Chapter 117: Mini Golf (3)
- Hole Seven -
A pirate ship.
Cannons.
Ramps.
Wooden bridges.
Three different elevation changes.
This was considered one of Universal Mini Golf’s signature holes.
Yun Wanhe looked impressed.
"Interesting."
He carefully analyzed every angle.
Then...
Tap.

The ball climbed one ramp.
Dropped onto another.
Rolled across a tiny bridge.
Banked off a cannon.
Dropped into the cup.
The spectators applauded.
Someone shouted,
"Professional!"
Shen Tian stepped up.
"Looks complicated."
He swung.
The ball completely ignored the intended route.
Instead...
It hit a pirate barrel.
Bounced onto the mast.
Rolled across the decorative sail.
Dropped onto the bridge.
Hit the cannon...
Then fell directly into the hole.
"..."
"..."
One child pointed.
"Dad! Can we do that?"
"No."
. . .
- Hole Eight -
This hole featured four rotating platforms.
Each rotated independently.
A wrong angle would send the ball flying backward.
Everyone took multiple strokes.
Even Chi Lingxi needed four.
Meng Lan laughed after hers bounced off three times.
"My turn is a disaster..."
Then...
Yun Wanhe.
His eyes followed every rotating platform.
Every rhythm.
Every movement.
"Now!"
Tap.
The ball threaded perfectly through every moving section.
Without touching a single obstacle.
One stroke.
The audience burst into applause once more.
Several people even began chanting.
"Blue shirt!"
"Blue shirt!"
Others answered.
"Blond guy!"
"Blond guy!"
The course had somehow turned into a sporting event.
Shen Tian walked over.
"That’s a lot of spinning."
He swung.
The ball struck the very first rotating platform.
It launched into the air.
Gasps filled the crowd.
The ball landed directly on the second platform.
Was flung onto the third.
Then the fourth.
Then...
Dropped perfectly into the cup.
"..."
Silence.
Absolute silence.
Finally...
Someone whispered,
"Physics just resigned."
Even Yun Wanhe stared speechlessly.
. . .
- Hole Nine -
The last and longest hole in the entire standard course.
Steep hills.
Water.
Moving bridges.
Three separate elevation changes.
It was infamous for ruining perfect scorecards.
Yun Wanhe inhaled deeply.
His eyes sharpened.
[I refuse...]
[I absolutely refuse...]
He focused harder than ever before.
This time...
He wasn’t trying to impress anyone.
He simply wanted...
To beat Shen Tian.
He swung.
The ball traveled flawlessly.
Bridge.
Hill.
Bank shot.
Ramp.
Final curve.
Plunk.
Two strokes.
The crowd erupted into thunderous applause.
"Best score today!"
"That’s insane!"
"Two strokes?!"
Yun Wanhe clenched his fist.
"Finally.... Finally..."
[A score this man couldn’t beat.]
He turned around confidently.
"Your turn."
Shen Tian looked toward the course.
"Looks long."
He yawned.
Then...
He hit the ball.
Not hard.
Not soft.
Just...
Casually.
The ball rolled.
Crossed the first bridge.
Hit a wall.
Bounced onto a second ramp.
Skipped across the water using decorative stones.
Rolled backward down a hill.

Circled around the outer edge.
Everyone thought it had failed.
Then...
The ball found an unseen slope.
Curved behind the final obstacle...
And...
Plunk.
One stroke.
Hole-in-one.
"..."
"..."
"..."
The entire course went dead silent.
Even the birds seemed to stop chirping.
Yun Wanhe’s eye twitched.
Then another.
His hand tightened around his putter.
Crack.
The grip bent.
His shoulders trembled.
Veins bulged across his forehead.
"No..."
He took one step forward.
"No..."
Another step.
"NO!"
His voice echoed across the entire course.
"I DON’T ACCEPT THIS!"
Everyone jumped.
His breathing had become ragged.
"I have perfect control over force! I SHOULD NOT BE LOSING..."
His eyes locked onto Shen Tian.
"To you."
The air suddenly became tense.
The surrounding spectators instinctively backed away.
Even the heroines watched silently.
Shen Tian simply tilted his head.
"You okay?"
That single sentence...
Nearly made Yun Wanhe cough blood.
He pointed toward the far side of the course.
"One more."
Everyone followed his finger.
Beyond the standard nine-hole course...
Sat an isolated attraction.
A sign stood in front of it.
- SPECIAL CHALLENGE -
- THE DRAGON’S MAZE -
- Hole 10 -
Only one hole.
The hardest course in Universal Mini Golf.
A sign beneath it read:
- Current Hole-in-One Record: 0 -
- Best Score Ever: 7 Strokes -
Yun Wanhe’s eyes burned with fighting spirit.
"I challenge you. Forget the scorecards. Forget the previous holes. One final hole. Winner takes everything."
The crowd collectively gasped.
Every pair of eyes slowly turned toward Shen Tian.
Shen Tian looked toward the impossible-looking course...
Then smiled.
"Sure."
Shen Tian twirled the putter in his hand before resting it over his shoulder.
"Lead the way."
Yun Wanhe turned immediately.
Without another word...
He strode toward the special course.
The crowd eagerly followed behind.
Within moments...
Nearly everyone inside Universal Mini Golf had gathered around Hole Ten.
Even employees abandoned the front desk.
One of them unlocked the small gate leading into the challenge course.
"You two are really going to attempt this?"
He scratched his head.
"I’ve worked here for almost ten years. I’ve never seen anyone beat it."
Another employee nodded.
"The course designer was... a little crazy. It’s less about mini golf and more about surviving emotional damage."
Everyone looked toward the course.
Silence immediately fell.
Unlike the previous holes...
This one looked almost absurd.
The course stretched nearly three times longer than a normal hole.
Ancient Chinese architecture decorated the sides.
Stone dragons wrapped around towering pillars.
Moving bridges continuously shifted positions.
Rotating walls opened and closed every few seconds.
Small waterfalls crossed the path.
Several sections disappeared beneath tunnels before reappearing elsewhere.
Near the end...
A massive mechanical dragon slowly circled the cup itself.
Its tail continuously swept around the hole.
Only during a tiny opening...
Less than half a second...
Could a ball actually enter.
Shen Tian raised an eyebrow.
"Okay. This actually looks kind of ridiculous."
The employee laughed awkwardly.
"It is. We’ve had professional players come here. Nobody has ever made a hole-in-one. The closest anyone got was bouncing off the dragon’s nose."
Yun Wanhe stared at the course.
Then...
A smile slowly appeared.
"Interesting. Finally... A challenge worthy of this Immortal Emperor."
His clothes lightly fluttered slightly as Qi silently circulated through his meridians.
His vision sharpened.
Every moving obstacle...
Every rotation...
Every opening...
Every angle...
Everything became infinitely slower inside his mind.
[The dragon rotates every 4.8 seconds.]
[The bridge shifts every 2.1.]
[The wall opens every 1.7.]

[The waterfall slightly alters the ball’s speed.]
[The final tail sweeps every 0.46 seconds.]
Thousands of calculations flooded through his consciousness.
Finally...
His eyes opened.
[I have solved it.]
He slowly walked to the starting position.
The crowd instinctively became silent.
Even children stopped talking.
Yun Wanhe lowered his stance.
The putter lined up behind the ball.
His breathing completely disappeared.
For several seconds...
Nobody moved.
Then...
Tap.
The ball shot forward.
Not too hard.
Not too soft.
Perfect.
It rolled across the opening straightaway.
Reached the first moving bridge...
Exactly as it aligned.
Crossed.
The rotating wall opened.
The ball slipped through with barely a finger’s width to spare.
Gasps echoed from the audience.
"It made it!"
"No way..."
The ball entered the underground tunnel.
Seconds later...
It emerged from the opposite side.
Still perfectly centered.
The waterfall splashed across it.
The speed barely changed.
Yun Wanhe remained motionless.
His eyes never blinked.
The ball curved around the stone dragon.
Crossed another bridge.
Threaded between two rotating pillars.
The mechanical dragon ahead slowly circled the cup.
Its tail swung.
Once.
Twice.
Three times.
The ball approached.
The entire crowd unconsciously held their breath.
"Come on..."
"Come on..."
The tail lifted.
The opening appeared.
The ball rolled toward the cup...
Then...
Clink.
It struck the dragon’s tail.
The tail had begun descending a fraction of a second earlier than expected.
The ball ricocheted sideways.
It spun around the cup...
Circled it twice...
Then finally dropped in.
Plunk.
Four strokes.
"..."
"..."
"..."
Silence.
Then...
Thunderous applause.
"FOUR?!"
"He shattered the course record!"
"The previous best was seven!"
"That’s unbelievable!"
Even the employees stared at the scoreboard.
The electronic display flashed.
- NEW COURSE RECORD -
- 4 STROKES -
Yun Wanhe slowly exhaled.
A satisfied smile spread across his face as he muttered under his breath:
"As expected. Even Heaven itself cannot stop this Immortal Emperor forever."
He turned toward Shen Tian.
His confidence had completely returned.
"There. I’ve done everything humanly possible."
His smile widened.
"If you can beat that... I’ll admit defeat. But you can’t. No one can."
The crowd nodded.
Four strokes already seemed impossible.
Beating it...
Was unimaginable.
All the heroines were worried...
Shen Tian slowly walked toward the tee box.
He looked over the course.
"...Hm."
He scratched his cheek.
"So I just need three?"
Yun Wanhe chuckled.
"You won’t even get close."
Shen Tian nodded absentmindedly.
"Probably."
He rested the putter behind the ball.
The entire course fell silent once more.
Not a single sound remained.
Even the heroines instinctively leaned forward.
Shen Tian stared at the mechanical dragon.
Then...
At the moving bridges.
Then...
At the waterfalls.
Finally...
A small smile appeared on his face.
"I see it."
Not a line.
Not a trick shot.
Not even the intended route.
There was...
Another path.
One that the course designer had never expected anyone to find.
He quietly adjusted the angle of his putter.
Only a single degree.
Yun Wanhe frowned.
"...What is he aiming at?"

The direction wasn’t toward the first bridge.
It wasn’t toward the tunnel.
It wasn’t even toward the course.
"..."
Shen Tian smiled.
"This might not work."
Then...
He swung.
