Chapter 615: World-shattering.

Rullein flew up high into the sky and watched the two dragons circling around her with the raging thunder right above her head. She coated her greatswords while the Great Spirits fled from the island, knowing that when both Zagres and Agon had decided to reveal their celestial beast forms, catastrophe followed them.

"You didn’t kill, you had no desire to kill in the first place. Why?" Agon asked, his deep and growly voice echoed throughout the sky.

"What else? If there are leaders that lead those Great Spirits, I’m planning to take that spot," Rullein answered as she kept her eyes on Agon, admiring the golden scale of his. "Pretending to be dragons, you really think you can become one?" She scoffed and glanced at Zagres with his jet-black shiny scales covered in dark clouds and sparks of lightning.

"Who are you to judge when you’re also pretending to be one?" Zagres’ voice cracked the sky and made the sky rumble as if it was screaming out of fear at his presence. "A spirit is still a spirit, nothing more, nothing less."

Zagres and Agon flew toward Rullein beyond the speed of sound that tore through the air. The sonic booms were deafening, and it was enough to shatter the ice on the ground and shredded the trees. They used their long arms and their massive claws to attack her, a huge claw that could flatten a castle with a gentle tap.

Rullein used her wings to protect her whole body, and the moment her wings clashed with those claws, the ice that coated her wings shattered in an instant. The impact created two devastating shockwaves that split the island into two. Both Zagres and Agon tightened their claws, concentrating to a single point on Rullein’s wings. They thought it would be enough to crush her but the fact that she was sneering while she resisted their strength with only her wings, they realized how monstrous she was.

Zagres decided to charge his claws with lightning until his claws glowed bright blue while Agon decided to heat up his claws until they turned glowing bright orange. Rullein’s left wing began to shred by the lightning that rapidly struck it while her right wing began to burn and melt by the heat. The left side of her armor began to crack and shatter while the right side of her armor began to melt.

"Yes! This is it!" Rullein screamed in euphoria as her wings began to tear apart because they couldn’t resist both forces at the same time.

Rullein watched the claws closing in, readying to crush her whole body but she tightened her grip on her swords and spun around. She reinforced and focused the Overlord’s ice power onto her swords and arms instead of her body. The moment she clashed her greatswords with Zagres and Agon’s claws, every friction created a devastating shockwave that shredded both the sky above them and the island below them. After a long battle of strength, Zagres and Agon realized their claws began to crack.

Zagres and Agon were once again surprised by the sheer amount of power Rullein possessed. They knew they couldn’t prolong that stalemate position and had enough probing on the threat they were facing. They both opened their mouths widely and began to charge their Mana into spheres that floated in their mouths. The longer they charged, the bigger the spheres grew, one was light blue and the other was golden. However, before they could release it, Rullein’s body began to produce black smoke and covered their mouths as if the smoke was going to devour them.

Both of them had no choice but to release their accumulated energies, shooting the spheres toward Rullein. They both flew away as soon as they released those energies, knowing each other’s power could harm the other. The moment both spheres made contact, they combined and became unstable until it exploded right above Rullein’s head.

The explosion sucked the light and air out of the world, for a whole second the whole Neva grew dark then the next second the world turned blindingly bright as if a sun had just given birth to another sun. The world witnessed the whole sky pulsating with light for the next few seconds until everything turned back to normal again.

The explosion was too bright and too dangerous even for both Zagres and Agon that they had to use their bodies to protect the other Great Spirits. Even after they fled and prepared for it, their bodies took a huge toll on the power they released. Their scales began to dissipate and disintegrate into golden lights for Agon and ashes for Zagres. They could only wait until the destructive force was subdued.

The moment the explosion disappeared, Agon, Zagres, and the Great Spirits were stunned to see that Rullein survived that while the whole island had disintegrated with a massive hole in the sea that revealed the seabed. However, when they looked more closely, they noticed that her body was shredded, leaving only her torso and head before she finally descended and fell as the sea began to fill the hole.

They watched Rullein’s body sink into the hole and then watched the sea devour her. There was only silence for the next few seconds, wondering if they had finally defeated a monster. However, reality said otherwise when the whole sea that used to be the island froze in an instant. The frozen sea slowly emitted bright blue light before the frozen sea cracked and a figure floated to the surface through the crack and landed on the frozen sea. It was Rullein, but something was off about her, especially when her body was completely made of ice.

"That was something..." Rullein muttered as she looked at her hands, realizing the hidden power of the Overlord. "I could have died up there, but fortunately, I’m not," she glared at Zagres and Agon as her body shattered into pieces and was remade by her own power, black smoke until she could form a human body. "Ready for second round?" She grinned as she covered her body with ice armor and created greatswords with her smoke before she coated them with ice.

Rullein was about to get ready in her stance but suddenly she felt cold, an immense cold that she felt weak and collapsed to her knees. She felt like her body was both burning and cold at the same time as the ice on her body began to melt. Agon and Zagres noticed that she was weakened and didn’t waste the opportunity to attack her by using a similar attack but this time a lot weaker knowing that they couldn’t spend that much of power again and risk their own safety.

The moment they blasted the frozen sea, the ice shattered and disintegrated, creating a much smaller hole in the sea. Once the explosion disappeared, nothing was left behind, not a single ice could be seen on the sea.

"You have no manners, don’t you?" Rullein appeared above Agon’s head and stabbed her sword through his dragon’s skull. "If that’s how you play, then I can do that too," she glared as she pushed the sword deeper into his skull and released her energy right into Agon’s skull, coating his inside with her smoke, devouring his energy to refill her own.

Zagres flew toward Rullein before Agon took huge damage from her attack. He used his claws to attack Rullein while Agon used his tail to whip her off his head. When the claws and the tail were about to hit her, she turned into a puff of smoke and made Zagres’s claw hit Agon’s tail, the clash making Agon lose his balance. Rullein then reappeared on top of Agon’s body and released a devastating blow with both of her greatswords, pushing Agon into the sea.

"Let’s play dirty," Rullein stared coldly at Zagres even though she looked like in pain, but she ignored it because she knew she couldn’t rest and the fact she could no longer borrow the Overlord’s power, she couldn’t win easily against those two altogether.
