Chapter 2434: Chapter 2433: Let’s Talk
To everyone’s surprise, rolling black clouds suddenly appeared in the sky, the layers churning in a way that was clearly abnormal.
Almost in an instant, Ling Feng and Feiyan shot up into midair.
At the same time, many Fourth Grade Disciples of Lingjian Mountain also rose into the sky.
It was very likely that an enemy was attacking, so everyone who noticed something off got ready to fight.
The dark clouds that covered half the sky suddenly halted over the foot of the mountain. Seeing this, Ling Feng said, "Could it be people from the Dark Domain?"
"Should be."
Feiyan nodded. "Last time you beat them so badly they ran with their tails between their legs. It’s been quite a few days; they should be reacting by now."
"That was one nasty battle," Ling Feng said.
That said, he didn’t look tense at all. On the contrary, his face was completely relaxed.
Feiyan glanced at him, then sighed. "You’d better be a bit more cautious. The Dark Domain isn’t as simple as you think."
"I know."
Ling Feng smiled. "They’ve got backup, and I’ve got plenty of mine too."

Just as the two were talking, a long, eerie cry came from within the clouds. Then a monster with huge wings but a body like a fish burst out of the cloud layer!
The size of that beast was no joke; it was almost as big as the Ling Yun.
Seeing such a gigantic monster appear, everyone on Lingjian Mountain was shaken.
Ordinary citizens in the surrounding cities scattered in panic, all bolting back to their homes.
The Fourth Grade Disciples who were ready to fight didn’t look good either, nerves stretched tight.
Ling Feng narrowed his eyes, his brows knitting slightly. Inwardly he thought, What’s with this, trying to play mind games?
In his view, the formation the other side had put up was more about intimidation than anything.
If we really talk pure offensive power, that beast might not even be a match for the God Slayer Saber!
Even if the God Slayer Saber can’t take it down in one strike, he still had all those Magic Crystal Warriors and ships.
Just rush it with a group beatdown, and this big guy would die all the same!
Ling Feng was utterly calm, watching with a laid-back expression as the monster circled a few times in the air, then flew over toward them.
Very soon, the monster halted in midair, and then a tiny black shadow appeared above its head!
The black shadow flickered several times, and in the blink of an eye it was right in front of Ling Feng.
The two sides were fifty meters apart. The newcomer was tall and thin, dressed in black from head to toe, wearing a black leather mask that only revealed a pair of eyes.
After a brief stare-down, the man asked, "You’re Ling Feng?"
"What, you don’t know what I look like, yet still managed to pick me out from all these Fourth Grade Disciples?" Ling Feng asked with a grin.
"Your aura is very distinctive. I could feel it."
The other man spoke.
His voice was hoarse, sounding like a young man. From the fact that he could control such a massive flying beast, Ling Feng knew this guy’s status in the Dark Domain had to be high.
So he smiled and asked, "You’re pretty capable then. You’re from the Dark Domain, right?"
"That’s right."
The man nodded and said in a deep voice, "I’m the number one warrior of the Dark Domain—Wan Rendi, ’Enemy of Ten Thousand’."
"Nice name."
Ling Feng chuckled, then asked, "So you came looking for me about something?"
"Of course."

Wan Rendi narrowed his eyes and growled, "Last time you slaughtered countless warriors of our Dark Domain. I’m here to settle the score with you!"
"Oh? Just you and that mutant fish behind you?"
Ling Feng laughed, then said, "If that’s all, I suggest you give up now—or better yet, cut to the chase. No need to keep trying to put pressure on me."
"..."
Wan Rendi froze on the spot.
He had absolutely not expected Ling Feng to answer like that.
After a moment of dazed silence, he finally asked, "What do you mean by that?"
"You’re not really here to settle a score. You’re just trying to grab some psychological advantage, then sit high above and negotiate terms with me, aren’t you?" Ling Feng said with a smile.
Wan Rendi was speechless again.
Only now did he realize that Ling Feng wasn’t just frighteningly strong—his wits were on a whole other level too!
After a brief silence, still somewhat unwilling, he asked, "On what basis do you claim I’m here to negotiate terms instead of settling the score?"
"Simple. If you were really here to settle the score, then the moment you saw me there’d be no need for all this chatter. Enemies meet, their eyes go blood-red—you’d just start swinging."
Ling Feng shrugged and went on, "Besides, since you’re supposedly the number one warrior, you should know my strength is no joke. If you really came alone just to settle accounts with me, that only proves you’re ridiculously reckless."
"You..."
Wan Rendi was so thoroughly roasted he couldn’t get a word out, because Ling Feng had nailed every point.
He drew in a deep breath and said in a low voice, "Very good. You really are a fine opponent."
With that, he raised his hand. Without any visible movement, the monster in the sky suddenly vanished.
Even the dark clouds began to slowly disperse, and the sky turned clear again.
Ling Feng hovered quietly in the air, silently watching the man, waiting for him to speak.
After a short pause for thought, Wan Rendi said to Ling Feng, "I do indeed want to talk with you. There are too many people and too many eyes here. How about we find someplace deserted?"
"Come on, are you trying to make everyone think I’ve betrayed Lingjian Mountain? How low do you take my IQ to be?"
Ling Feng let out a wry laugh, then said, "If we’re talking, it’s either here or over at the Elders of Lingjian Mountain."
"Can’t we pick another place? Your home would do too," Wan Rendi said.
Ling Feng was speechless. He gave the man a look. "What exactly are you trying to say? What’s the difference between talking at my home and talking here?"
"Of course there’s a difference. The vibe is totally different," Wan Rendi said.

Ling Feng shook his head. "Sorry, I can’t agree to that request. I’m a Disciple of Lingjian Mountain. I’m not about to invite someone from a hostile force into my home."
"Since when did we become a hostile force? Up till now, we’ve been like separate wells that don’t mix their water, okay?" Wan Rendi said, exasperated.
Ling Feng made a small sound of realization, then laughed. "Even if we weren’t before, the moment you started sending people to attack me, we were."
"Ling Feng, let him go to your home. Don’t talk here."
Ling Feng had just finished speaking when an Elder’s voice suddenly sounded in his mind.
Hearing this instruction, Ling Feng was a bit stunned, but he still nodded. "Alright, got it."
Then he said to Wan Rendi, "Since you’re at least showing some sincerity, come with me."
He turned, then led Feiyan and the others away, returning to his home.
Unexpectedly, Wan Rendi couldn’t possibly have a key, yet he still flew straight over and landed in Ling Feng’s courtyard.
He glanced around at the surroundings, then sprawled casually into a seat. "You’re already a Second Grade Disciple at Lingjian Mountain, so why are you still living in this run-down house?"
"Because I like it."
Ling Feng was a bit exasperated by his comment and shot back without the slightest politeness.
