Chapter 660: Chapter 618: Utterly Lowly, Hence Invincible!
"Fuck! No! NO! Kill me! KILL ME!"
As Qin Fan’s relentless Soul Capturing True Essence furiously plundered the memories within his sea of consciousness, Jeremy screamed hysterically. The sensation of thousands of ants gnawing at his brain was an unbearable agony, a pain worse than death itself.
The memory probe, powered by Soul Capturing True Essence, dealt a blow to Jeremy’s soul that was no weaker than the one Norman had suffered. Even Chen Tiansheng had been helpless against this kind of frenzied plundering; how could a being of Jeremy’s age possibly resist?
Amid Jeremy’s blood-curdling screams, the expression on Qin Fan’s stern face grew increasingly severe. Unlike the swirling mists of blood in Norman’s memories, all Qin Fan’s Divine Sense could capture from Jeremy’s mind was an endless expanse of white snow, punctuated by the frantic howls of wolves.
No matter how deeply Qin Fan probed, there was no other substantial information besides the vast, snow-covered landscape and the fierce howls of wolves.
Withdrawing his Divine Sense, Qin Fan furrowed his brow and subconsciously blurted out, "A Werewolf? The legendary Werewolf?"
This flicker of a thought came from his past life’s exposure to novels and films. Vast snowfields, howling wolves... aren’t these the classic signs of a Werewolf?
The thought had barely crossed his mind before he shook his head, dismissing the notion. After all, novels and films have nothing to do with reality. I can’t base my judgment on such fantasized descriptions.
He chose not to end Jeremy’s life. Just as Jeremy was on the brink of death, Qin Fan released his grip, allowing him to cling to what little life he had left.
He exhaled deeply.
Casting a disdainful look upon the two as if they were ants, Qin Fan shook his head and left in silence.
Besides, they would rather endure the agony of having their souls tormented than confess. Trying to get answers out of them was simply too much effort. Moreover, this was still a university campus. If he made these two blood-sucking miscreants disappear without a trace, it could provoke a diplomatic incident. While he couldn’t care less about such things, he didn’t want to bring that kind of trouble to Jinling University.
In any case, he had already implanted a trace of his Divine Sense in their minds. Qin Fan was confident he would get the answers he wanted soon enough.
Unable to believe Qin Fan had simply let them go, the gasping Jeremy and the utterly exhausted Norman exchanged glances in shock as his figure receded toward the Martial Arts Club’s entrance.
"Jeremy, is he a Transformation Realm Grandmaster from Huaxia?" Norman asked, lifting his head with great difficulty and turning slowly toward Jeremy, his voice weak and halting.
"It doesn’t matter if he’s a Grandmaster! We can’t stay at Jinling University any longer! He’s a dire threat to us. My gut tells me he won’t just let us go!" Jeremy gasped, his eyes flashing with a chilling ferocity mingled with panic.
"So we’re just supposed to retreat? Disappear from Jinling University?" Norman asked, his throat tight and his eyes wide.
"I can’t stay. I need to report this to the Leader! As for you... I can’t protect you. I just hope we don’t meet again as enemies!"
Clenching his teeth, Jeremy struggled to his feet and began to drag his utterly exhausted body toward the exit.
At this moment, Jeremy was filled with regret. If he could do it over, he would never have confronted Qin Fan. He had initially thought Qin Fan was just some ignorant fool, arrogant because of his meager Martial Arts Cultivation. He never imagined that this arrogant man actually possessed the power to annihilate them in an instant!
Not only that, but Qin Fan had also grown suspicious of his identity, which made it impossible for him to remain at Jinling University.
What would the consequences be if my identity were exposed? It’s unimaginable!
But ultimately, for him and the power he represented, being discovered in the highly sensitive Royal Territory of Huaxia could spark a disaster at any moment—an incalculable disaster!
But regret was useless. What was done was done, and there were no second chances. The only option left was to flee Jinling University, report back, and find a way to eliminate the threat of Qin Fan. Otherwise, there would be no place for him here, and endless trouble would be waiting for him!
Through his Divine Sense, Qin Fan listened to Jeremy and Norman’s conversation, his brow furrowed in thought.
Things are getting more and more complicated. Drinking blood, Beastly Nature, and Beast Strength... When these elements combine, what kind of beings do they create? What kind of faction are they? It seems my understanding of this mortal world is still far too limited!
Lost in these unresolved thoughts, Qin Fan didn’t dwell on them any longer. A chilling smile touched his lips as he walked back to his dorm.
"Fourth Bro, what happened at the Martial Arts Club? Why didn’t you let us follow you?" As soon as Qin Fan stepped into the dorm, Zhu Houqing shot up from his chair, demanding an answer.
"It’s nothing," Qin Fan replied with a light laugh, shaking his head dismissively.
Seeing Qin Fan’s unwillingness to elaborate, Zhu Houqing and Wang Dalu exchanged a knowing glance and wisely kept quiet.
Before they could ask anything else, Qin Fan changed the subject with a smile. "Where’s Wolf Bro?"
"Big Bro, I’m right here!" The words were barely out of Qin Fan’s mouth when Li Yunzhe scurried out of the bathroom, an obsequious smile plastered on his face.
"Get lost and stop being so shameless," Qin Fan laughed, exasperated, as he playfully pushed the fawning Li Yunzhe away.
"Damn, how can that scumbag be so shameless? He gets worse every day," Zhu Houqing muttered with a look of utter contempt. He couldn’t understand why Fourth Bro put up with him. Whenever Qin Fan was around, that hopeless bootlicker’s sycophantic behavior was on full display. Such shamelessness was nauseating!
"To be shameless is to be invincible! To be a qualified, invincible lackey for Big Bro, I must hone my skills in the art of shamelessness! As long as Big Bro doesn’t mind, that’s all that matters!" Li Yunzhe, long immune to the mockery from Zhu Houqing and Wang Dalu, declared with a sheepish yet shameless grin.
"Alright, enough nonsense," Qin Fan said, slightly annoyed. "Tell me, how much did the stream make?"
"Big Bro, you’ll never guess! Ninety-two thousand! That’s 92,000 after the platform’s cut and taxes! It’s insane! Absolutely insane! I was stunned when I checked the dashboard just now!" At the mention of their earnings, Li Yunzhe immediately started hollering with excitement.
A single one-hour stream had netted them 92,000. That was more than many popular celebrities make, a complete victory! He was self-aware enough to know why, though. The stream’s incredible success was because it had been widely shared, and the people groveling for mercy in the video belonged to ethnicities that most Huaxians despised. Riding on this wave of public sentiment, the call to action they raised was simply unstoppable.
If only Qin Fan hadn’t stopped them from broadcasting the final confrontation at the Martial Arts Club. Otherwise, they could have easily made 150,000, maybe even 200,000.
