"Get down!"
The yellow wind danced wildly, lifting dust and thick fog across the plain, carrying the ringworm blessed by calamity, as it attacked the Life Esoteric Church’s headquarters, ’Bone Fortress.’ Wherever the calamitous wind passed, everything withered and decayed.
Pale colonies of fungus grew from the rotting wounds, and the whole world was infected with athlete’s foot, that acidic, broken-down, bizarre taste pervading the inside of Bone Fortress.
The scent spread for miles, such was its extent.
Bone Fortress was originally built from the bones of high-tier saints; it was supposed to be indestructible. Yet, even so, it couldn’t withstand the disaster personally designed by Merlin, not even when the Esoteric Priests had already ordered the closure of the outer city, dropping the Holy Bone gates. The acidic gases still crept in through the gaps around the frames, unstoppable.
Chemical warfare, this was the most top-level chemical warfare. Even in the history of the wars in the Kingdom of Chaos, there had never been a battle so inhumane and utterly relentless.

"Kill me..."
An Su’s creation, ’Saintess Face’ of Virtual Life, had already pressed to the outer city of Bone Fortress. Six giant spinning fans were fully activated, indiscriminately blowing all the athlete’s foot into the outer city. The Followers of Life tasked with guarding the fortress’s outer parts lay on the ground, desperately covering their mouths and noses. Despite this, they couldn’t escape the assault of the wind of calamity.
The priests also tried to blow the wind back, but they were not Wind Sorcerers after all; their wind power was far less than the Holy Wind blown by the Saintess Brand fans.
The loss of the outer city had become inevitable; nobody had expected that An Su would use their own methods against them.
As the rows of Esoteric Soldiers along the city walls fell one after another, frothing at the mouth and fainting, even the audience outside the world couldn’t bear to watch, An Su’s birth was just too outrageous!
Having personally witnessed such an extreme form of chemical warfare, who could still imagine that this began as a ’Holy Light’ examination?
Does being poisoned by the light still count as Holy Light?
[Please, Followers of Life, hold on until dawn comes.]
[Dawn is an hour and a half away.]
The horizon was faintly brightening, the dim twilight gradually thinning out. Only an hour and a half remained until dawn, but most of the Followers of Life felt they wouldn’t live to see the sun today.
High Priest Robes’s face turned pale. He looked at the outer city that had completely fallen, his feelings increasingly complicated.
Bone Fortress could withstand a full-strike from a demigod, but it just couldn’t hold back these pervasive gases.
If the yellow wind infiltrated the Holy Hall’s workshop, letting His Majesty, who was devouring ’Chaotic Lines,’ catch a whiff of it, Archbishop Robes couldn’t bear to imagine his own miserable fate.
At that moment, he would rather be suffocated to death.

Bishop Morgan slightly furrowed his brow. "If the calamity breaks through the fortress and enters the Life Workshop that manufactures ’Stitched Life,’ disrupting the Life Ritual, then no more Stitched Life can be born."
An Su, this kid is outrageous. Originally, he should have been the Holy Knight guarding the church, protecting the Dawn Saintess during the Dawn Ceremony... How did it end up upside down? Instead, the Followers of Life are guarding the fortress, protecting the Life Saintess during the Life Ritual...
She laughingly stared at Merlin, "Never expected this day, did you? To be cleaned up by your own mischief."
Bishop Morgan delighted in seeing Merlin at a disadvantage.
"Heh."
But Merlin’s face showed no signs of loss or regret. His lips slightly curled upwards, revealing a sinister and mysterious smile as if everything was within his expectations,
"The calamity won’t make it inside the Holy Hall."
"How’s that possible..."
Bishop Morgan thought Merlin was just stubbornly denying his fate. She used the Magic Eye to look toward Bone Fortress, but saw no wind-stopping Magic Circles or barriers of any sort. The yellow wind needed only a gentle push to slip through the bone gate.
Moreover, An Su’s Saintess Brand fans could rotate in all directions, allowing him to freely control the wind’s path.
As An Su took the form of a Dawn Giant, he calmly gazed at Bone Fortress, just waiting for the calamity to corrode it and kill all the Esoteric Followers. He commanded several dead souls to adjust the angles, increasing the wind’s power to its maximum, ready to break through the inner city in one go.
The roots of Wind Leaf Grass burrowed into the cheeks of Saintess Face, inhaling most of the flesh and blood, sucking the latter dry until only brittle bones remained, then whipped up the fiercest wind, which sprinted into a ferocious tornado. It thundered toward the Life Workshop!
The Esoteric Followers despaired, already envisioning their miserable end, closing their eyes, unable to watch any longer. In the audience stand, the more tender-hearted women and children even made the sign of the cross on their chests, praying that the Radiant Goddess would bless the poor Followers of Life.
Just as everyone had given up hope, the yellow wind suddenly stopped.
All the calamities, all the germs, all the athlete’s foot, they all halted just outside the workshop, unable to advance further, even though it was only a step away from the Life Workshop, even though there was no barrier in between, still, the calamity somehow couldn’t advance any further, inexplicably halting in mid-air.
It was as if the air had coagulated,
An invisible wall stood in the small distance ahead.
"...?"
An Su blinked in surprise, stunned.
He ordered the Saintess Faces to increase their effort to blow, but even turning the Saintesses upside down, eyes rolling back and frothing at the mouth, they could no longer advance even half a step.
