Chapter 2197: Chapter 2190: Liu Li Returns
"Yeah, this thing is damn terrifying, it can reach adulthood in just a few months."
"According to our research, using newborn babies for experiments works best, we might even be able to cultivate an Eighth Generation Genetic Warrior."
The two guys in white coats were taking notes while they discussed.
Wang Dadong got the gist of it—turns out all the things in those jars were Gene Warriors.
The so‑called Gene Warrior was a monster created by splicing the genes of the most vicious Tibetan Mastiff into human genes.
Immeasurably strong, insanely fast, claws sharp as hell!
No wonder they had dog heads and human bodies—it was because they’d added Tibetan Mastiff genes into human DNA.
Right now the strongest Gene Warrior was the Seventh Generation Genetic Warrior; rumor had it they could grow up to three meters tall, their skin could stop bullets, and their claws could tear through iron plates!
Now they were developing the Eighth Generation Genetic Warrior, using babies with high potential for experiments. Once successful, a single Eighth Generation Genetic Warrior could take on a tank all by itself!
He hadn’t expected the Plunderers’ base to be set up right inside a pharmaceutical company.
"These bastards are actually using people for genetic experiments, heaven ought to strike them with lightning." Rage surged in Wang Dadong’s heart; he planned to wipe out these two inhuman white coats.
But Liu Li actually moved before he did and knocked the two of them out cold on the floor.
Liu Li picked up the notebook on the ground, glanced at it twice, then stuffed it straight down the cleavage at her chest.
Wang Dadong’s face twitched. Having big boobs really did come with a lot of perks...
"My god, they’re secretly researching this kind of thing, it’s too inhuman." When she saw the contents of the notebook, Liu Li’s brows knit tightly as well.
Suddenly, the sound of a baby crying came from somewhere.
Liu Li’s expression changed; she hurriedly ran toward the source of the sound.
In a spacious room, there were countless baby cribs, and every crib had a baby in it. At a rough glance, there were at least twenty or thirty. It looked like Jitai Group wasn’t just stealing babies from Jiangdu Private Aristocratic Hospital—probably a lot of hospitals had been hit. It was just that the news had been locked down so tightly the outside world still didn’t know.
Two guys in white coats were holding a baby, a syringe filled with red liquid in their hands.
"What are you doing, stop right now!" Liu Li’s sharp shout rang out.
"How did you get in here?" The two researchers saw Liu Li but didn’t panic; instead they stared at her coldly.
Liu Li looked at the crib next to them—a baby was wailing loudly, its whole body red like fire; it had already been injected with the Gene Potion. She immediately flew into a rage. "You’re actually doing this kind of thing, I’ll kill you."
The two researchers exchanged a glance and sneered wickedly. "This chick’s pretty hot. We’ll have some fun with her first, and once we’re done, we’ll turn her into a Gene Warrior."
"You’re courting death!"
Liu Li lunged at the two of them, but before she could reach them, something huge suddenly dropped from above, blocking her path.
It was a two‑meter‑tall monster with a human torso and a dog’s head, its razor‑sharp claws like a tiger’s, slobber dripping from its mouth with wet, smacking sounds.
"Let the Sixth Generation Genetic Warrior keep you company for a bit." The two researchers grinned evilly and ignored Liu Li, turning back to inject the Gene Potion into the baby.
Whoosh whoosh!
Two Golden Needles shot from Liu Li’s hand, and with two wet pops, they pierced into the wrists of the two researchers, stabbing straight through.
Wounded by the Golden Needles, the two instantly flew into a rage and roared, "Rip her to pieces!"
"Don’t rip her apart, that pretty face can’t go to waste. Just bite off her four limbs for me; leave the body so we can have some fun with it later."
Wang Dadong slipped in quietly, but he didn’t go to help Liu Li. Instead, he went to check the babies in the cribs first. After checking a few, his heart turned to ash—every one of these babies had already been injected with the Gene Potion.
The Gene Potion wasn’t like other poisons. Once it entered the body, it fused directly with human genes, then caused mutations, birthing new genes. That being the case, not even someone like Wang Dadong could save these babies.
Wang Dadong quickly checked all of them and found that almost every baby had been injected with the Gene Potion; only the two babies by the window hadn’t been injected yet.
Wang Dadong couldn’t worry about anything else. Saving one was one; this damned Plunderer organization—he was definitely going to wipe them out.
On the other side, Liu Li had already clashed with the Sixth Generation Genetic Warrior. But the Gene Warrior’s strength was monstrous, its claws unimaginably sharp—one casual swipe gouged a deep claw mark into the concrete floor. If that landed on a person, they’d be torn clean in half!
As if its brute strength weren’t enough, the Gene Warrior was insanely fast too, just like a ferocious Tibetan Mastiff, driving Liu Li to the brink of death.
You had to know Liu Li had once been an expert of Huanyin Pavilion; her skills were incredible—taking down thirty or fifty burly men bare‑handed was nothing to her. Yet she couldn’t handle a single Gene Warrior. And this was only a Sixth Generation Genetic Warrior—who knew how savage the Seventh Generation Genetic Warrior would be.
"Hahaha, the little chick’s got some moves, but once you run into a Gene Warrior, you’re doomed either way." The two researchers burst into loud laughter.
Liu Li rolled on the spot, dodging a frontal swipe from the Gene Warrior, and no one knew where she produced two Golden Needles from, which she then fired out.
Clang clang!
The Golden Needles hit the Gene Warrior’s body with two crisp sounds, then fell straight to the floor, not even able to pierce its skin.
With that kind of Defense, even a weaker handgun probably wouldn’t be able to punch through.
Splurt!
A spray of blood burst from Liu Li’s arm.
Because she’d thrown the Flying Needles, she was half a beat slower and was immediately struck by the Gene Warrior. Fortunately, her reaction was lightning fast; otherwise her arm would have been broken.
"Hahaha, little chick, stop struggling. Surrender nicely and we’ll leave you a whole corpse, otherwise once we’re done having our fun, we’ll let the Gene Warrior enjoy you too."
As if it understood what the two researchers meant, the Gene Warrior let out a roar, eyes blood‑red as it pounced at Liu Li.
Although the Gene Warrior had already lost its consciousness, the most primal instincts of man and beast were still there.
Liu Li went all in. She slammed her palm against the ground, launching her body up, her right leg whipping out like a long lash, smashing viciously toward the Gene Warrior’s head.
Bang bang bang!
Liu Li’s two legs were like springs, kicking the Gene Warrior’s head over and over, forcing its upper body to sway back repeatedly.
But Liu Li clearly underestimated how terrifying the Gene Warrior was. More than a dozen kicks didn’t do a damn thing to it; instead, on her last kick, the Gene Warrior suddenly grabbed her ankle.
The Gene Warrior treated Liu Li like a leather whip, swinging her up and slamming her toward the floor.
There was a dull thud!
Even though Liu Li used both hands to dissipate a lot of the impact, she was still smashed so hard her head spun and she could barely move.
The Gene Warrior roared, pinning Liu Li to the floor with both claws.
