Chapter 92: Chapter 66: Entering the Dream (Part 2)

Sopea: "?"

"Are you sure?"

"Is there a problem?" Sean tilted his head.

This was a huge problem.

Sopea said meaningfully, "I used to be in the Hall of Truth."

And his rank had not been low. 𝙛𝓻𝒆𝒆𝒘𝙚𝓫𝙣𝙤𝒗𝙚𝓵.𝙘𝙤𝙢

This was one of the reasons he felt so self-assured, even knowing Sean had been a Tier Ten in his past life.

A Tier Ten from the Hall of Truth was stronger than an ordinary Tier Ten.

And throughout the entire Era of Polymath, there were only so many Tier Tens. If Sean’s past self had truly worked in the Hall of Truth, then Sopea would definitely have an impression of him—not just of the past Sean, but this current one as well. Because a Reshaper’s soul never changes, upon encountering familiar people or events from the past, they would more or less remember something.

This was how many Reshapers’ memories gradually awakened.

But he felt no such familiarity with Sean.

Judging by Sean’s attitude toward him, it was clear Sean wasn’t familiar with him either.

Sopea felt that Sean was overestimating himself somewhat.

Sean had learned about the concept of "Reshaping" from Elvire, so he naturally knew this didn’t make logical sense. But he didn’t dwell on it—he wasn’t even familiar with his own sister-in-law, let alone Sopea.

The reason was likely the same as why the statue’s face was blurry.

It seemed his past self had wanted others to forget him.

’This guess felt a bit counterintuitive, because Sean knew in his heart that he was just an ordinary guy. For monumental achievements like single-handedly building the Hall of Truth and ushering in the Era of Polymath, he would definitely want his name to go down in history. Maybe not to be immortalized forever, but being remembered for a few hundred years wouldn’t be too much to ask, right?’

There had to be another reason for doing this.

Sean couldn’t guess what that reason was yet, which made him even more determined to go see the Hall of Truth.

Even if his past self wasn’t in the Holy Sanctuary at this point in time, he still had to go.

At the very least, he wanted to see what was on the upper floors of the Holy Sanctuary.

It would be even better if he could figure out how to control the statue; he was counting on it to "come alive."

’Past experiences were certainly important, but the secrets of the Holy Sanctuary were equally vital. Besides, while his experiences could only help him understand himself better, the Holy Sanctuary could grant his present self tangible benefits and improvements. The choice was obvious.’

This was, in itself, one of the key things Sean had hoped to dream about.

Now that he had the chance, he certainly didn’t want to miss it.

Seeing Sean’s insistence on going to the Hall of Truth, Sopea didn’t stop him or ask any more questions. He simply reminded him, "Nothing exists in this dream that you haven’t seen before."

In other words, if Sean wasn’t a member of the Hall of Truth, he wouldn’t be able to enter the Holy Sanctuary before them at all. And even if he did, it would just be a chaotic mess where nothing was clear.

When that happened, he wouldn’t be the one who was embarrassed.

Sean just smiled and said nothing.

’We’ll see who’s embarrassed in a moment.’

"Let’s go."

Sean "led the way" at the front.

Since the three of them weren’t real people in the dream, traveling was effortless. They floated over in an instant, like ghosts.

Koni was still hesitating about whether to enter. To a Wizard, the Hall of Truth was a very sacred place. But like Sean, she was extremely curious about what treasures were hidden on the third, fourth... even the seventh floor of the Holy Sanctuary. Once inside, she would surely be unable to resist floating up to take a look. Such sneaky behavior, even in a dream, felt a bit offensive and out of line.

Sopea, however, just thought she was overthinking it.

He had already said that nothing Sean hadn’t experienced existed in this dream; even if they wanted to look, they wouldn’t be able to see anything.

One shouldn’t assume that being a Tier Ten automatically granted entry into the Holy Sanctuary.

Why did the Hall of Truth become the Holy Land in the hearts of all Wizards during the Era of Polymath?

Wasn’t it because it treated everyone equally?

A Tier Ten, who would receive the most honored treatment in other families or even in the Church Court, had to do the same as any Low-tier Wizard in the Hall of Truth: obediently touch the statue and enter only after receiving permission.

This rule had once infuriated many a Grand Mage, but no one had ever broken it.

First, they didn’t dare. Second, they didn’t have the ability.

Because the Master of the Holy Sanctuary was Carl Black.

A legendary figure whom even the Pope would treat with deference.

In the plaza, the statue’s face was still blurry.

Yet Sean felt an incredible sense of familiarity with it.

Everything here was identical to the Void Technique Space, but it had incredibly realistic colors and textures, indicating that it was not an illusion.

Elise hadn’t been fooling him; the Holy Sanctuary had truly existed.

Around the statue, many students were trying to gain Blake’s approval, a scene extremely similar to the one in the Void Technique Space. Sean didn’t join the crowd, but floated directly toward the main gate of the Holy Sanctuary.

Sopea, with Koni in tow, followed behind Sean.

He was still waiting to see someone get embarrassed.

But unexpectedly, upon entering the Holy Sanctuary, he was the first to frown.

’The interior of the Holy Sanctuary isn’t a chaotic mess? It has a clear and complete structure?’

Sopea found it a little hard to believe. ’Could it be that Sean’s past self was really a member of the Holy Sanctuary?’

’Then why don’t I recognize him?’

As if guessing his thoughts, Sean winked at the master and apprentice. "Surprising, isn’t it?"

"Mhm!" Koni nodded like a little chick pecking at rice, her eyes shining. She hadn’t expected Mr. Sean to be such a distinguished figure, just like her master.

Sopea, however, just snorted. "It’s only the first floor. Nothing to be proud of."

In modern terms, the first floor of the Holy Sanctuary was like a university’s athletic field. The entry barrier was very low and didn’t prove anything. It was nothing like him, who had honorably set foot on the third floor, even in this life.

After a few interactions, Sean now had a clear understanding of this Dream Builder’s personality. He was the type who wouldn’t give up until faced with undeniable failure. ’Well then, let’s keep heading up.’
