For such a young age, she was rather clever in her own right. She seemed to me like one that could handle herself in any form of danger. But it was better to be safe than sorry.
The little spit fire brought so much enthusiasm and entertainment to my cold and deadened heart without realizing. I’ve just barely a week with her, and somehow, somehow she had me wrapped around her finger. With her, my anger was nothing but embers, I felt my reputation (for I was known to be cruel and show no mercy) now soiled.
"If you are going to keep staring from the shadows at least, hide your scent." Aurora’s voice pulled me out from my thoughts.
"It’s good to see you are slowly getting accustomed to your other being." I commented as I strolled inside the room.
She scoffed and muttered a curse under her breath.
I move closer to where she was close enough to observe and far enough to not be caught unaware by whatever tricks she had up her sleeves.
"Did you get good rest?"
"You probably rephrase that question without the good in it."
"I’m guessing the answer would still be a no, Yeah."
Aurora snickered as a response.
"I asked Hades about Rohella once," Aurora started. "He seemed oblivious to who she was. But thinking about it now, he might just be acting up. I’m pretty sure he would never get to meet with me if not her, so at the same time I think he does know her. Since I can’t get an answer for myself, I’d like you to tell me. Does he know about her?"
"Still thinking granting him an audience was a bad idea? That question would have probably been answered by Hades himself. Besides, it’s hard not to know of the curse he bestowed on himself."
My last comment must have caught her attention, given the manner she turned to me with interest.
"A curse?"
"Yes a curse. I want to show you something come with me." I turned and started heading for the room exit when I recalled i had place a cuff on her feet to restrain her, so she can’t come with me. I turned to take them off just to see her right behind me, the cuffs not far behind.
My gaze went from the cuffs to Aurora and back to the cuff. She seemed to have realized what the fuss was about. She turned to the where she had ripped them off. Her lips formed an ’O’ shape.
"Oh those, Well you did ask me to come with you. Had to take them off since you didn’t."

I resisted the temptation to ask her how she had gone about removing them when I remembered she was Aurora after all, so the details didn’t matter. Although, it bothered me that she had it in it to get rid of it but had acted like she couldn’t. Is she pretending to be weak? Why was she acting in accordance with what I will? What is her motive?
Giving her one more glance, I turned and started to lead the way to the destination I had in mind. We walked in silence for what felt like hours before we finally got there.
I chanted some words in my language and I started to grow back taller and bigger. When I was satisfied with my height, I looked down at Aurora to see her eyes were already fixated on me. I bent low and gave her my palm for her to climb in, after she hopped on it, I placed her on my shoulders.
"Why am I on your shoulders this time around?"
"I need you close." Came my honest response.
She chuckled. Her laugh unlike anything else I had ever heard before. Her pooling oceanic eyes were hypnotizing. Her eyes reminded me of the small planets that dotted the sky at night, or of the glow of the sun when evening cast it onto the horizon.
The only color I had ever thought to be beautiful was the burning red of hell walls. Looking into her eyes now, I love the color Blue. It was mesmerizing. Hades did pick the perfect color for me to distinguish me from the rest of his minions to show forth I was in charge.
"Obsessed much?"
I looked away. My face dreaded with indignant embarrassment.
"Obsessed? Surely you jest, Aurora."
"Why do you turn into a giant whenever we you want to cross a door? Is it because the doors are huge? Why not make the doors my size?"
"This is my nature. I am making an exception because you are peculiar."
Aurora gasp holding my shirt dramatically while her other hand on her forehead.
"What was that you said about not being obsessed again?"
I bit down the urge to laugh, instead I proceed inside the room. It was filled with books, tales of old and new. Telling her a story wouldn’t be remarkable except she sees images that would aid relive the moment.
I move past the tall aisle. Some inches taller than my current height. I wonder what she thought of the bookshelves. As if reading my thoughts, Aurora dropped a comment.
"Tinkerbell had it better. At least she had wings to get past mountains, tall buildings and whatnot."
"Who’s Tinkerbell?"
"A character- she’s a fairy."
Tinkerbell? Fairy? Surley she meant pixies.
"Never heard of a Tinkerbell."
"Neither heard a tale of hell with books." She fired back.
"Well now you’ve seen one. So you best tell a tale."
"Everyone would call it bluff. What’s fire doing with papers? I’m sure they would ask, what do I tell them then? Wait- You were going to say something about the curse?"
"We are heading over to the shelf."
"You want to read it to me? At least brief me what it is all about as we proceed to the right shelf."
"The Curse-" I mumbled stopping at one of the shelf that wrote the words on the wooden plate. "When the curse was foretold, it was a promise. To earth to the gods and every living creature he created. He gave out his Touch for that promise to hold. But it had pros and cons nobody had thought of."
"What was the promise he made."
"
