Chapter 296: Chapter 296: Someone Will Definitely Beat Him Up in the Future

Chapter 296: Someone’s Definitely Going to Punch Him Someday

「Two days later.」

Tristan Sterling officially began his vacation.

He brought Rachel Royce and Melissa to Sinclair Manor.

Franklin Fitzwilliam and Theodore Sterling were also there today.

「In the parking lot.」

"Melissa!" Henry and Richard Sterling ran over to Melissa.

Seeing Tristan Sterling and Rachel Royce, the two boys called out, "Second Uncle, Second Aunt." Tristan had introduced Rachel to them at the Sterling family dinner.

Melissa had even made a point of introducing her mother to Henry and Richard. Although they found it strange that Melissa’s mother was only just now appearing, they knew they had to like her too since Melissa was so fond of her.

At first, they thought their Second Aunt was hard to get along with since she didn’t speak to their great-grandmother or great-grandfather. But later, they discovered she was actually a very gentle person who had even given them big red envelopes.

Hearing them call her "Second Aunt" made Rachel feel a bit awkward, but she couldn’t bring herself to be annoyed with the two polite little boys.

Besides, Melissa really liked her two older cousins, so it was hard for Rachel not to extend her affection to them as well.

"Hello, you two." She bent down slightly and replied with a smile. The gentleness in her eyes was so moving that it made Henry and Richard feel a sense of warmth.

Richard Sterling said, "Second Aunt, you look so pretty today. You’re the prettiest lady I’ve ever seen."

Melissa puffed up with pride. "Of course my mommy is the prettiest."

Richard added, "That’s why Melissa is so pretty. It’s all thanks to Second Aunt."

"..." Rachel couldn’t help but chuckle as she listened to their conversation. Richard’s words had made Melissa so happy. ’He already knows how to win people over at such a young age,’ she thought.

She hadn’t expected that someone as serious as Theodore Sterling would have two sons who weren’t the least bit stiff. Henry, as the older brother, was slightly more mature than Richard in how he spoke and acted.

"So Second Uncle gets no credit?" Tristan Sterling asked.

Richard replied righteously, "Second Uncle, you’re not pretty."

Tristan reached out and ruffled the boy’s hair. "You’re asking for it, aren’t you?"

"You’re not pretty, Second Uncle, but you’re handsome! You’re the most handsome!" Richard said, trying to curry favor.

Tristan pulled his hand back. "You little brat." He looked toward Theodore Sterling and Franklin Fitzwilliam, who were walking over, and greeted them, "Brother, Franklin."

Chloe Cheney came over to say hello to Rachel Royce.

William Jensen didn’t come to the party today because she was too far along in her pregnancy, so Franklin Fitzwilliam brought Nina with him.

Theodore Sterling nodded in acknowledgment.

Franklin Fitzwilliam said teasingly, "I’m a year older than you, you know, but you never call me with any respect."

Tristan Sterling smiled and said, "Franklin."

The moment he said it, Franklin Fitzwilliam froze on the spot. He looked at Theodore Sterling, stunned. "Did I hear that right?!"

"You heard him correctly," said Theodore Sterling.

Franklin Fitzwilliam looked Tristan Sterling up and down.

Tristan asked, "Why are you staring at me like that?"

"I’m checking to see if your body has been snatched by someone else."

"Nothing like that has happened," Tristan said.

Franklin sighed and raised an eyebrow. "It’s true. Love really does make you dumber."

Hearing this, Rachel Royce glanced over at Franklin. Franklin caught her look and had a bad feeling, as if he’d said the wrong thing. He could only press his lips into a tight smile.

"Let’s head inside first," Theodore said.

The group entered the main hall.

Jason Sinclair and Sharon Sinclair came forward to greet them.

Today’s gathering was mainly for the younger generation.

"Evelynn, long time no see."

Rachel Royce smiled and replied, "Long time no see."

Jason Sinclair greeted Tristan Sterling and the others. ’It’s obvious Rachel came with Tristan. I could tell something was up between them back at Nina Fitzwilliam’s birthday party, but I didn’t expect them to go public so soon.’ He suddenly felt a slight sense of disappointment.

"Mr. Sinclair," Rachel said to Jason Sinclair.

Jason smiled. "It’s been a while, Evelynn. You’re getting more and more beautiful."

Rachel’s lips curved into a smile. "And you, Mr. Sinclair, have become even more handsome and distinguished."

As soon as she finished speaking, a hand suddenly wrapped around her waist. Rachel froze for a second, then looked up at Tristan Sterling, the smile in her eyes fading.

"I don’t like it when you praise another man like that right in front of me," he said, his soft tone laced with jealousy as his grip tightened.

Rachel calmly met the man’s deep, bottomless black eyes.

Jason Sinclair let out a low chuckle. "Evelynn was just telling the truth. Still, this is the first time I’ve ever seen him get jealous. It’s quite an eye-opener." He directed the last sentence at Franklin Fitzwilliam and the others.

Franklin said playfully, "There’s definitely going to be more drama to watch in the future."

"Is that so? Well then, I’ll be looking forward to it. Haha."

Tristan pulled his gaze back and looked at Jason and Franklin. "You two seem to have a lot of free time on your hands."

"Well, we can’t be busy twenty-four hours a day," Franklin said. "There’s always time to kick back and gossip."

Tristan looked at Jason and said, "That actress you were with last time... it hasn’t even been two months, has it? I saw her with someone else. How can you not even hold onto a woman?"

This was because at a recent dinner party, a certain CEO had brought along the same actress Jason had previously dated.

Jason burst out laughing. "You’re right. Of course, I can’t compare to the great Tristan Sterling’s charm. Even someone as outstanding as Evelynn ended up getting snatched up by you."

"It’s a fact. No need to sound so begrudging about it."

Jason was so exasperated he laughed. "You really are asking for a punch."

Franklin laughed and patted Jason’s shoulder comfortingly. "Don’t be angry. The kid is asking for it. Someone’s definitely going to punch him someday."

Jason glanced sideways in Rachel Royce’s direction.

While the men were talking, Rachel and Chloe had followed Sharon Sinclair elsewhere. The children had also been taken by a nanny to get something to eat.

The women could faintly overhear their conversation. Tristan wasn’t just a gossip; he really was asking for trouble.

Jason looked away. Recalling the way Rachel had just looked at Tristan, he suddenly felt a sense of relief. He said, "I get the feeling Evelynn isn’t that into you. Did you threaten her or something? Force her into this?"

Tristan replied, "With an imagination like that, it’s a pity you’re not a screenwriter."

"Hah, keep pretending!"

"What are you all talking about?"

A deep, resonant voice came from outside.

The men turned to see another man walking in.

"Adrian, you’re here."

Rachel, Sharon Sinclair, and the others had just sat down.

"Cousin."

Hearing the familiar voice, Rachel Royce couldn’t help but pause. She looked up and saw Bianca Lowe approaching.

Bianca Lowe was wearing a tailored, slim-fitting satin long dress. Her long, straight black hair was down, giving her a gentle and elegant air. Following behind her was another young woman in a formal gown.

Seeing Bianca Lowe, Sharon Sinclair said, "Bianca, come over here."

Bianca walked forward, her eyes landing on Rachel Royce.

Sharon introduced her to Rachel. "This is my cousin, Bianca Lowe."

’I never would have thought Bianca Lowe was a cousin to the Sinclairs,’ Rachel mused. ’Although the Sinclair Family isn’t on the same level as the Sterling or Fitzwilliam families in Kingsland, they are definitely a top-tier wealthy family. It just goes to show how deep Bianca Lowe’s family background is.’
