The Royal Academy is royal.

This means that it is a place the country has invested heavily in.

There’s even a mail service within the school building. However, it’s not in the dormitory but in the building where classes are held, so we had to go there.

At first, I thought it was strange, but after going through my memories, I realized that the school needs to send news about students to many parents.

The volume of mail is bound to be high. It’s actually strange that there isn’t a post office within the school building.

So, I went with Victoria to the main building, where the post office is located.

The first floor there.

If you go to the left, you’ll find the usual classrooms, and if you go to the right, you’ll find the administrative office.

Inside that is the post office. There’s a dedicated counter that functions exactly like a post office. This is information Victoria doesn’t know, and it’s not easy to figure out, but luckily, Kanna knew about it.

So, when we arrived in front of the administrative office, but Victoria hesitated to enter, I tapped her back.

Why is she so nervous over this? Where did the Victoria who slaughtered the demon go?

I grabbed her hand and pulled her inside, heading straight for the place where I could send the letter.

Afterward, I called Victoria and asked her to write the home address.

While looking at the address, I noticed her mistake and grabbed her hand. After reminding her that she had forgotten her parents had moved, I wrote down the address that was on the envelope she received.

Then, I handed the letter to the clerk, who looked like someone who hadn’t slept for days, and we left.

"Will the letter get there properly?"

"If nothing unusual happens, it should."

I’d seen their faces often through the Harvesters before. Given the location, they live in an area far from the city center of Vern City.

Right now, most of the Harvesters in Vern City are holed up in the city center. Only a very small number of them have completely left Vern City, moving to nearby cities.

Perhaps the Bet family also left Vern City and went outside.

Since Morris and Beatrice aren’t Harvesters, I can’t know for sure, but at least I’ve never seen them among the people resisting in the city center.

I can remember the faces of all the people resisting inside through the Harvesters.

So, I believe the letter will most likely reach Victoria’s family.

I hinted to the king that something special was happening in Vern City or created a situation where Victoria would contact her parents.

I’ve done everything I can. Now, I calmly begin to organize the current situation.

Currently, warmth is coming in sporadically.

The groups sending warmth are divided into three major ones.

One is the Harvesters in Vern City. Most of them belong to the Purple Twilight Association and are trying to start a rebellion, similar to the Yellow Turban Rebellion. They expect to cause numerous casualties.

Another is the Harvesters from the Brightshin slums. Many of them have died more than expected.

Where do the empowered poor work? The answer is physical labor.

They’re employed in basic tasks like delivering goods or carrying heavy things, and most of this work is done outside buildings, not inside them.

And outside, the black thorn bushes have wildly spread.

Inside the buildings, people were pierced by creeping thorns, collapsing, but most people outside were hit by the black thorns as they rushed down the road.

Those who were in the middle of the road and died instantly were the lucky ones. Most people had body parts torn off by the thorns and bled out in pain before eventually falling unconscious.

Then, they died slowly.

Those who could have survived with their wounds treated were unable to stop the bleeding once they lost consciousness. Plus, even while unconscious, the thorns that burrowed into the fallen victims likely killed them.

By the way, Maleficent didn’t care about those who died like this. She simply cursed them all to sleep, planning to use them as hostages to humiliate the royal family.

After being beaten dozens of times by the Harvesters, she thought she’d cry and apologize, but then turn into a dragon and breathe fire to burn the capital.

The Harvesters who fought her... There weren’t many people with psychic abilities in the capital, so even if they all died, it wouldn’t be much of a loss. I don’t mind that part.

But overall, it’s a bit regrettable that so many Harvesters died.

Still, it’s not all bad.

It’s still a time just after hardship, and many laborers will be needed to repair the damaged city, so for the surviving Harvesters in the capital, it will be a good time.

So, as life blooms, the descendants of the Harvesters will likely increase.

Heh heh.

Lastly, the Harvesters from the other world. These ones are using their newly acquired powers to overcome the reality they’re in.

They don’t produce much warmth because their civilization is considered primitive, nor do they produce little warmth just because their civilization is advanced.

Instead, they give warmth based on how each individual acts.

The production of warmth is a bit shaky, but it’s still being provided like the dividends of a stable stock.

From my perspective, at least, things are going well. I don’t expect to gain everything in the first try.

I can be patient.

Right now, I’m worrying about something else.

When I gave the knowledge of Daegon and the Primordial Heavenly Sovereign, I wonder which one would better help develop the world.

Just because I give knowledge doesn’t mean everyone gains it, and no one who gets it immediately ✪ Nоvеlіgһt ✪ (Official version) uses it.

So, I need a lot of test subjects to see how the knowledge works.

Like the priests from an old game, I’ll probably keep going to places where people are hurt and create Harvesters.

There are still many people who can become Harvesters.

"Ha, it’s really a scary world."

Since I don’t usually talk much, by the time I walked the entire way to the main gate, Victoria muttered this to herself and broke her silence.

Is that so? Maybe.

"Let’s go get some fresh air outside."

"Let’s do that."

I nodded at Victoria’s words. She doesn’t resist being alone or sitting still, but it seems like the current situation is frustrating for her.

Is it normal for her to worry because she doesn’t know what happened to her parents?

Most of the memories say no, so maybe it’s not quite normal. In that case, let’s say Victoria was raised with proper love.

Victoria, now trying to relieve her anxiety about her newly found parents, wants to go outside.

When I said I’d go with her, Victoria smiled brightly, clinging to my side, and immediately led me out the front gate.

But not long after going out, Victoria stopped thinking she’d be able to play.

Because the place where the witch had scratched still remains.

There are deep scars left on the roads and buildings, and in some places, there are still bloodstains that haven’t been erased.

The city didn’t feel bright; it had a gloomy atmosphere, and the people walking the streets and the abandoned debris showed that the recent events were a harsh reality.

"I want to go back."

Eventually, Victoria said this and turned around with a gloomy step.

Back at the dormitory, Victoria told me she was going to rest since she was tired, and I was sent out.

I know she’s alone in her room, feeling down, but sometimes, there are days like that.

I left her and returned to my lodging.

The next day.

It’s still the middle of the week, but this week, the Royal Academy is on holiday.

So, to make the most of my free time, I left my lodging early in the morning. This wasn’t to make a new Harvester, as usual.

I’m not heading toward the Brightshin slums either. Brightshin itself has become a rundown and decayed area, now a slum located near the city center of the capital.

However, the place I’m heading to is outside the capital.

It would be nice if I had a faster means of transportation, but since I only have my body, I ran as fast as I could.

Luckily, the memories of running in the first world remain, so running wasn’t difficult. In fact, without the large chest I had back then, balancing and running was much easier.

Still, it’s slightly faster than a normal adult’s walking speed. Being short is an unavoidable issue.

So after running for quite a while, by the time the sun was high in the sky,

I arrived at the edge of the capital.

Surprisingly, there are no city walls. Actually, the traces of the city walls had been long gone. With the city expanding, the area that could be enclosed by the walls has long since been surpassed, and there’s no longer a wall to regulate entry.

So, many people are passing by, and many police are walking around too.

The capitals of the world I’ve been in were mostly surrounded by city walls.

Compared to those places, this world’s capital is an ancient city, and I could really feel it as I walked on.

I reached a place where the buildings disappeared, and nature was close by. It’s the boundary between the city and nature.

Here, the ground is scattered with dry dirt, as if a gas pipe underground burst. It’s the mark of where the thorn bushes had grown outward.

I crossed over the pit and made my way to the opposite side.

Beyond this lies the wilderness. But it’s not uninhabited. I went a bit farther from the main path where people might pass by and kept heading west.

I could see a mountain far in the distance. Beyond it lies the sea. This country is shaped like a crescent moon with an empty space on the left. Geographically, the pointed part at the top has the capital, and the pointed part at the bottom has Vern City.

Though not perfectly symmetrical, the side with the capital has more plains.

Anyway, that’s not what’s important. The key thing is that to the west, there is a mountain range that blocks the sea breeze from coming eastward.

A lot of scary monsters live there, but there are many local rulers too. When monsters bounce around like pinballs, they stay still and hunt the ones that come toward them.

That’s why it’s more beneficial to leave them be than to hunt them down, as Kanna’s memory says.

And Maleficent lived there.

Yes.

That’s right.

In short, I’m going to claim everything from the enemy I’ve hunted.

This world isn’t like the first world, where I can’t have possessions due to the place I’m standing. Nor is it like the second world, where the era is bad and I have nothing to own.

I should gather what I can, right?

As soon as I reached the foothills, the nature around me grew richer. There was much more light moving here and there, and I could feel sharp gazes.

But it’s fine.

Crushing reality and turning living beings into objects is something that’s difficult to use often, but it’s not impossible.

I just have to be careful not to break the world. Once I catch a big one, it’ll bow its head.

Anyway, I don’t plan things down to the last detail. I’m not smart enough to plan everything. I just think, "It’ll probably go well around here," and that’s enough.

I live according to the concept I’ve set, without worrying too much about contradictions.

The reason I have no hesitation is because my physical body isn’t from someone who was once alive. There’s no need to feel guilty, right?

I thought this as I walked up the mountain where the witch’s house was.
