Chapter 591: Chapter 578: Bear My Rage!
"ROAR!"
Golden light burst forth as Qin Fan threw his head back and roared at the heavens.
In the next second, the sky-shattering roar roiled the very heavens and earth, stirring up a tempest!
「Inside the old cinema」
Chang Yuanyi had completely lost his own consciousness, utterly submerged in a drug-induced state. When he heard the massive roar, his body, which had been poised to lunge forward, suddenly froze. What little remained of his disintegrating awareness was violently jolted.
CRACK!
At the same time, plaster rained down from the cinema’s ceiling, and the old seats began to tremble violently.
Qin Fan held nothing back, fully unleashing the might of his Golden Core in that single roar.
BOOM!
Outside, thunder suddenly cracked across the sky. Without any warning, a torrential downpour began to fall from the once-clear night sky.
It all happened in the blink of an eye.
As the roar faded, Qin Fan’s figure shot forward, ignoring the walls obstructing his path. With his Prison Suppressing Body activating on its own, he defied the laws of nature and charged straight through the concrete!
BANG! BANG! BANG!
In an instant, leaving only an afterimage in his wake, he created a massive, human-shaped crater in the wall. Unscathed, Qin Fan burst into the cinema.
He stormed in but didn’t immediately confront Chen Tiansheng. Instead, he scooped up Jiang Yino, who was lying on the ground, clutching at her clothes. He then extended his palm and delivered a forceful strike to Chang Yuanyi’s chest.
BOOM!
Struck by Qin Fan’s palm, Chang Yuanyi was sent flying backward in an arc, smashing violently against the wall.
He spat out a mouthful of blood and slumped to the floor. Although he couldn’t stop the bleeding, his mind had cleared completely. His body’s physiological reaction, however, could not be suppressed. It was the effect of the drug, and without an antidote, how could he possibly be free of its power?
"Master Qin, I’m sorry! I’m sorry! I’m sorry!" Chang Yuanyi cried, his words muffled by the blood in his mouth as tears streamed down his face. He hadn’t even touched Jiang Yino’s clothes—in fact, he had remained several meters away from her. Still, he couldn’t help but weep with guilt. Even though Chen Tiansheng had forced the drug on him, he couldn’t shake the crushing sense of culpability.
"Enough nonsense! Eat this now!" Qin Fan snapped. He retrieved two Elixirs from his storage space, pushing one into Jiang Yino’s mouth and tossing the other to Chang Yuanyi.
He paid Chang Yuanyi no more mind and didn’t spare Chen Tiansheng a single glance. Holding Jiang Yino close, a mist began to form in his eyes.
Yino, in my previous life, I was powerless. I owed you a debt so vast it could never be repaid, even over lifetimes. Yet in this life, I returned with the power of rebirth only to let you fall into such peril again!
"I deserve to die... I truly deserve to die," Qin Fan choked out, watching as beads of sweat began to form on Jiang Yino’s skin. Tears he could no longer hold back streamed from his eyes, dripping onto her cheeks.
At that moment, Jiang Yino, still sweating profusely, slowly shed two streams of hot tears from her closed eyes.
Sniffling, Qin Fan acted as if he hadn’t seen the tears streaking from the corners of Jiang Yino’s eyes. He choked up again, his voice thick with emotion. "Yino, forgive me! Forgive my carelessness... forgive me!"
At the sound of Qin Fan’s choked sobs, Jiang Yino’s tears, which had briefly stopped, began to flow once more. But her phoenix eyes, veiled by long lashes, remained shut.
"Yino, rest for a while! I’ve said it before, you are my one untouchable weakness! Touch it, and they die. They *must* die!" Qin Fan’s voice grew louder as he finished, clenching his jaw as he spat out the last two words with terrifying emphasis.
He knew Jiang Yino had regained consciousness, but he gave her no chance to respond. He was afraid she would try to stop him, and in this matter, he could not be stopped. If Chen Tiansheng didn’t die, Qin Fan felt he would not only have failed Jiang Yino, but he would have failed his own humanity.
The moment the words left his lips, he gently pressed a point on the back of Jiang Yino’s neck. Just as she was about to open her eyes, her head lolled to the side, and she instantly fell into a deep sleep.
He gently laid Jiang Yino down on a nearby row of seats, then slowly turned around.
Fueled by hatred and rage, the Golden Core energy throughout his body was no longer held in check. A towering, Supreme intent burst forth.
His face was a mask of ice, completely expressionless. He tilted his head back slightly to look up at Chen Tiansheng on the upper level. "Not going to run?" he asked, his voice devoid of all emotion.
"There’s nowhere to run! So why bother?" Chen Tiansheng replied, his face pale and his throat tight.
Even now, he couldn’t figure out how Qin Fan had found him. This place was dozens of kilometers from the city center. Even his own boss would have struggled to sense an aura from that distance. How could Qin Fan have arrived so quickly? As these thoughts raced through his mind, a long-forgotten fear began to well up inside him.
He hadn’t run for two reasons. First, he knew he couldn’t escape. Second, he hoped he could find an opportunity during the fight to capture Jiang Yino and use her as a hostage. He was certain that if he got his hands on her again, Qin Fan wouldn’t dare to touch him, no matter how furious he was.
But he was wrong. How could a mere practitioner of worldly Martial Arts possibly dream of finding such an opportunity in front of a Golden Core Cultivator? It was a complete delusion.
"Very well," Qin Fan said, his eyes downcast and his expression rigid. "Then you will bear the full force of my wrath."
As his words fell, he rose onto the balls of his feet. In less than the span of a single breath, he vanished, reappearing on the upper level directly in front of Chen Tiansheng.
"How is that possible?!"
By the time Chen Tiansheng’s mind registered Qin Fan’s movement, his opponent’s figure was already reflected in his widening eyes.
"Today, I will beat you to death to appease my rage and avenge the grievance done to Yino!" Qin Fan declared coldly, his voice cutting through Chen Tiansheng’s horrified cry as he tried to dodge.
As he spoke, he swung his arm back. The limb, not particularly thick, whipped around in a one-hundred-and-eighty-degree arc. Trailing an afterimage, it slammed directly into Chen Tiansheng’s back as he tried to evade.
BOOM!
A muffled impact, like the beat of a giant drum, resounded through the air. Chen Tiansheng was sent stumbling forward from the force of the blow.
Qin Fan’s expression remained unchanged as he burst forward, instantly reappearing directly in front of him.
He curled his fingers into a fist, imbued with the power of Inch Force. His face was as cold and emotionless as a Hell Rakshasa as he hammered his fist into Chen Tiansheng’s abdomen, moving far too fast for him to defend.
Inch Force—the Ninth Layer! Each inch of the attack penetrated deep into the body. Each pulse of force inflicted devastating harm.
THUD!
THUD-THUD!
THUD-THUD-THUD!
Nine muffled, drum-like impacts hammered into Chen Tiansheng’s abdomen in rapid succession.
In that moment, Chen Tiansheng’s features twisted into a hideous grimace. His face, completely drained of blood, was a mask of pure terror.
He wasn’t terrified of the strength Qin Fan was displaying. His boss had already warned him that even several of him would be no match for Qin Fan. He was under no illusions about that. But this speed... was this on the same level as his boss?
Damn it, how is that possible?! How?!
The thoughts flashed through his mind in an instant, but before he could dwell on them, the final layer of force arrived.
Chen Tiansheng’s entire body curled up like a cooked shrimp as he was sent flying backward, smashing into the wall.
