Chapter 75: Chapter 74: Found You

"Found you!"

Su Su’s gaze was fixed on the Crystal Ball. The men and women appeared to be in an attic; some were gathered around a computer, while others were preparing some kind of equipment.

They were stuffing blankets and tools into backpacks. Someone was also organizing a tent and food.

They were obviously planning a long trip.

Usually, when Su Su performed a divination, even if she could see something, it was always a hazy, indistinct feeling, like looking at flowers in a fog. Sometimes, she would even doubt whether it was just her imagination and couldn’t be sure.

But this time, the divination felt incredibly good. Although a thin layer of "mist" still remained at times, Su Su could even faintly make out some of their facial features just by focusing her will.

’Hm?!’

Just then, something Su Su saw made her heart skip a beat!

She noticed a pattern on the exposed right hand of a young man. Out of curiosity, the image in her Crystal Ball began to focus on the arms of the people there.

’Just as I thought!’

Every single one of these young people had a counterfeit Dawn Seal on their hand.

Su Su could tell they were fake at a glance because the group had clearly just drawn them on their hands with something like a paint marker.

Although they were drawn quite well, the cheap, shoddy look of them was almost too much for Su Su to bear.

At that moment, Su Su suddenly felt a slight, sharp pain in her head. It was a sensation she had never experienced during a divination before, but it definitely wasn’t a good sign.

Her first instinct was to quickly pinpoint their location, not to give up the divination.

She calmed her breath and cleared her mind.

She forced her perspective to expand outward from inside the attic, moving through the walls, through the roof...

The image in the Crystal Ball had already started to blur.

After dragging it out for only a few more seconds, the pain in Su Su’s head intensified from a slight sting to the feeling of being pricked by needles.

Doudou didn’t know what was wrong with Su Su, but it could see her spiritual fluctuations becoming unstable, and fine beads of sweat had appeared on her forehead.

She forcibly maintained this state for another ten seconds or so. Just a moment before Qin Xiaoxia was about to help her break off the divination...

With a muffled groan, Su Su clutched her head and pulled out of the divination.

"HUFF... HUFF... HUFF..."

She was panting heavily, as if she had just finished a marathon.

Only then did Su Su realize her hair was completely soaked and her hands were covered in sweat, but the throbbing pain in her head wouldn’t let her release her grip.

Doudou scurried over and jumped onto the desk, pushing the laptop and Crystal Ball aside so Su Su could lean against it.

"Paris... huff... Fisher... Street... 152..."

After saying this, Su Su blissfully fainted.

"Boss, what do we do now?"

Doudou had reacted quickly enough to catch Su Su’s head as she fainted, calling out to the Shadow of the Red Demoness.

"It’s just mental overexertion. Take her to bed, and she’ll be fine."

With those words, delivered in an ethereal tone, the Shadow of the Red Demoness dissipated into thin air.

Doudou glanced at its two and a half bags of snacks, then back at Su Su’s petite but definitely-not-liftable-by-Doudou frame.

It hesitated for half a second before quickly hopping off the desk, grabbing the snacks, and running off.

About five minutes later, accompanied by the sound of footsteps on the stairs, Doudou returned to the attic with South Wind and Gu Hao.

South Wind and Gu Hao had just finished the first phase of their work and were eating instant noodles to regain their strength when Doudou burst into the main hall demanding they help carry someone. It even tossed them each a soy-braised egg as "payment."

They had assumed there was no one else in this secret "castle," but now they realized that might not be the case.

Although they had been working here for a while, their movements were basically a straight line between their room and the main hall, with an occasional trip to the newly established bathroom at most.

When they went up to this place that felt more like a tower than an attic, they found a beautiful girl with soaking wet hair passed out by the desk.

Strands of soft, light-blonde hair clung to her face, and fine beads of sweat still dotted her cheeks.

’Did she faint?’

Although they were first captivated by her stunning looks, their eyes were soon drawn to the laptop on the desk, and the Crystal Ball resting on a cushion beside it.

A faint mist still swirled around the Crystal Ball, gradually fading away.

’A Witch!!!’

South Wind and Gu Hao cried out simultaneously in their minds.

Anywhere else, even if they had seen such a "real-life special effect," that wouldn’t have been their first thought. But here, in this mysterious place, it was the only explanation.

’She must be another powerful, mysterious being, aside from Mr. Qin!’

As for what this beautiful Witch was doing here, they had their suspicions but were wise enough not to ask.

"Carry her to the Boss’s room. She needs to rest. Be careful not to bump her into anything!"

"Uh, okay..."

South Wind and Gu Hao answered, then walked forward, a little awkwardly.

One grabbed her under the arms, and the other took her legs.

Her silky dress and stockings, her soft, smooth hair, her ample bust, and the fragrance mingling with her sweat.

But the two of them only dared to tense up and stare straight ahead, not allowing a single improper thought to enter their minds.

It was as if their hands were carrying a delicate ceramic artifact that needed to be handled with extreme care, not a beautiful girl who was a feast for the eyes.

Are you kidding? This was a Witch whose powers were a complete unknown!

At a time like this, forget about trying to take advantage of the situation; even accidentally brushing against her could have unforeseeable consequences.

It was true they worked for Mr. Qin, but this Witch hadn’t shown herself before, so they had no idea if she was vicious or not.

If her temper was as big as her chest, they’d be in for a rough time.

Besides, she was being carried to Mr. Qin’s room. The relationship between those two was probably anything but ordinary.

The two men, who were counting on living an extraordinarily exciting life from now on, dared not act recklessly.

Doudou supervised the whole process as the two men cautiously carried Su Su down from the attic, along the second-floor hallway to Qin Xiaoxia’s room, and carefully placed her on the bed.

The two men didn’t let out a sigh of relief until Su Su was settled. They quickly backed away to the side, not even thinking of helping her take off her shoes.

"What are you looking at? Get back to work, get back to work."

Doudou happily shooed away the two men, who were just looking for an excuse to leave, as if they were flies.

It went over, disdainfully pulled off Su Su’s ankle boots and tossed them on the floor, then tugged a corner of the blanket over her before closing the door and going out to eat its snacks.

Why put her on Qin Xiaoxia’s bed?

Because there were only three tidied-up rooms in the house.

One for South Wind and the other two Artisans, one for Qin Xiaoxia, and one for Doudou.

Moving her to the Artisans’ room was impossible, and Doudou certainly didn’t want Su Su sleeping in its bed, especially when she was all sweaty.

So, the only choice was to move her to the Boss’s room.

’Besides,’ Doudou thought to itself, ’my room is full of snacks and all sorts of private stashes. What if Su Su steals them!’

...

On the airplane, Qin Xiaoxia opened his eyes, having withdrawn his senses from the Secret Realm he was weaving.

He rubbed his forehead wearily and let out a long breath.

’Paris, huh? That’s actually perfect.’

Although he still didn’t know the names of these people, Su Su had provided a detailed address. If Baru couldn’t find them with that, his many years of service would have been for nothing.

Many international flights allow phone use nowadays, so Qin Xiaoxia sent a message to Baru’s newly registered WeChat account using voice input.

He brought the phone close to his mouth, and a silent fluctuation of Magic Power was converted into an audio file.

"Paris, 152 Fisher Street."
