Li Qing left the hospital and deliberately waited in the lobby for Lu Furong and Sister Hu.
When he came out, those two were still crouched under the bed.
He reckoned they would take a while to come down.
About half an hour later, a woman dressed in red, Lu Furong, appeared at the stairway with Sister Hu, both laughing and chatting.
They seemed to be in a good mood.
But as soon as she caught sight of Li Qing from a distance, Lu Furong’s face instantly turned cold.
Li Qing touched his nose and thought, this one, once she pulls up her pants, she doesn’t recognize anyone anymore!
"What are you doing here?" Lu Furong asked with a displeased face, as if she was just short of staring at Li Qing through her nostrils.
Li Qing chuckled, "Naturally, I’m here waiting for you both. What else could I be doing?"
"You don’t need to wait. We were quite comfortable hiding under the bed, not fit to get on it," Lu Furong huffed.
Li Qing knew that she was upset because he had sought Xu Keqing and not her.
Women need to be coaxed, and if you neglect them for too long, they all become resentful.
"A friend of mine was hurt and brought here. I didn’t intentionally seek Xu Keqing; it just so happened along the way," Li Qing explained.
Lu Furong’s eyelids drooped slightly, "You don’t need to explain to me. We’re not that close."
Although her mouth claimed no need for it, Li Qing’s proactive explanation certainly made her expression noticeably softer.

Li Qing chuckled, this woman who says one thing but feels another.
"Has Secretary Zhou come back from his business trip?" Li Qing asked.
"If you’re coming, it has to be tonight. He might be back tomorrow," Lu Furong stated bluntly.
Her words were harsh, but Li Qing could see that she had pretty much calmed down.
Li Qing nodded, "I’ll go have dinner later, then call you. Shall we go back together?"
"Do you think my cooking is terrible, or that the pots at my place are poisonous?" Lu Furong’s eyebrows shot up again.
Li Qing was instantly at a loss for words, "I made a prior arrangement, probably President Lü is already waiting."
"You mean Lü Changxi?" Lu Furong asked.
Li Qing nodded, "We’ve partnered up on a wine product, which is why I’ve been a bit busy recently."
"Qingzi, you better hurry up then. We will come pick you up later; it’s a good chance for me and Furong to go shopping," Sister Hu interjected appropriately.
"Go ahead," Lu Furong said with a light huff, "if I find out that you’re actually going to see another woman, don’t even think about touching me or my cousin ever again. Did you by any chance fail to recognize the other person was my cousin earlier?"
"With such a distinctive feature as Sister Hu’s, how could I possibly not recognize her?" Li Qing laughed, "The shape of your hips may indeed be very similar, not so easy to tell apart, but there I could recognize at a glance."
Sister Hu’s face turned red in an instant, "Alright, this is not the place to talk about such things. Let’s just get on with what we need to do."
Li Qing nodded, "Then I’ll call you guys later."
The three parted ways at the hospital, and Li Qing rode his rickety tricycle to Lü Family Restaurant.
Every time he got on this shabby little vehicle, he would remember that he really needed to get a driver’s license soon.
But every time he got off, he’d quickly forget the matter.
There were just too many various and chaotic things on his mind.

As Li Qing walked into Lü Family Restaurant, he was nearly lost amid the fervent greetings.
He was now a president too.

He wasn’t very comfortable hugging and cuddling with another man, feeling awkward all over.
"Qingzi, let’s go, let’s eat. I’ve prepared the drinks for you, we’re not going home until we’re drunk today," Lü Zong laughed and said.
The group entered a private room, and as soon as they sat down, dishes that had been prepared in advance began to arrive one after another.
The servers were all youthful and pretty girls, dressed in a uniform of blue cheongsams, a sight that made Li Qing feel somewhat dazed.

The door to the private room was pushed open again, and Shangguan Yu, in a black silk evening dress, walked in holding up the hem of her dress, a charming smile on her lips. She greeted everyone in turn and then naturally sat down beside Li Qing.
She was an exceptionally delicate woman and it was obvious that she had dressed up carefully today, almost making Li Qing’s eyes pop out.
He looked over curiously, glancing towards Lü Zong on his left.
"I’ll pour this first glass for you, but it goes without saying that your secretary should do the rest. You can’t expect me to be at your service the whole time, right?" Lü Zong chuckled.
Li Qing smiled faintly, thinking there sure are a lot of sayings, but do you really think I don’t know what you’re up to?
It’s as if he’s peddling something, but in fact, he’s just trying to plant someone by my side.
