Using a wet wipe to wipe off the lipstick marks on their faces and straightening out their slightly messy clothes, the two finally walked into the building.
Just as Lin Tian had said earlier, only the security guards were on duty.
But the two of them were sneaking around like thieves; with Lin Tian’s skill, bringing Bai Shishi in naturally didn’t get them noticed.
When the elevator went up, they realized there were still a few office lights on—people were still working overtime.
What surprised Lin Tian was that Mei Ruyan’s office light was on as well.
"What’s she doing here this late?" Lin Tian asked.
Bai Shishi glanced toward Mei Ruyan’s office and said, "She’s been busy with the distribution channels lately, and also pushing the production of the army’s hemostatic medicine, plus a few other small things, but none of that should keep her here till midnight."
"Let’s go take a look."
Lin Tian knocked on the office door, then pushed it open and walked in.
"Ah!"
Instantly, two soprano screams erupted in the office, ear‑splittingly loud.
Lin Tian looked closely and saw that besides Mei Ruyan, Xu Miaoxiu, that little vixen, was there too. The two weren’t working at all; they were curled up on the sofa, each hugging a pillow, shrinking into themselves as they watched a movie.
"Hiss~" Lin Tian drew in a cold breath, rubbed his ears, and then asked, "What are you two shrieking for?"
"We’re watching a horror movie, you’re the ones who scared us!" Miaoxiu glared at Lin Tian, patting her surging chest, still a little shaken.
Lin Tian was amused by that. "You’re a mid‑level Martial Artist and you’re scared of horror movies?"
"What do you know?" Miaoxiu scooted closer into Mei Ruyan’s arms.
"Girls all get scared watching this kind of thing. Too bad my boyfriend isn’t here with me."
Miaoxiu’s eyes glistened with tears as she spoke in a helpless tone. That pitiful look would make any man’s heart ache and want to go over and comfort her properly.
Of course, this was her acting spoiled—and doing it to Lin Tian right in front of Bai Shishi and Mei Ruyan.
This wasn’t some fight for favor. All three had slept with Lin Tian; everyone knew it well enough, and they basically treated each other like sisters. So what if she acted a little spoiled?

Mei Ruyan looked at the two standing at the door, and her cold expression suddenly softened into a gentle smile. She asked, "I heard you two went to shoot the commercial today. How did it go?"

"Tell us about it."
"If I say it now it won’t be fun. Wait a couple of days till the final cut is done, then I’ll show you. It’ll blow your mind." Bai Shishi said, eyebrows dancing.
"Now I’m really looking forward to it."
Miaoxiu eyed the two at the door with a playful look and asked, "Did you two just do something naughty?"
"No..."
Before Bai Shishi could finish, Lin Tian cut in, "Yeah. Want to join?"
Bai Shishi couldn’t listen to that anymore. She quickly twisted him hard in the waist and said, "You bastard, have you no shame?!"
Leaning against the doorframe, Lin Tian was grinning in pain, and he really did look shameless.
"You two reek of alcohol. Go take a shower first, will you? It’s late, you should be resting." As she finished, Miaoxiu even shot Lin Tian a meaningful look.
"Yeah yeah yeah, shower, shower." Lin Tian nodded quickly, slipped an arm around Bai Shishi’s waist and said, "Let’s go, I’ll help you wash."
Bai Shishi’s face went even redder. She slapped his hand away and said, "I can wash myself."
With that, she fled in a panic.
"Haha, Miss Bai is shy." After laughing, Miaoxiu glared at Lin Tian. "Why aren’t you going after her? What are you standing here like an idiot for?"
Lin Tian snapped out of it, turned around, and hurried after her.
Once the two of them were gone, Miaoxiu tossed the pillow aside, walked to the computer, and turned off the movie.
"Not watching anymore?" Mei Ruyan looked up and asked.
"Your man’s here already, what am I watching a horror movie for?" Miaoxiu said with a wicked smile.
"So he’s here, so what? Shishi’s with him." Mei Ruyan hugged the pillow in her arms even tighter. She obviously knew what Miaoxiu was implying, but knowing was one thing; whether she would act on it was another.
Miaoxiu knew her "little sister’s" temperament well. Half dragging, half pulling, she yanked her up from the sofa and said, "Either way it’s time for bed. Look at the time, isn’t it super late?"
"Since when do you care about it being late? Aren’t you the one who plays around till midnight every day before sleeping?" Mei Ruyan said in disdain.
"That was before I saw the light. If you don’t sleep early, your skin won’t stay nice, and you’ll age faster. How am I supposed to steal men from you if I get old?"
"Excuses!"
"Hey, if you don’t believe me, we can just lock our door tonight, right? Once it’s locked, he can’t come in anyway." Miaoxiu winked at Mei Ruyan, looking all harmless and innocent.
"Sigh~ Since you’ve already turned off the computer, fine." Mei Ruyan nodded in agreement. Even though she didn’t believe a word of Miaoxiu’s nonsense, once the bedroom door was locked Lin Tian definitely wouldn’t be able to get in. He didn’t have a key to their room.
In truth, Mei Ruyan didn’t really mind that kind of thing, but there had to be a process, right?
Back in the bedroom, the first thing Mei Ruyan did was lock the door. That did put her at ease, but... at the same time she felt a faint sense of loss.
Women were just that kind of tangled creature.
Miaoxiu glanced at the door and chuckled. How could a lock like that possibly keep out a Golden Core expert? With Lin Tian’s lock‑picking skills, the door wouldn’t last two seconds.
Standing at the bathroom door, Mei Ruyan asked, "You shower first or should I?"
"I’ll go first. I can’t sleep if I don’t shower." As Miaoxiu spoke, she was already picking out a pink set of sleepwear from the wardrobe, holding it up in front of the mirror and posing twice, nodding in satisfaction.
Miaoxiu walked into the bathroom, while Mei Ruyan leaned against a chair off to the side, staring at the clock on the wall, thoughts wandering who knows where.
Not long after, Miaoxiu finished showering and came out in that pink sleepwear, her whole body wrapped in a soul‑stealing fragrance.
She always kept that little habit of hers—nothing underneath. With every step, a large stretch of her fair thighs was exposed to the air, the pink robe half‑covering, half‑revealing, ridiculously tempting.
"How do I look?" Miaoxiu stood in front of Mei Ruyan, hands on her slim waist, striking a pose as she cast her a sultry sideways glance, oozing charm.
"..." Miaoxiu was speechless for a while before sitting up straight and saying, "I really don’t get what’s so great about you people from the Xu Family cultivating this Charming Skill. It’s just for seducing men?"
Miaoxiu froze for a second, then burst out laughing, so hard she almost cried.
"You say that like you’re not from the Xu Family yourself." As she spoke, Miaoxiu took two steps forward, her smooth long legs on full display, and hooked a finger under Mei Ruyan’s collar. "Weren’t you the one who’s loved going commando since you were little?"
