Chapter 278: Chapter 278: Clean Breaks
Alexander was calmly buckling his belt and adjusting his trousers while Isabella stood by the desk, smoothing out the wrinkles of her tailored skirt and buttoning her blouse, her cheeks still flushed with a deep, lingering heat.
Suddenly, the office door was thrown open.
"What is the meaning of this?!" bellowed the university rector, stepping into the room with his face contorted in rage, his eyes darting between the scattered papers and Isabella’s disheveled appearance. "What kind of immoral, disgraceful attitude toward the university rules is this?! You two are finished—"
Before the rector could even finish his sentence, Alexander crossed the room in a blur. He didn’t say a word. He simply drove a heavy, brutal fist into the rector’s stomach.
Thud!
The air exploded out of the older man’s lungs. Alexander gripped him by the lapels, lifted his body off the floor, and slammed him hard against the concrete wall, letting him slide down into a pathetic heap. Alexander dropped to one knee right beside the gasping man, his eyes turning cold.
"Listen to me" whispered Alexander, his voice dropping into a terrifying tone as he gripped the rector’s jaw, forcing him to look him in the eye. "If I hear the slightest rumor about this again, there won’t be a place on this earth where you can hide. No matter what happens, I will personally blow your head off... do you understand me?"
The rector terrified and trembling, nodded his head rapidly like a chicken pecking at corn, unable to utter a word.
Isabella walked right past the groveling man, picking up her leather purse with poise. "Let’s go, Alex. Our time in this place is over." She paused, looking down at the shivering rector with a disgusted glare. "I left my resignation letter open on the laptop screen. You can go run and show it to the Sinclairs if you want. But make sure to tell them that I will personally repay this humiliation a hundred times over."
The two of them walked out of the faculty building, leaving the rector recovering on the floor.
"I’ll start looking for a proper commercial building," said Isabella, turning to Alexander as they reached the courtyard intersection. "You focus on securing more capital. I’m going to reach out to my friends Serena and Aria, I’m certain they’ll support our new venture. I’ll message you the moment I secure a location for our main office."
"Thanks," said Alexander with a nod.
They parted ways, heading in opposite directions. Alexander walked back toward the parking lot, his mind clear. He had zero interest in this academy anyway. The only people he actually cared about here were Sophie and Lilly, and he could take them out of this school whenever he wanted, so there wasn’t a shred of nostalgia about walking away for good.
But the moment he approached the silver Lamborghini Temerario, he spotted two familiar figures waiting nervously by the hood. It was Ben and Leo.
The two boys sprinted toward him, their faces pale and full of anxiety. "Alex! Man, please tell us you’re not leaving!" Ben pleaded, waving his hands.
"We just heard the news!" Leo chimed in, looking around the crowded parking lot. "Word travels fast, man! everyone knows that the ’prudish prince’ isn’t actually a prude at all. The rumors say you love fucking professors and that Isabella is getting fired today! The entire school is talking about it!"
Alexander stared at them, a cold, amused smirk cutting across his face. It hadn’t even been five full minutes since the incident in the office, and the entire campus was burning down with the news.
"Yeah, you heard right," said Alexander, leaning his back against the hood of the Temerario as he crossed his arms. "There’s no reason for me to waste another second staying in this place."
"Master, please!" Ben cried out, his face full of genuine desperation. "We just barely managed to overcome a bit of our shyness because of you! Don’t abandon us now, the theater club is going to die without you here!"
Alexander looked at the two of them, a faint trace of nostalgia hitting him for a second. He actually liked the kids, but time was ticking. He had a brand-new enterprise to build, and he couldn’t afford to play student or lose hours sitting in a classroom anymore.
"Listen," said Alexander, his voice dropping into a low, serious rumble. "If you guys actually want to see a new world, you can follow me. But I’m warning you right now... it’s going to be the most insane shit you will ever experience in your lives."
Ben and Leo traded a tense glance. They weren’t stupid. They knew Alexander was nowhere near an ordinary student. The guy had shown up to campus in a premium Mercedes, a modified Mustang, a heavy armored truck, and now he was driving a 920-horsepower Lamborghini. The man was swimming in ocean-deep wealth. Following him meant they were probably stepping right into a massive pile of illegal, dangerous shit—but the reward had to be worth the risk, right?
"We’re in," Leo said, his voice turning firm and confident. "We’ll do whatever it takes, Alex. Just name it."
Alexander looked at them, a sudden, wicked smirk cutting across his face as he straightened up. "Alright. Let’s start with something easy to see if you actually have the stomach for this."
He pointed down the main path toward the faculty square. "Drop your pants and run naked all the way to the rector’s office, do the helicopter dance right in front of the main doors, and run back."
Both boys froze, their jaws dropping in shock as they stared at him.
Alexander raised an eyebrow, a mocking, heavy challenge in his eyes. "What’s the matter? Didn’t you just say you had the courage to follow me?"
Ben and Leo looked at each other, their faces pale but their eyes suddenly locking with a strange determination.
"You can do this, brother..." Ben muttered, his hands moving down to grip the button of his trousers.
"Until the end...!!" Leo barked back, ripping his shirt open as the two of them prepared to commit social suicide right in the middle of the crowded courtyard.
