Though Bai Shishi’s voice was gentle, her words were beyond dispute, even if Bai Tianlong spoke on their behalf, it wouldn’t matter. How these businesses thrived was due to her great efforts. Allowing leisure seekers to interfere would make it hard to answer to Lin Tian.
"Since the Bai Family is now yours, do as you see fit. I don’t care about other matters, just want a grandson sooner," Bai Tianlong said softly.
"Understood." Bai Shishi replied readily, though discussing such topics in front of her father always made her uncomfortable.
After chatting with her father for a while, Bai Shishi took Lin Tian to the supermarket to buy some groceries, planning to make a meal herself for lunch.
Actually, Bai Shishi’s culinary skills were lacking, to put it bluntly, she’s a novice. Apart from cooking noodles and frying eggs, she wasn’t good at much else, given that a daughter of her status rarely needed to cook.
Sometimes, though, cooking serves as a pleasant indulgence, especially when helping Lin Tian out. There’s a saying—working together doesn’t tire couples out.
Using "teaching cooking skills" as an excuse, Lin Tian stood behind Bai Shishi, guiding her hands-on.
It was more about shamelessly taking advantage than really teaching culinary skills.

After lunch, Bai Shishi tried to get her father to join her in a game of chess. But Bai Tianlong wasn’t in the mood, agreeing only after Bai Shishi coaxed him. He appreciated his daughter’s intentions, knowing that idleness could dull the mind.
Bai Tianlong wasn’t weak at chess, but his mood was poor, ending after just two or three games.
Leaning on his wheelchair, Bai Tianlong said, "It’s rare for you young ones to have some time. Accompanying this old man is no fun. Go do what you should do."
"Dad... You’re so eager to send us away?" Bai Shishi pouted, like an undeveloped little girl in front of her father.
"I’m creating an opportunity for you. I’ve already asked Xiaode to book movie tickets for you two, near the Celestial Dragon Hotel. After the movie, spend the night there and get on with important business." Bai Tianlong said, giving Lin Tian a look implying he should seize the chance to make a little one.
Lin Tian could only smile wryly, yet he couldn’t let this intention go to waste, nodding repeatedly.
Bai Shishi felt reluctant, giving several reminders before leaving the rehab center holding Lin Tian’s hand.
Lin Tian understood his father-in-law’s efforts, but the movie tickets booked amused him—he’d seen the film with Liou Qingcheng the day before yesterday, and with Jiang Pan Die yesterday, and now with Bai Shishi today.
Being with a stunning beauty each day is nice, but watching the same movie three times in a row was tiresome for Lin Tian.
Whether intentionally or unintentionally, the booked tickets were in a dim last-row corner, with no one around, perfect for couples’ tiny secrets.

"Why?"
"Your dad said we’d spend the night at the hotel. I must obey, right? The room card is right here." Lin Tian swung the card in his hand.
"..." Bai Shishi knew what Lin Tian meant. She tried to escape, but with her hand held tightly by Lin Tian, they eventually returned to the hotel leisurely.
This time, Bai Shishi wasn’t here for a job inspection but to... book a room, pulling Lin Tian quickly into the elevator, afraid of being seen by acquaintances.

Lin Tian with a playful smile asked knowingly, "What?"
Bai Shishi softly replied, "I want a baby."
