Seeing that it was the familiar Officer Wang again, Li Qing couldn’t help but laugh.
"Officer Wang, did you place a tracker on me or something? How come every time there’s trouble related to me, you’re the one who shows up!"
Wang Baichuan smiled faintly and said, "In the past, that was indeed a coincidence, but today I volunteered to lead the team here."
"I was actually planning to swing by to see you, to ask when you’d be free to go over those cases with us again, so we could find a reasonable explanation to issue a notice. I didn’t expect such a coincidence, that you would actually be the perpetrator."
"Be careful with your words, this has nothing to do with me. I saved someone, I didn’t kill anyone!" Li Qing said firmly.
"Also, you’re planning to ’swing by’ late at night to see me? Do you have something wrong with you? I do sleep, you know!"
"Coming up with a suitable explanation is your job, don’t add to my workload."
Wang Baichuan chuckled and said, "You guys usually are active at night, so I thought you’d be free then."
"Give me a break, I’m not some lonely soul or stray ghost, wandering around at night." Li Qing said exasperatedly.
This guy had such a deep misunderstanding of their profession.
Qin Wenjun watched Li Qing and Officer Wang interact with an extreme familiarity, nearly losing control of her expression.
"Shouldn’t you be... arresting someone?" she asked with immense nervousness.
Wang Baichuan hesitated for a moment, then looked at Li Qing, "Did you really do it?"
"It wasn’t me, I just told you," Li Qing said helplessly, "I came tonight to look for this fellow behind me, then I came down and saw this old lady hung up on the tree, and she got so confused that she insisted I was the one who did it."

He couldn’t make the old Apricot Tree speak, but his cheap master or Dian Chunqiu certainly would have a way.
As long as the old Apricot Tree gave testimony, he’d be off the hook.
"What witness do you have? You’re just talking nonsense!" Qin Wenjun looked at Li Qing suspiciously and demanded, "Qingzi, be honest with me, have you taken something shady? You’ve been speaking and acting all topsy-turvy tonight, it’s not normal."

He had noticed during his previous qi-gazing that the Apricot Tree was surrounded by a green aura interspersed with threads of purple qi.
These things are hard to fake and prove that the sentient old tree, not only has it never harmed anyone, but it also has some merit.
"Good?!" Wang Baichuan asked incredulously.
Li Qing nodded, patted the ancient bark of the Apricot Tree, and murmured as if to himself, "You wouldn’t be hiding your aura and deceiving me, would you?"
The old Apricot Tree rustled, conveying a vague intention, "My lord... sees clearly."
"Officer Wang, why don’t you have someone catch Yu Haizhu first?" Li Qing said indifferently.

The man shuddered inside, nodded quickly, and hurried off with his team.
At this moment, Qin Wenjun was even more confused than the policeman who had just asked the question.

The purple lightning confirmed that the old apricot tree was indeed a good tree, but there was also something big lurking in the riverbed.
In the moment the purple lightning rolled away, that locust tree took off running, leaving a large pit in the ground.
It had even avoided the strike of the purple lightning.
