Chapter 1946: Chapter 867: Prophecy and the Initial Fire

But the question was: where was he supposed to go to seek this "Supremely Evil Person"?

According to conjecture, if it truly was the Supremely Evil Person who opened the Black Fog’s Pandora’s box and released this peerless Great Terror, then he should have lived in the earliest Epoch; and how many years lie between that distant age and the present can no longer be ascertained. Even if there were any traces, they have long since been drowned in the river of time.

Rod knew very clearly that, for a situation like this, there was only one possible method—prophecy.

Only through prophecy could one find the traces of the Supremely Evil Person’s existence, could one discern what he had done, and how the Black Fog came into being.

However, the Great Shepherd Leader had told him that prophecy of this magnitude would very likely require the strongest prophetic mode, namely the Prophetic City State that possessed the core of the Book of Eternity.

Rod frowned slightly. With the destruction of Saint Longde, the Prophetic City had also been destroyed, but the prophets of Saint Longde had all returned to Trolian. More fortunately, the Great Shepherd Leader soon discovered that Trolian’s White Tower was far more powerful than imagined, possessing a peerless Super Rank prophetic core.

"The White Tower is definitely a true Source Divine Artifact; the prophetic power it possesses is far greater than I previously believed."

On the top of the White Tower, the Great Shepherd Leader said in a deep voice.

"The power you previously drew out was less than one-tenth of what it can do."

Iyeta, Master of White Tower, and the gathered prophets stared in shock at the Great Shepherd Leader, who had already returned to normal human form. The Light of Prophecy flickered faintly around him; the traces of fate passed through his soul at every moment. This was the strongest prophet they had ever seen; his Inspiration and Intuition had risen to an unimaginable height.

Iyeta sighed. "Though we knew the White Tower was a Divine Artifact, we never imagined it would be this powerful."

Rod nodded. "In Trolian, where history and inheritance have both been severed, we often take the Soul Weapons of Ancient Gods for Divine Artifacts, without knowing that Source Artifacts are the true Divine Artifacts."

The Great Shepherd Leader asked, "How did the original White Tower come into being?"

Iyeta said in a low voice, "The early history of Trolian has been lost. In the ancient records we possess, the White Tower has always existed."

The Great Shepherd Leader’s brows knit slightly; his expression seemed somewhat puzzled.

"The White Tower’s Super Rank prophetic core appears to have been refined from some special soul and fused with a Unique Source Material. This should not be a product of the Dark Epoch. In fact, all existing Source Artifacts come from eras that can no longer be verified, and were forged by True Gods."

Iyeta mused, "Perhaps it was a legacy the First Hero Trolian brought back from the Fire Kingdom that was on the brink of destruction."

The Great Shepherd Leader nodded slightly. "That is quite possible. However, the body of this tower is entirely structured around the prophetic core. Every part of its architecture serves to bring out the prophetic core’s effect in the most perfect way. Even the entire tower’s substance is composed of special Spirit Realm materials... Clearly, if the White Tower is not a creation of the Giant Royal Court from ancient times, then it must have been built after Trolian’s arrival. Undertakings on this scale are beyond the capacity of ordinary human civilizations."

Rod’s brows sank. "Great Shepherd Leader, you mean to say..."

"Yes. The earliest Trolian may not have been as weak as you imagine. I believe they must have had Primordial Strong ones, perhaps even Quasi-King Level or higher."

The Great Shepherd Leader paused for a moment, then said:

"Perhaps the First Hero Trolian himself was a Quasi-King Level powerhouse."

Rod found it hard to believe. "But if the First Hero Trolian was a Quasi-King, then why was the Kingdom destroyed? Why were our knowledge and inheritance cut off? The dark rampage of the Black Fog arrived only eighteen hundred years later; barring such a catastrophe, what could slay a Quasi-King and annihilate his Kingdom?"

The Great Shepherd Leader pondered. "I do not know. Perhaps there are still secrets here that we are unaware of. The expansion and contraction of the Black Fog are not as simple as we imagined."

Everyone fell silent. After a long while, Iyeta said, "It seems that digging deeper into Trolian’s history is also necessary. I will report this matter to Emperor Qingyu and the Jinwoosi Society. The great scholars and Ash Excavators will not let such a major enigma pass them by."

The Great Shepherd Leader said gravely, "I will do my utmost to assist you. There are still some secrets in Trolian that we have not unraveled. Perhaps this is why the gears of fate have turned toward you."

At this moment, a prophet asked, "Your Excellency Great Shepherd Leader, how can we bring forth the White Tower’s full power?"

"The White Tower requires stronger Soul Power to drive the prophetic core. We need more prophets. Lord Iyeta, as the master who resonates with the White Tower, you must further enhance your Soul Strength. Although prophets do not use Spiritual Energy, the ability to withstand the intensity of prophecy is extremely important... In this respect, your potential is even higher than mine."

The Great Shepherd Leader paused, then said:

"Saint Longde had about thirty thousand qualified prophets, but their prophetic talents were generally inferior to those of the White Tower’s prophets. Even if all of them moved into the White Tower, it would still not be enough to bring the Tower’s core to full operation. We need to build more auxiliary towers. Special structures can convert Spiritual Energy into Energy that prophecy can use. Combined with Lord Rod’s special Book of Prophecy, only then will the White Tower have a chance to unleash its full power and utter a prophecy concerning the Supremely Evil Person. Of course, it would be best if we had a Relic of the Supremely Evil Person; otherwise, the cost of prophecy will increase by an entire order of magnitude."
