In the tea house, it was always the King of Chu speaking, and Su Yunjin never responded with a word. The King of Chu didn’t seem to need Su Yunjin to answer either. He spoke slowly by himself, and at first, Su Yunjin was very averse to his voice and words, not wanting to hear an extra word. Later on, as the King of Chu spoke to the end, Su Yunjin found that she could actually listen quietly to him.
The King of Chu kept talking like that, and Su Yunjin kept listening. Later, the King of Chu suddenly drained the tea in his cup in one gulp.
"Miss Su, you may leave! I will instruct my people to let you go!" The King of Chu suddenly agreed to let her leave, and Su Yunjin was momentarily surprised.
The King of Chu no longer looked at Su Yunjin but instead turned his gaze outside the window.
After her initial surprise, although she was astonished as to why the King of Chu suddenly agreed to let her leave, Su Yunjin did not inquire further. She stood up, intending to depart.
Upon hearing Su Yunjin rise to leave, the King of Chu immediately poured himself a cup of wine from the table and gulped it down.
This wine was extremely strong, burning as it went down.
Typically, a person would feel overwhelmed with just a small sip of such wine, yet the King of Chu downed a cupful all at once.
Su Yunjin walked to the door, and sure enough, someone had already opened it for her.
Without pausing, Su Yunjin walked straight out of the room.
After Su Yunjin left, the woman in red appeared again, and Su Yunjin looked at the woman in front of her.
Thinking of how she had just been deceived by this woman, she couldn’t help but feel furious!
"Madam Gu, don’t blame me. I was entrusted by someone to faithfully carry out their task!" The woman in red said with a smile, adding, "About what happened before, it was wrong of me to deceive you. If I have offended you, my apologies to you here, madam!"
The woman in red was one of the King of Chu’s people, and Su Yunjin didn’t want to say much to her. After she finished speaking, Su Yunjin said nothing and directly bypassed the woman in red to leave!
The woman in red didn’t try to stop Su Yunjin, just watched her leave.
Hong Wu had initially accompanied Su Yunjin, but had left temporarily due to some urgent business and couldn’t find Su Yunjin upon returning!
Realizing Su Yunjin was missing, Hong Wu immediately started searching everywhere.
Su Yunjin stepped out of the tea house, and Hong Wu, who had been looking in numerous places, suddenly spotted her.
Hong Wu rushed over at once, "Madam, are you alright? Where did you just go? I’ve been looking for you several times but couldn’t find you!"
Before Su Yunjin could speak, Hong Wu noticed the woman in red.
"Who are you?" Hong Wu scrutinized the woman in red not far away with a hostile look, his eyes full of vigilance.
Su Yunjin hadn’t suffered any harm today, and since she was fine, she didn’t want Hong Wu to cause more trouble, especially since the King of Chu had many experts around him. Even though Hong Wu’s martial skills were not weak, two fists are hard to fight against four hands.
If a fight broke out, Hong Wu would surely suffer.
So before Hong Wu and the woman in red could start fighting, Su Yunjin quickly called him away.
"Hong Wu, let’s go. I don’t know that person! I still need to go to the winery, accompany me there now!"
Su Yunjin called Hong Wu away but didn’t go to the winery.
Hong Wu thought Su Yunjin had forgotten and reminded her, "Madam, weren’t we going to the winery? This is the way back to the manor, not towards the winery!"
Saying she should go to the winery was just an offhand excuse.
"Forget it, let’s just go back now!"
