Chapter 475: Chapter 340: I Have Something to Retrieve (3)

Interesting, since entering the Death Desert, I haven’t received ’information’ from ordinary creatures. So curious, I stopped in my tracks, turned around to look, wanting to see what feast had them so excited and thrilled.

I saw a familiar figure, waving a folding shovel, hitting the ground.

There was something crawling on the ground, and it had already surrounded her. If she died, the problem would be even more serious. I quickly turned back and ran to the outside of that encirclement.

"Miss Tang, what are you doing here?" I intentionally asked, pretending to be surprised.

"I-I came to see if you needed help." Miss Tang was clearly not very good at lying, especially under such circumstances. She was too nervous, her brain not functioning well.

She was surrounded by a group of lizards, but they stood and walked on two hind legs, with two forelimbs that were relatively thin and short. Why did they look like miniature dinosaurs?

These lizards were only a few centimeters long, yet they had mouths full of sharp teeth, resembling piranhas.

They still couldn’t determine Miss Tang’s strength, so they only surrounded her without launching a full attack.

These things were quite united, yet their intelligence wasn’t high. However, even ants can kill an elephant; the power of the collective should not be underestimated.

"I don’t need help, what about you?" Standing outside the encirclement, whatever I said to explain was probably useless now. This bunch of small lizards directly ignored me. At such a close distance, they only saw Miss Tang as a snack. Why? I couldn’t think of a reasonable explanation.

Miss Tang swung her shovel to drive away the lizards, while stealing a glance at me.

Actually, her choices were simple; if it meant survival, it didn’t matter if it was a human or ghost standing before her, she should ask for help first.

"I don’t need it either." Miss Tang’s answer truly surprised me.

Her eyes were stubborn, her lips pressed tight in defiance, though her hands were trembling with fear, gripping the shovel handle tightly. Oh~ what a charming silly girl, so foolish it was alarming.

"If you don’t need help, you’ll die here. What about your wise and kind father?"

"If I say I need help, you’ll kill me to silence me. You’ve already been exposed. Just kill me if you want, so much jabbering." 𝑓𝘳𝘦𝑒𝑤𝑒𝘣𝘯ℴ𝘷𝘦𝓁.𝑐𝑜𝑚

"Hey? You’ve exposed yourself, where did the cultured person go, opening your mouth with ’P’ this and ’P’ that? Aren’t you supposed to be masters at speaking euphemistically?"

"Kill me, once my father knows I’m dead, he’ll keep it secret. He’ll know he can’t fight you." Miss Tang’s words were tinged with a tragic solemnity.

She was running out of strength, her movements slow. She supported herself with the shovel, seemingly waiting to die.

Just as she closed her eyes tightly. Facing death, feeling fear is the most normal reaction.

I raised my hand, burning away the surrounding small lizards. Not a hint of burnt smell lingered in the air.

Everything happened silently. I grinned, "Even though you don’t need help, I’m a good young man who likes to lend a hand. Well then, since you’re here for the eighteen-part farewell, if I sent you back now, I’d seem too cold-hearted. Let’s go, continue sending your man."

Just a moment ago, I measured it up. If Miss Tang died, Mr. Tang might not give up exposing my true identity. Perhaps he’d even intensify his efforts, at any cost.

Better to go back tomorrow morning, using their lives to blackmail each other. If anyone dares to keep digging into my identity, the other one dies.

Being a bad guy is my forte.

"Stop with that, I won’t become a traitor to all humanity!" Miss Tang’s righteously indignant declaration almost made me trip.

"Come on, not even Black Fans would slander mindlessly like that. Do you mean I’m the enemy of all humanity? Global warming was caused by my burning firewood? Species extinction, I ate the food chain? Environmental pollution, all the garbage left was mine alone?"

My soul-searching three-shot finally stunned Miss Tang. Gasping for breath, she couldn’t think of any words to retaliate.

"Can’t speak anymore, huh? Before being a Black Fan, prepare your brainwashing bundle first, professional, understand?"

"What Black Fan, you must be sick in the head, no matter how you spin it, you’re still here to destroy Earth, can’t be whitewashed!"
