Chapter 140: Chapter 87: A World Without Tier 7
Sean had been analyzing the potential dangers of their journey with such a straight face that Elvire actually thought he had some profound insight. But it turned out, after all that beating around the bush, that he just wanted to practice Dual Cultivation with her...
The point was, what did he even mean by Dual Cultivation!
It was a perfectly respectable two-person Meditation Technique, but he made it sound like... something else entirely...
Besides, Meditation was a very private affair. She was a prim and proper girl; how could she just agree to meditate with Sean the moment he suggested it?
Elvire’s cheeks flushed slightly. She turned her head aside and let out a soft huff.
She neither agreed nor refused.
She might as well have had the words "Persuade me" written across her face.
She wasn’t about to let Sean get his way so easily.
’He shouldn’t forget that he still hasn’t given me a proper explanation for what happened before.’
’Even though I’m not angry anymore, he should at least have the right attitude, right?’
’Always risking his life and making others worry... what kind of behavior is that?’
’A proper boy... no, a proper *good friend* should give a girl a sense of security.’

One glance at Elvire was all it took for Sean to know what was on her mind.
’I *could* apologize, even if I wasn’t in the wrong. After all, it’s just to placate my little sister-in-law; backing down once in a while is no big deal. The thing is, I’m a pretty honest guy. People always say you should "admit your mistakes and correct them." But since I wasn’t wrong, what was there to correct?’
So, Sean said with great sincerity, "What happened last time was my fault. I’m sorry for making you worry."
’He’s finally giving in...’ Elvire was secretly delighted, suppressing a smile. Just as she was about to magnanimously reply, "It’s fine, just be more careful next time," she heard Sean add:
"And I’ll do it again."
Elvire: "?"
’There’s going to be a next time?!’
’Should I order your tombstone now, then? And find you a nice burial plot with good feng shui?’
Elise laughed out loud, playing peacemaker. "Alright, alright, let’s talk about this after we leave. First, we need to get out of the city."
It was getting late. If they hurried to the station, they could still catch the last train of the night before they were officially "wanted."
Sean nodded. "Okay, let’s go."
But Elvire snapped in exasperation, "Okay, my foot!"
’I can see it clearly now,’ she thought. ’This guy has no intention of placating me at all; he only knows how to make me angry.’
’And with an attitude like that, he still wants to practice Dual Cultivation with me?’
’In his dreams!’
Hmph!!
「Five minutes later.」
The four of them gathered up the cash that had been blown across the floor by a gust of Magic Power, then turned invisible and walked out of the hotel. They avoided the Smell Crows circling in the sky and headed straight for the train station to rendezvous with Sopea, Kate, and the others.
The tickets had already been purchased. With the help of Lante’s Witch Potion, they boarded the train without a hitch.
This was Sean’s first time on a train. Previously, he had always taken buses for his excursions. He never expected the sleeper car to be so unexpectedly "luxurious"—it was actually a private compartment.

Though the space was rather small, only about the size of two beds, it was fully equipped. It even had a coat rack. There were two small cabinets in opposite corners—one stocked with snacks, the other with magazines. Aside from the lack of a private bathroom, it was practically perfect.
The lighting was good, too.
There was a window in the wall beside the bunk, set at the perfect height. You could just pull back the curtain and sit up to enjoy the passing scenery.
You could say the whole thing was like a miniature, mobile "ocean-view room."
Sean truly never imagined a sleeper car on a train could be this nice.
Not until he heard the price of the tickets.
"Of course it’s nice," Kate said. "For over three thousand per person, if they didn’t make you comfortable, who would buy VIP tickets in the future?"
Everyone: "..."
Their destination was a coastal city in the southeastern region of the continent: Alvess.
As one of the ten most famous Seaport Cities, Alvess boasted the largest port in the world. Its annual cargo throughput exceeded 1.5 billion, consistently ranking it number one globally. Because of this, whenever locals introduced their hometown to travelers, they would always proudly declare, "If there’s water, there’s no place our ships can’t reach."
New Eldo was nearly 2,000 kilometers from Alvess. Including all the stops along the way, they would be on the train for three days and two nights. Even so, everyone still felt the tickets were too expensive.
A normal berth would have been just over a thousand, but the VIP tickets cost three times as much.
Kate rolled his eyes. "It’s not your money. Take it or leave it."
’He’d bought all the tickets; he couldn’t stand these ingrates. Hmph.’
’Wait a minute,’ Sean suddenly thought. ’I’m a multimillionaire now. Why am I quibbling over something like this?’
So he immediately called for the attendant exclusive to the VIP car.
"I’d like to order some food!"
They had gone straight to the hotel to wait for Zajik after robbing the bank that afternoon and hadn’t eaten dinner yet.
"One moment, sir." The attendant left briefly and quickly returned with a menu.
But Sean just gave a grand wave of his hand. "No need for a menu. Just bring me the most expensive dinner you have on this train."

"One for everyone!"
Yisha immediately cheered, "Yay! Mr. Sean is so generous!"
Sopea’s lip twitched. He vaguely recalled that Lord Blake had been just like this back in the day.
Except what he’d had everyone "eat" wasn’t dinner, but exam papers—
"You’re all teachers. How can you only do one test paper per assessment, just like the students?"
"Give them ten more."
"Ten for each of you!"
It had been an absolute nightmare.
Elvire, however, finally couldn’t hold back any longer. She frowned slightly and said, "Could you please be a little more frugal?"
’He gets a little money and immediately starts spending it recklessly, without any thought for the future.’
Sean winked at her. "What’s this? You want to manage my finances?"
Elvire: "?"
