Chapter 132: Chapter 83: Explanation

As it turned out, Sean was even more ruthless than these politicians.

He flipped the whole table.

Not only did he rob a bank in New Eldo in broad daylight, but he also used Magic in front of everyone.

The Witch Hunt Operation had been going on for so long that nearly every Wizard was trying their best to stay hidden to avoid being discovered by Witch Hunters. But Sean did the exact opposite. His logic seemed to be: ’Since you all know I’m a Wizard anyway, I might as well put on a show for everyone. Let’s see who ends up in bigger trouble.’

Sabeck was having one epiphany after another today.

From being unable to grasp Sean’s intentions at first, he now completely understood Sean’s objective.

No wonder the Florist Family had put such a high price on Sean’s head. The guy would dare to do anything.

But there was still one thing he hadn’t guessed.

A wise man doesn’t stand beneath a crumbling wall.

The real trap had only just begun.

Just as the bank staff finished filling the cases with money for Sean, Zajik finally arrived on the scene.

With him was a middle-aged man.

The moment Sabeck saw him, his heart sank. ’This is bad,’ he thought. ’Things have just gotten serious.’

The man was the chief of the police department, Higgins.

It might sound like an ordinary position, but this was New Eldo. The police department was a law enforcement agency directly under the control of a mysterious power behind the scenes. In this city, the title of chief was in no way inferior to that of a Clan Leader from one of the great families.

It would be very difficult for Sean to escape now.

’How could the person who became the police chief in New Eldo be just an ordinary man?’

But again, events unfolded in a way he hadn’t expected.

As soon as Zajik arrived, he began to sneer, his eyes filled with both anger and ridicule. "Don’t think I can’t recognize you just because you’ve covered your face."

"Sean, you’ve gotten yourself into deep trouble!"

Daring to run wild in New Eldo—this was no longer just about him wanting Sean’s life.

"We’ll put our business aside for now. When we get to the station, you can start by giving Mr. Higgins a proper explanation!"

Zajik wasted no more time with words. Magic Power surged around him as he moved forward to apprehend Sean.

Although both of his Puppets had been destroyed, he was, after all, a Tier Five. A mere pipsqueak like Sean couldn’t possibly face him head-on.

Besides, he had come prepared today.

Zajik’s mind was currently filled with mathematical formulas, from sequences and limits to ordinary and partial differential equations. He had no fear of Sean’s strange Magic. No matter what kind of problem Sean threw at him, there was no way he’d be stumped again!

But Sean didn’t move a muscle.

It was as if he had given up the struggle.

Instead, it was Higgins who narrowed his eyes. "Zajik, can’t you tell?"

Zajik: "?"

’Tell what?’

Zajik didn’t understand what Higgins meant. His attack was already underway, so he decided to capture Sean first and ask for details later.

That is, until his hand grabbed Sean’s shoulder.

He saw the corner of Sean’s mouth curve into a subtle arc, his eyes filled with mockery.

The next moment, Sean’s body suddenly collapsed. His skin crumbled away like a sandman, revealing the "skeleton" within—a block of wood, as tall as a person, that had been crudely carved into a human shape.

Zajik’s hand closed on nothing but a handful of sand and a wooden stick.

His expression changed instantly.

’Puppetry Art??’

Zajik whipped his head around and lunged for Elvire.

But the result was the same.

His one handful of sand became two.

Sabeck, hidden in the crowd, was utterly stunned. ’Those were fakes??’

’Did I really just think a damn fake was elegant and handsome?’

"The Puppet Path has always been a secret of the Florist Family, never shared with outsiders. Why does he know it?"

Higgins looked at Zajik meaningfully.

"Compared to Sean, I believe the one who needs to give me an explanation is you, Mr. Zajik."

Zajik: "???"
