Chapter 2397: Chapter 2396: Entering
Ling Feng paused for a moment, then turned to Xiao Xiao: "Do you feel this way?"
"No."
Xiao Xiao shook her head and continued, "This is clearly affected by the light signals, feeling the emotions in the signal."
"Oh, is there any way to block it?" Ling Feng asked.
"Unless you don’t look at it and avoid being exposed to the light," Xiao Xiao said.
Ling Feng thought for a moment and said to Feiyan, "How about I send you into the Jade Token Space, stop looking at this light, it affects your mood and drains your energy."
"Okay."
Feiyan felt he was right, nodded, and continued, "Then I’ll avoid it for now."
Very quickly, she entered the Jade Token Space.
Ling Feng and Xiao Xiao sat down, watching the metallic floor below shine with brilliant light, and time passed like that.
By the next morning, Little Hei was summoned to continue working, preparing to clear the soil from the bottom of this oval-shaped spaceship bit by bit.
If they still couldn’t find the entrance, Ling Feng planned to store the spaceship into the Space-capturing Mirror and take it to the Divine Mountain base on Shallow Blue Star.
Once there, they would naturally find a way to enter it.
However, unexpectedly, before noon, Little Hei emerged from the ground and told Ling Feng that he had found a place that seemed to be an entrance.
Ling Feng, along with Xiao Xiao and Feiyan, jumped down and soon found a circular protrusion.
This protrusion covered an area of three to four square meters, and for the first time, Ling Feng saw a gap on this spaceship. The circular protrusion was embedded above.
After taking a few glances, Ling Feng nodded, "Great, now we just need to figure out how to open it!"
"Brother, you’re not thinking of forcing it open, are you?" Xiao Xiao asked.
Ling Feng looked at her, "What else? We don’t know any other way to open it!"
"It’s not like there isn’t one. Ling Feng, look at this indentation, what does it resemble?" Feiyan pointed with her hand.
Ling Feng glanced at it, his heart suddenly skipped a beat!
Then he looked at Feiyan blankly, "This, how can this be possible?"
"Possible or not, we’ll only know by trying," Feiyan said.
"Alright then."
Ling Feng nodded, and immediately took out the copper mirror Gao Shan had given him from his Space Ring!
He was startled earlier because he understood what Feiyan meant; the size and shape of that indentation were really similar to the copper mirror.
And Xiao Xiao, not aware of this object’s existence, asked in confusion, "What is this?"
"It was a gift from people on Paradise Island before."
Ling Feng said, feeling nervous and excited, and placed the copper mirror onto the indentation.
The result was a perfect fit!
Afterward, the three of them heard a ’hiss’ sound, and the protrusion moved slightly, then several streams of white smoke spewed from the gap!
"Wow, it really worked!"
Ling Feng was dumbfounded, unable to fathom that the copper mirror was the key to opening this entrance!
After several hissing sounds, the protrusion slowly moved outward, then slowly opened up.
A passage that could accommodate three or four people walking side by side appeared in front of them.
Without a second thought, Ling Feng flew straight in.
Xiao Xiao and Feiyan immediately followed him.
The three entered the interior of the spaceship, watching as the lights gradually turned on, revealing a corridor.
After exchanging glances, Ling Feng led the way, followed by Xiao Xiao and Feiyan, as they walked deeper into the corridor.
Before they had gone far, a huge space appeared in front of them. Upon entering, Ling Feng immediately recognized it as the control room of the spaceship.
Xiao Xiao quickly went to the dashboard and examined the buttons.
As she was studying how to start the spaceship, a deep voice suddenly asked faintly, "Who are you?"
"We are here to investigate, to figure out the mysteries of the colorful lights every night," Ling Feng said loudly.
"..."
The voice fell silent.
Ling Feng asked, "Who are you? Are you the intelligent system of this spaceship?"
"I am Photon, the designer of this spaceship," the voice said.
Ling Feng paused, "You’re still alive? It’s been over a hundred thousand years, hasn’t it?"
"I don’t understand your units of time; I’m not a biological entity like you. I am electronic life," Proton said.
Ling Feng acknowledged with a nod, roughly understanding its meaning. So-called electronic life is likely artificial intelligence.
So he didn’t ask more about this, but instead, he inquired, "Are there any life forms on this spaceship?"
Proton paused, somewhat melancholic, "No longer."
Indeed.
Ling Feng thought to himself that while a spaceship could last over a hundred thousand years, life forms couldn’t.
His current greatest goal was to extend human lifespan until achieving immortality.
But evidently, even aliens with advanced technology are remarkably fragile in the face of time.
With a tinge of disappointment, Ling Feng asked, "Then why do you continue to send out light signals?"
"I hope someone can find this place and witness the glory my master once created," Proton said.
Ling Feng, taken aback, quickly asked, "What glory?"
"Please follow me."
As soon as Proton finished speaking, a figure appeared before Ling Feng and them.
This was a holographic projection, and the person in the image was a tall individual whose facial features were slightly different from humans but not very much so.
Seeing this, Ling Feng couldn’t help but ask, "Excuse me, is this your master’s image?"
"Yes."
Proton only said two words, then the figure started to walk forward.
Ling Feng and the other two exchanged glances and immediately followed.
After leaving the control room, the three walked for a while down the corridor and then arrived at another enormous space.
If Ling Feng hadn’t known the entire appearance of the spaceship, he would have thought he was in space.
This room showcased the vastness of the Xing He, making one feel as if they were in outer space.
Ling Feng remained silent, quietly awaiting Proton’s next move.
Soon, the Xing He above flickered, and the image changed to a scarlet planet.
Next, a black spaceship appeared, and looking at it, one could tell it was the same spaceship they were on now.
While still a distance away, the spaceship emitted a red beam that struck the red planet, and then Ling Feng saw the planet disintegrate instantly!
"Uh..."
Ling Feng was speechless, thinking, what’s going on here? Is this person introducing his master’s achievements? Could this person be a cosmic war fanatic?
Did they destroy a planet without an explanation?
While still pondering, he suddenly saw a gigantic figure emerge from the disintegrated planet.
It was a colossal monster composed of red lava, its size rivaling half a planet.
Exposed to cosmic rays, it struggled for a moment and then died.
