Chapter 1108: Chapter 1108: Said Nothing

Since Lin Tian didn’t see any point in it, everything became easier to handle.

The three women simply left Lin Tian aside and started a heated discussion, while Lin Tian just sat there watching.

From song selection to entrance time and even background dancers, almost everything was arranged. Finally, Jiang Pan Die blinked at Lin Tian and asked, "You and I will do a duet for the opening, then you’ll have a solo performance mid-show, and for the last song, we’ll sing another duet, how about it?"

Lin Tian thought for a moment, then nodded, "Okay."

"The songs are set, we’ll start practicing tomorrow morning, no problem?" Zhou Wenhong asked.

Lin Tian kept nodding, "Okay."

Then, the four of them downed another drink together.

After putting down the glass, Lin Tian looked at Jiang Pan Die and asked, "Can I bring my girlfriend to the rehearsal tomorrow? She’s also your fan."

Jiang Pan Die’s eyes flickered with a peculiar look, but she hid it well and then smiled. "Of course, you can. Also, I have some extra concert tickets here, with really good seats. You’re welcome to invite your friends over."

"Thanks a lot." Lin Tian replied with a smile, no need to be polite about such things.

The four chatted and laughed, drinking quite a bit; soon, Lin Tian noticed something seemed off with Zhou Mi.

What was off?

Her face was too red, and her body swayed a bit, but she had only drunk a single bottle.

Lin Tian shifted his chair closer and gently asked, "Are you drunk?"

"It’s you who’s drunk... Hic~" She ended with a hiccup, making Lin Tian laugh hard. He never thought the famous Feihong Association boss would have such a low tolerance.

Zhou Mi glared, "No laughing allowed!"

Her tone was just like when they first met, but Lin Tian still couldn’t hold back.

"Still saying you’re not drunk, your face is all red."

Zhou Mi quickly covered her face with both hands and argued, "No, it’s not!"

Lin Tian held up a finger, "How many is this?"

"Two!"

This time, not only Lin Tian, but even Zhou Wenhong and Jiang Pan Die burst out laughing.

...

The three women were staying in a hotel, albeit not on the same floor. However, Zhou Mi passed out after just over a bottle, and Lin Tian had to carry her back to her room.

The three of them helped Zhou Mi to her room. Due to cost-saving reasons, there was another girl sharing the room with Zhou Mi, whom Lin Tian met at the street dance club. Everyone called her Xiaojie, a girl with some dance background who was also very hardworking.

Xiaojie and Jiang Pan Die went inside to help Zhou Mi change, while Lin Tian prepared honey water for everyone outside, which could help with sobering up and liver protection.

Lin Tian handed a cup of honey water to Zhou Wenhong and said, "Ms. Zhou, your eyes are still a bit swollen from crying. When you go back, try alternating between hot and cold compresses. It’ll help after a good sleep."

"Thank you." Zhou Wenhong replied as she took the honey water.

At this moment, Xiaojie and Jiang Pan Die came out of the room. Jiang Pan Die looked at Lin Tian with a somewhat strange expression and said, "Lin Tian, Zhou Mi is calling for you."

Lin Tian looked puzzled, "Isn’t she asleep? Why is she calling me?"

"She’s still groggy and mumbling, not sure why she’s calling you, but maybe you should check?" Xiaojie suggested.

Zhou Wenhong had a teasing look in her eyes as she watched Lin Tian. As someone who’s been through it all, Zhou Wenhong knew all too well what Zhou Mi was thinking, as honesty often comes out with alcohol.

"Good luck," she said.

Lin Tian couldn’t help but smile wryly. To be honest, he didn’t want to go; he was afraid of hearing something he shouldn’t.

Xiaojie, however, didn’t see it that way. She hurriedly ran behind Lin Tian and pushed him up from the sofa, saying, "Just go, what are you, a big man, afraid of?"

"..." Is this really about being afraid?

Without any option, the little girl pushed Lin Tian into Zhou Mi’s room. Before closing the door, she mischievously said, "Just pretend we’re not outside. The soundproofing in this room should be pretty good!"

Then... the door closed with a ’click’.

Lin Tian looked at the closed door, then at the peaceful beauty on the bed, with a helpless expression.

Steeling himself, Lin Tian walked to the side of Zhou Mi’s bed and saw her lips moving slightly. Even though Lin Tian hadn’t learned lip-reading, he knew she was calling his name.

Zhou Mi opened her eyes hazily, and upon seeing Lin Tian, she suddenly grabbed his hand tightly, as if afraid he would run away.

...

Lin Tian stayed in the room for about five or six minutes. When he came out, Xiaojie kept her gaze on him, her eyes sparkling.

It was as if she was saying, "Confess and everything will be lenient; resist and the punishment will be severe."

"Have Ms. Zhou and Pan Die gone back?" Lin Tian asked.

Xiaojie nodded like a pecking chick. "What I’m interested in is, what did the boss say to you?"

Before they could ask, Lin Tian said, "If I say she didn’t say anything to me, will you believe it?"

Xiaojie smiled, "Nope."

She had just pressed her ear against the door, listening for quite a while, but didn’t hear anything. However, he stayed inside for so long; how could nothing have happened?

"Fine if you don’t believe it." Lin Tian shrugged, not intending to explain further.

"Even if you don’t say it, I know, she definitely confessed, right?"

"No."

"It’s implied anyway; do you have to play dumb?" After excitedly stating that, Xiaojie spoke with a bit of melancholy, "Ah, but it’s a pity... you have Liou Qingcheng already."

"..." Lin Tian gave her a look. "You mustn’t speak of this, understand?"

Xiaojie made an OK gesture.

...

The next day, Lin Tian drove Liou Qingcheng to the rehearsal site in his car. It was her idea, after all, who wouldn’t want to see their idol?

However, Liou Qingcheng was the rational type of fan, serene as if she were visiting an old friend.

Once at the site, no one came to meet Lin Tian, but he was familiar enough with the way.

Unexpectedly, the first person he saw was Zhuo Ming. The guy looked quite startled, with dark circles under his eyes. Upon seeing the fairy-like beautiful Liou Qingcheng beside Lin Tian, he was momentarily surprised, then quickly scuttled away like a rat with its tail between its legs.

Liou Qingcheng was accustomed to such attention and didn’t mind it. Instead, she curiously looked around and, holding Lin Tian’s arm, said, "You know? I once had a dream of dancing on a stage this big."

Lin Tian replied with a wry smile, "If you hadn’t followed me to Medical University and had gone to Drama Academy or Dance Academy instead, you could have easily made it onto such a stage and might even get tired of it."

What Lin Tian said was true. With Liou Qingcheng’s talent, looks, and figure, achieving such a thing was too easy.
