Chapter 2428: Chapter 2427: Subjugation
The shell underfoot is very hard, standing on it feels like standing on a concrete floor.
At this moment, Little Fei saw the sand scorpion give up its attack and return with Feiyan.
After everyone landed on the back of the sand scorpion, Ling Feng asked in a deep voice, "Now tell me, how many years have you lived in this Desert Sea!"
"A hundred thousand years," said the sand scorpion.
"That long?"
Ling Feng was stunned, his eyes wide open.
"What exactly are you trying to do?" asked the sand scorpion.
"Nothing, I didn’t come here looking for you, I had other things to do, but I didn’t expect to encounter such a powerful being like you."
Ling Feng spoke while his eyes darted around, pondering how to subdue this creature.
He knew this was almost impossible, because the sand scorpion had developed Spiritual Wisdom first, so it definitely wouldn’t want to be coerced into being someone’s minion.
If it were before refining a Beast Soul, there might be some possibility.
So after some thought, Ling Feng said to the sand scorpion, "My purpose is to find something, but I didn’t expect to meet you. The energy contained in your inner core is really strong, so I think it’s a good thing and I’d like to take it!"
"That’s mine, if you dare take it, I’ll fight you to the death!" the sand scorpion immediately replied.
"Fighting and killing is really bad, I actually have a better way to solve the problem, so that you not only get the inner core back but also have more benefits waiting for you!" Ling Feng said.
He looked just like a creepy uncle trying to scam candy from a child.
Although the sand scorpion had intelligence, it was clearly straightforward, and so it asked, "What method?"
"I need to assess your true strength and conduct some research on you. If you cooperate, the inner core will be returned to you!" Ling Feng said.
"You’re not going to hurt me, are you?" the sand scorpion asked.
"Of course not, I’m the most upright person!" Ling Feng said solemnly.
"Alright."
The sand scorpion responded straightforwardly, "I can agree to that!"
"Great!"
Ling Feng nodded and immediately summoned Tian Lian.
The two of them were already so connected that words weren’t needed; they could communicate in the mind.
So Ling Feng said, "Use your Lifebound Cauldron to refine it for me, make it become my ally!"
"Master, this sand scorpion is too powerful and so big, I’m afraid my ability is insufficient, but I can try!" Tian Lian said.
"If it doesn’t succeed, will it cause you any harm?" Ling Feng hurriedly asked.
"Not really, I’ll just exhaust my Spiritual Power and need to rest well for a while," Tian Lian said.
"That’s good, you should try, I think capturing this thing will be very useful!" Ling Feng said.
"Alright."
Tian Lian nodded, her form immediately rising.
Ling Feng jumped onto Little Fei’s back and went into the distance.
Moments later, the Bronze Cauldron was summoned, and a golden light enveloped most of the sand scorpion’s body.
Its size was too large for the Bronze Cauldron to completely cover.
As the golden light flickered, the sand scorpion’s body began to tremble, seemingly struggling.
Ling Feng saw this and reminded Tian Lian, "If you feel it’s not working, retreat immediately, be careful to protect yourself!"
"Okay, I understand."
As the golden light gradually intensified, the sand scorpion’s struggles became more violent, and then it let out a deafening roar, "Damn human, you actually tricked me!"
Ling Feng had a giddy look, thinking, I did trick you, so what, you can’t escape the golden light’s control now!
At this moment, the golden light was so dazzling that it was impossible to look directly at it.
Yet the sand scorpion was still struggling violently, dispersing the surrounding sand.
Ling Feng suddenly became tense, feeling that Tian Lian seemed to have reached her limit, and this sand scorpion wasn’t easy to subdue!
Just as this thought crossed his mind, the golden light suddenly disappeared!
Then, he saw Tian Lian falling from mid-air!
"Not good!"
Ling Feng shouted, flying over immediately!
The distance between them was hundreds of meters, and Ling Feng exerted all his strength as he watched Tian Lian fall.
Right as she was about to hit the ground, Ling Feng arrived first and caught her!
Seeing Tian Lian’s eyes half-closed and looking weak, Ling Feng felt a pain in his heart and hurriedly asked, "How do you feel now?"
"I’m okay, just a bit tired and need to rest,"
Tian Lian softly said, and then continued, "Send me to the Jade Token Space, it’s more suitable for me there."
"Alright."
Ling Feng’s heart relaxed, knowing she was okay; he quickly sent her into the Jade Token Space.
Turning around, he saw the sand scorpion lying motionless on the ground and was stunned for a moment before slowly flying over, asking in a deep voice, "Hey, what’s wrong with you?"
"Master, following your orders," the sand scorpion said.
"Huh?"
Ling Feng’s heart was delighted, raising his eyebrows!
This stance, Tian Lian refined it at the last moment, and it became his ally!
So Ling Feng quickly said, "Transform first, shrink your form!"
"Yes, master."
The sand scorpion said, and began to shrink.
Moments later, its body had shrunk to the size of a truck.
Ling Feng came closer and asked in a deep voice, "Is this your original form?"
"No, the previous form was my original form, this is the transformed form," the sand scorpion said.
"Goodness."
Ling Feng was taken aback, then chuckled, "Does your transformed form really shrink?"
"Yes, master."
The sand scorpion said calmly.
"Alright, since that’s the case, maintain this form, otherwise I’m afraid the Jade Pendant Space won’t fit you!"
Ling Feng said, then turned to Ghost Dragon: "You come back too, go recover, you’ve worked hard."
"I’m alright, master,"
Ghost Dragon said, flying back.
Afterward, Ling Feng sent both it and the sand scorpion into the Jade Pendant Space.
Right then, Little Fei had already returned with Feiyan, and as Ling Feng landed on Little Fei’s back, Feiyan immediately asked, "Why did you accept it, you should have asked if it knows where Mu Di’s body is."
"That’s not urgent, I want the sand scorpion to stay in the Jade Pendant Space for a while. Although it was refined, it’s not stable enough yet; with time, it can truly submit to me!" Ling Feng said.
"I see?"
Feiyan was enlightened, then said, "Are we going back now?"
"Let’s go back, the night is too deep, I don’t feel like searching for Mu Di, we’ll wait until dawn," Ling Feng said.
"Okay."
Feiyan didn’t say anything else.
After Little Fei took them back, it dove into the sand again, while Ling Feng and Feiyan entered the tent.
After such a toss-up, neither of them were sleepy, so Ling Feng put his arm around her shoulder, grinning as he asked, "Before dawn, we still have some time..."
