As predicted, the Heavenly Demon took the Harvesters and began conducting experiments.
He pushed them into different locations and communicated different things to each one. However, the sentences were very strange.
Why make so many metaphors if you’re going to explain? Why not do it clearly?
The faded man yelled from the depths of memory, cursing and shouting, not knowing how to properly recite the incantation.
I understand it from the memories, but who educates like that?
If you’re going to teach, at least do it properly.
The Harvesters, after hearing this, uncomfortably sat down and moved what seemed like energy from their bodies. There’s a large difference compared to how Eunjae did it.
Since I remember how Eunjae did it, surely, I can figure this out, right?
Anyway, the Heavenly Demon taught each of the three different martial arts.
Shouldn’t the same martial art be taught for an experiment? Doesn’t the Heavenly Demon know how to control variables?
I have those questions, but since I’m just observing the experiment, there’s nothing I can do but watch.
Gapjae and Eunchun—these two learned swordsmanship from the Heavenly Demon. Byeongil, on the other hand, was taught a technique called Bojeop (footwork).
They were all excited as they learned their techniques.
From their excitement at getting stronger, they seem to be very pure at heart.
They were soon amazed at how quickly they were learning.
When I compare their memories, I don’t see much difference, but they’re very impressed, speaking to themselves in awe, saying things like, “The phrases are automatically interpreted” and “I can understand this so easily.”
There’s even Byeongil, who is hopping around, saying how light his body feels.
But neither of them uses the method that Eunjae employed. Instead, they simply draw energy from outside their bodies, optimize it within themselves, store it in their abdomen, and then use it.
At first, Eunjae also used the energy from his abdomen, and sometimes he’d pull energy from his head. Over time, however, he stopped using the energy from his abdomen and only drew from his head.
This is because the energy from the abdomen is quickly depleted and takes a long time to recharge, but the energy from the head doesn’t deplete.
There’s talk of having three dantian (energy centers), with the energy circulating through the body, but honestly, I don’t understand what that means.
Why make it so complicated?
It would be easier and faster to just draw the energy from the head and get stronger, right?
Eunjae did it that way too.
So, I slowly started pushing the method Eunjae used into the minds of the three Harvesters. Fortunately, this doesn’t require a lot of power compared to summoning magic.
I can also control how much they can absorb.
If they’re strong-willed, they wouldn’t be able to hear me, but I think these three will be able to hear me.
It’s been a month since I slowly pushed Eunjae’s method into their minds.
Finally, as I saw them smile in delight after a chunk of glowing purple light shot out of their swords, I realized they were succeeding.
But then, Gapjae suddenly started acting strangely.
He hid his power. Even though he learned how to draw energy from his head and had used it, he hadn’t used it even once since.
What is he trying to do?
Doesn’t power get stronger if you draw from above?
He’s lived up until now to achieve that, so why isn’t he using the power he has?
I watch Eunchun.
He immediately brags to the Heavenly Demon, claiming that this energy is his power and that he could become the leader, not just a Law Keeper.
The Heavenly Demon looks at him with a disdainful expression, but there’s also a hint of surprise.
Byeongil started attacking using his Bojeop. I worry that his joints might start breaking, but when he walks, the energy waves he creates spread out.
It’s interesting, but I wonder if it wouldn’t be better to just make one more slash with the sword.
But that’s not the important part.
The important thing is that all three of them started drawing their power from their heads, just like I showed Eunjae.
I closely observed them drawing from their heads, and through the connection with me, they’re drawing power from me.
The Harvesters are all connected to me. But when someone enters their body, I rise from the ground.
If only a part of me enters someone’s body, the world falls apart. But if my entire being is within a body, the world doesn’t collapse.
I don’t understand this. Even now, the line connecting me doesn’t go downward but stays connected through this body.
But when I use my power, the world begins to break, like a heavy stone crashing onto a glass plate.
The laws of the world are still vague.
Logically, shouldn’t the world shatter immediately if I’m contained?
Or does it mean that if I’m inside someone’s body, I can cover the world as a Harvester and it will be fine?
I don’t know. If I go down to the ground, will another monster appear?
As time passes, I find that more things remain unknown than are resolved.
Still, I’ll do my best to solve the questions, one by one.
That’s how I can gain warmth.
Let’s rewind the story.
The Heavenly Demon looked at the three of them, confirming their abilities. Then, he gathered the people from the Heavenly Demon Church.
They set up a massive arena and started a tournament. From what I hear through the three’s ears, it’s a traditional event from the Heavenly Demon Church.
In this event, people fight each other. The winner rises in rank. The Heavenly Demon Church shouts that the strong dominate, claiming that power is the most important thing.
Of course, power is important, but if that’s the case, one always has to watch their back. I don’t think humans can endure that stress for long.
So, those who gain power revise the laws.
To make exploitation easier.
And when a stronger person appears, they can kill them with the strength of numbers.
Especially in a religious group, they’ll do it even more, right?
I don’t understand the structure of the Heavenly Demon Church. But whether I understand it or not, this society operates this way. I make a note of the question in the back of my mind and continue to observe reality.
The Heavenly Demon proceeded with the event and introduced the three as his disciples, the ones he had taught personally.
That wasn’t a lie.
As soon as he said that, the gazes of the people around shifted. But the three stood proudly in place.
And with the Heavenly Demon’s declaration, the event began.
People made match-ups and fought each other.
The match-ups were structured so that lower-ranked people fought their way up.
Ah, there’s a device to this.
When people fight, they get exhausted. But if they fight often, the more they reach the top, the more benefits they get. That’s because they face weak opponents who are already worn out.
With good luck, they might get a significant injury.

It’s easy to win by fighting.
And, as expected, the ranking matches were similar.
There was fierce fighting among those of similar abilities. But here, the people directly above and below each other don’t fight. Instead, they battle those who have been fighting for a long time at the very bottom.
Climbing up is incredibly difficult.
As expected, there’s a rigid structure like a ladder. This is how humans are!
But with enough strength, you can pass over it.
Gapjae hides his power, but Eunchun and Byeongil reveal theirs.
Their momentum doesn’t stop.
The more they fight, the more accustomed they get to the fighting techniques. When they see exhausted people around them, it’s not stamina that gets depleted, but rather their energy, causing them to collapse.
But they don’t have to worry about that. They’re receiving infinite energy from their heads.
I’m supplying it.
But isn’t it strange that if they use it like water, there should be some feeling of depletion or the energy running out? There’s no such feeling, which is a bit odd.
Am I that strong?
If it’s heavy, maybe, but if you ask me whether I’m strong, I don’t really know.
Of course, if I crush something with this weight, the glass bottle would shatter.
But that’s meaningless. After feeling that heat, the terrible cold will take all the warmth away again.
If I could hold onto that heat forever, I would do my best to shatter the glass bottle as soon as I arrived in another world.
But the sharp drop from the pleasant heat to the cold would drive me insane.
It’s better to gradually receive warmth.
The world is so vast, so I’ll harvest warmth while maintaining a certain balance without covering the entire world.
If I strike the infinite world, I’ll gain infinite warmth.
Cold, but warmth will exist.
Hehe.
For that future, I’ll work hard.
Gapjae, who seemed to be after something, was eliminated early. From what I heard, he received some congratulatory remarks mixed with envy, rising several ranks higher than his original position. But that soon disappeared. Instead, many people pity him.
That’s because Eunchun and Byeongil have become strong enough to challenge the head of the group.
Eunchun even mocked him, saying that after receiving training from the Heavenly Demon, he could do no better. But Gapjae is thinking about something else.
He’s planning to increase his power further. One might think he’s like someone called “Tisah,” but he’s not that type.
Rather, he’s sly and greedy.
What he plans to do, I’ll have to keep watching. I can predict it from his memories, but I don’t know yet.
Meanwhile, Eunchun and Byeongil kept advancing.
Both of them defeated the head of the group they first encountered.
But Byeongil reached his limit there. After winning, he collapsed.
Eunchun won once more.
But even so, Eunchun’s expression wasn’t good. He was glaring at Byeongil, who had collapsed.
The technique Byeongil used at the end was called Cheonma Gunrimbo. This technique is said to be one that even the current Heavenly Demon, let alone the previous Heavenly Demon, could not use.
It was a legendary martial art that was revived in real combat?
I’m not sure how he knows this so well.
Byeongil attracted more attention than Eunchun or Gapjae.
Both Gapjae and Eunchun didn’t have time to observe the Heavenly Demon, so it’s a pity we don’t know what he’s thinking.
But I’m sure of one thing.
The Heavenly Demon will lift my seal.
Because they’ve all demonstrated enough power.
Of course, whether I’ll teach the next Harvester the method Eunjae used is up to me.
Hehe.
Now, I have a tool to control them.
Let’s see if we can move the Heavenly Demon Church with this.
Three days passed.
In that time, Eunchun and Byeongil each took the places of the heads they defeated. And to celebrate the end of the event, a feast was held.
When the feast was over and everyone was about to return to their normal lives...
Shhrrr...
“Come out.”
The cloth binding me loosened. And through the gap, a cross-dressing man with a strong jawline and thick muscles looked up at me.
See?
I was right, wasn’t I?
