleased with their free time, not to mention that there were actually relaxation activities in place, some girls simply sat down and calmly chatted while enjoying a small desert composed of fruit and a sweet syrup, but there were others who got a bit noisy as they played some kind of game using small wood tokens with dots carved in them, it was the resurge of the dominoes war that Alice and Aria used to partake in every day.

’They have this much free time and energy to enjoy it...’, thought Fawn as she picked a piece of sweetened strawberry to then munch on it, which produced a happy reaction from her taste buds, accompanied by a soft smile as she looked at the trees within the camp, which were purposedly left and were now being temporally used as accommodation for the eagles and other birds under the rule of the giant eagle.

Everyone had fun in their preferred way, well besides a certain wild dragon princess who had to be content with just tender caressing like having her hair and back washed to then cuddle in bed, instead of what she had planned, but even Alice went to sleep with a smile on her face at the end, she even forgot to fight for Aster’s attention with Kana so all in all it was a good night.

The hours passed and soon the "sun" replaced the moon in the sky as night became day, like Aster had said, today was a free day but that didn’t mean they could laze around, free day meant that the group won’t be leaving the camp for anything serious nor will they be instructed by the appointed teachers or work in the many ongoing projects, however everyone still had their daily tasks to fulfill, gathering, fishing, cleaning, cooking and so on.

And as the good girls they were, they didn’t need others to be after them for that, so even without supervision, the ones in watch duty were replaced, the early preparations for breakfast were being taken care of and the camp slowly but surely was waking up.

Speaking of waking up, Aster woke with a strong constriction force being applied to his right side, courtesy of that wild dragon sister of his who was clinging to his body as if her life depended on it, she was half "crushing" Kana who was laying on top of the right side of Aster’s body, of course not to the point of let along hurting but even causing the little girl real discomfort, but those two were clearly wrestling even in their sleep which was amusing.

In contrast, his left side was pure smooth softness, Camila was gently holding onto his left arm while Aria shared being on top of Aster’s body with Kana, let’s not forget the little wyrm who was cutely coiled around both Kana and Aster, he is their hugging pillow, while Sarina was Aster’s pillow not only because she enjoyed the basically full body contact with Aster that came with it, but also because realistically she was the only one here apt for that.

Aria is too thin and would be overwhelmed by everyone’s weight while sleeping, Kana is the same and she would basically disappear since she is shorter than Aster, Alice is too messy to sleep and would wake up everyone during the night, as for Camila who is actually the only one that can be a perfect pillow for Aster, she would die out of embarrassment over that much intimate contact as of current, since Aster was touching Sarina’s whole body, which is also the reason as to why it was possible to convince Lilia to take that position from time to time, rather than just hogging being on top of Aster every night.

’Humph, that’s not fair, having to watch others eat such "delicacies" and be unable to even have a small bite of it, darling today is a free day right, why don’t you enter the mind space, just for a bit~’, said the charming dragon mother.

’It’s only been a few days in the outside world, have some control’, added Rya, though it was obvious that she also wanted some attention, to keep their interference as minimal as possible, they kept Aster from listening to their daily routine within the mind space, because yeah, Lilia spent basically all her time there messing with Rya while watching Aster and the others.

’Ahem, I have basically confirmed that it wouldn’t be noticeable if I entered the mind space, so I’ll pay a short visit today and tomorrow... but that will be all for the time being, we can openly talk and see each other like before now though’, said Aster as he opened the "channel" to see what was going on in the mind space.

’Yeeeei~", just in time to see that charming dragon mother of his, jumping out of happiness on the bed atop of Hyperion, while Rya was having her daily recovery bath.

’You spoil her too much’, mumbled the sword girl, she couldn’t prevent a smile from flourishing on her pretty face though, Aster noticed that at this point almost all of Rya’s hair had turned silver colored while her eyes had almost turned golden colored, it wasn’t only in terms of looks, the aura she radiated was getting closer and closer to Lilia, as in by the end of her change, she’ll be at the same age as the dragon mother.

Aster didn’t take this decision on a whim, due to the time difference between the outside and the mind space, Lilia and Rya had actually not "met" with him for months now, also they have no more enemies to deal with for two whole days, therefore the extra rest he will get from the mind space won’t really affect his performance in this place, so it won’t count as cheating.

There was no logical reasoning to keep the "channel" open at all times from now and onwards though, Aster simply missed those two and wanted to listen and see them, in any case he had earned this much of a "reward" with his performance, it’s just that the one giving it wasn’t the blue flaming board but himself.

With those two making small conversation in the back of his mind, like normally, Aster softly smiled as he started waking up the sleeping beauties, the little wyrm was first as she was the closest, with her head resting only a few centimeters away from Aster’s face.

"Hisss~", feeling the soft caress on her scales, Espi happily hissed as she cutely licked Aster’s cheek a couple of times to then slid away from the group, she didn’t leave the bed though, probably waiting for Kana.

"Good morning, big brother~", the little girl was next, with a soft peck on her forehead, her bright blue eyes opened as she merrily greeted Aster with that seemingly endless energy right from early in the morning, it was amusing to see Kana roll over Alice’s body without any care in the world, to get away from the group hug, the little girl might not like conflict but she is no pushover after all.

While chuckling a bit, Aster continued with that wild dragon sister of his, because if she tightened her hold on him more than as of current, she might rip his sleeping shirt.

"I know I said that you could do as you want in a "free day" but take it easy sis", said Aster as he kissed Alice who mischievously smiled as she opened her eyes.

"Fine, I have something I would like to test with that little snake’s help anyway, so I’ll be good and wait for later~", said Alice as she took the initiative to kiss Aster for a second time, in a quite more lewdly manner by the way, to then turn around and point at the little wyrm who let out a slightly confused hiss in response.

"Hisss?", she pointed at herself with her tail as if she was saying "Me?", in Espi’s memories, the red-eyes sister has never shown any interest in playing with her before after all.

"Let’s see which is stronger my fists or that tail of yours", happily said the wild dragon princess.

"Don’t bully Espi...", just as Kana was placing herself in between Alice and the little wyrm in a "protective" stance, she was also pointed at by the wild dragon princess.

"You can come too, I want to see which packs a stronger punch, that bow of yours or my gauntlets".

"Training is fine but don’t hurt yourselves, use non-lethal arrow heads and Alice, change the protectors of your gauntlets for wide impact", said Aster, to then softly peck Aria’s pretty pale pink lips.

"You are so damn loud, can’t you let others enjoy their morning", said the ice princess to Alice as she opened her eyes to then roll over Aster to get to the right side of the bed, not without giving him a second kiss because how could she allow herself to lose against Alice.

"Humph, you are lucky I have no interest in "fragile" ice princesses, otherwise you’ll end up all bruised up today", mockingly said Alice.

"Huh, you think I’m afraid of you, my rapier techniques can be replicated with a piercing style spear, just try to get close to me, I’ll poke holes all over your body", retorted Aria, though her fighting style leans a lot towards the energy path since she uses ice, thanks to Aster’s training, her pristine body now takes into account physical aspects, which was perfect for this situation.

It hasn’t been noticeable since Aria hasn’t been wounded at all, but even at mortal level Aria has quite a strong card up her sleeves, recovery powers to be more accurate, she could actually heal broken bones or reconnect severed limbs in a matter of seconds, this is because her recovery is not vitality related like Aster’s, Aria’s body tendency is to always be at its pristine state, she can even remain at her prime while not eating, at least until she runs out of the fuel needed for this ability to keep working.

In her case the price is "yin", now, in this place there is no spirit energy, however yin and yang energies aren’t composed of spirit energy only, they are a combination of the later and mental aspects, yin is related to femininity, charm, softness and the list goes on, simply put Aria’s mind and "looks" will pay the price for healing her body here, the ice princess is not superficial but she’ll still rather not rely on this ability unless it’s an emergency, like standing up against that wild dragon princess if she tried to bully her.

"Wuuuh~", a cute sound interrupted those two’s usual bickering, as Aster dragged Camila into his embrace to then give her a much more passionate kiss when compared to the ones Alice and Aria received, well, Alice pretty much had a deep kiss but she was the one who initiated it, unlike this time and that does make a difference for them at least.

"Good girls that don’t argue with each other first thing in the morning, deserve a reward", said Aster as he gently stroked the treasure girl’s pretty hair, Camila’s face was red as an apple but she didn’t run away and instead closed her eyes for a second to enjoy Aster’s caresses, while she was brought into his arms, the kiss was quite gentle so it wasn’t embarrassing but warming, her little maiden’s heart was beating like a drum though.

"So, you were waiting for us to "kill" each other to then claim the prize, well played Camila, I thought you were a wolf, but turns out you are a sly vixen instead~", said Alice while Aria couldn’t help but narrow her eyes for a second, first yesterday and now today.

’Mmm, I don’t know if it was just a clumsy coincidence or if she is innately good at "ambushes", perfect just what I needed, another one to keep an eye on’, thought the ice princess.

Camila was momentarily the major winner, until Alice added.

"I nearly forgot about it in the heat of the moment, but I also need to pay a visit to those two, I bet they’ll be more than happy to take some tasks out of my shoulders and give me some extra energizing potions in exchange for this information~", said the wild dragon princess obviously referring to Eris and Mylene.

"T-That’s not fair!", exclaimed the poor treasure girl as she rushed out of the bed following Alice and the others who were going ahead to the bathroom.

"And now, the star of this mission", said Aster as he turned around, to then caress Sarina’s face as he kissed her.

"Mm~", the blond motherly roc girl softly smiled, she hasn’t been getting as much attention as she should because of all the trouble that this mission in particular ended up presenting to Aster, but that doesn’t mean she hasn’t been having fun.

"Let’s go have a nice picnic in the forest, just the two of us...", just as Aster was planning to have a little outing with Sarina, the blond roc girl went from motherly and gentle to fierce, she escaped from Aster’s embrace and gave him a teasing smile.

"Only if you prepare the food, I’ll go ahead to help prepare breakfast~", she said as she left not without elegantly displaying her beautiful and generous backview to Aster in the process, besides Rya the only one with a figure voluminous enough to compete with Lilia among his lovers is Sarina after all.

’Special cases of rocs who prey on dragons huh... I love it’, amusingly thought Aster at this little new dynamic between himself and Sarina.

"Ugh, preparing lunch all by myself, couldn’t she have asked something easier, like slashing down another supervisor or something", jokingly said Aster, cooking really isn’t his thing, preparing something simple and edible is not a problem, but how could his pride allow him to present a mediocre thing to one of his girls, luckily there is abundance of ingredients now, so he should be able to pull this off.

Ultimately Aster sighed and then got up to then leave the room to give the girls a bit of privacy, he was directly met with the sight of Agnes doing her usual morning exercise routine, it was cute that she chose to do that right next to the gate of Aster’s room every single time.

"Hi... I started early today but how about you join me tomorrow?", asked the sportsy sun diamond princess, in truth she so much wanted to spend some time alone with Aster, but she also knew his free time was "taken" for today, so Agnes instead aimed for tomorrow.

"Sure, don’t start without me tomorrow", said Aster which earned him a smile from the sportsy sun diamond princess, and a little cough from Valentina.

"Ahem, please don’t forget to evaluate Fawn before the next week starts", said the purple lightning princess.

"So, even on free days miss Valentina is quite a responsible one, nowadays at least", jokingly said Aster referring to the small lapses of rebelliousness that Valentina has shown due to the effect of the elixir.

"I have always been like that!", she exclaimed nearly missing her next step and tripping as she hurried to leave with the excuse of supervising the girls of the sect.

’How cute, now that I think about it, I have a little pending discussion with her’, thought Aster as he walked towards the monolith, only to be met with a little "surprise" from the blue flaming board.
