Chapter 2390: Chapter 2389: Sea of Flowers
Feiyan hadn’t actually taken away all the metal, because she didn’t have that many containers on hand.
Although Ling Feng’s Space Bracelet had plastic buckets inside, after trying it they discovered that this metal was highly corrosive to plastic, so there was no way to store it.
And he didn’t have any porcelain bottles.
In the end they could only take a portion first, leaving the rest here for now and coming back for it later.
To prevent it from being stolen, Feiyan decided to leave that white-furred beast here, letting it guard the place for the time being, and when they came back later, they’d bring the metal and it back together.
After putting everything away, Feiyan said to Ling Feng, "We can go now."
"Alright!"
Ling Feng nodded, then said, "Next time you come here, you don’t need to bring me along, right?"
"Uh..."
Feiyan was stunned for a moment, then nodded. "Yeah, no need."
"Mm."
Ling Feng didn’t say anything else, and leaped up into the air.
Feiyan then left the white-furred beast behind and followed him up into the sky.
It was just a little past noon at this point, and Ling Feng was planning to head back to Lingjian Mountain, but Feiyan caught up to him and suddenly said, "It’s actually a bit early to go back now. Why don’t we go to another place first?"
"Where to?" Ling Feng asked.
"The Valley of Clouds. There won’t be any danger there," Feiyan said.
Ling Feng smiled. "Even if there is danger, it’s fine, I’m not afraid. Since you want to go, let’s go take a look. Lead the way!"
"Alright, thanks."
Feiyan nodded, changed direction, and flew along the ridge of the snow mountain.
Ling Feng followed behind, thinking that he wasn’t in a hurry to go back anyway, so he might as well see what this Valley of Clouds was like.
He still wasn’t clear on how vast Lingjian Mountain’s range really was. He had originally thought it was just that one mountain; now it seemed there were quite a lot of other places around.
Once they went back, he really should send out a Miniature Spaceship to properly survey this area.
Who knew, they might even discover some special resources.
Thinking of this, Ling Feng silently decided that once they got back, he would start preparations immediately.
They flew through the air behind Feiyan for a long time; only after more than two hours did she turn back and wave at Ling Feng.
By now Ling Feng had already seen that the snow mountains had come to an end, and a dark, shadowy mountain range appeared ahead.
Those mountains were even taller than the snow peaks here, yet there wasn’t a trace of snow on them, which was rather strange.
Feiyan flew toward that side, and Ling Feng followed behind. It didn’t take long for them to reach the foot of the range.
"We can’t fly any further ahead. We’ll have to go in on foot," Feiyan said.
Ling Feng was a bit puzzled. "Why can’t we fly?"
"There’s a restriction on this mountain. No flying creature can take off here."
"That powerful?"
Ling Feng looked astonished, then gave a wry smile. "Then the birds in this mountain must have it pretty rough."
"There are no birds in this mountain."
Feiyan said this, then pointed ahead. "That’s the entrance to the Valley of Clouds."
"Got it!"
Ling Feng nodded and stepped after her.
As they walked, Feiyan introduced, "The scenery here is excellent, you could call it a unique existence within Lingjian Mountain. But because it’s so far away, not many people come."
"Oh, so it’s a scenic spot?"
Ling Feng suddenly understood, then laughed. "I thought there was some good stuff inside we could pick up and haul back while we’re at it."
"No, the Valley of Clouds is full of all kinds of exotic flowers and plants, like an immortal realm. There aren’t any special treasures," Feiyan said.
"That’s fine too, we can just enjoy the scenery."
Ling Feng nodded.
Chatting as they walked, the two quickly arrived at the entrance of the valley.
It was a cleft between two mountains, just over two meters wide, forming a rather narrow strip of sky overhead.
Feiyan stepped inside, and Ling Feng followed her into the cleft, immediately feeling a wave of dampness.
The rock above their heads rose dozens of meters high, and walking through this slit felt quite eerie.
If someone had claustrophobia, they probably wouldn’t be able to handle walking here.
Ling Feng let his mind wander, thinking that with an entrance like this, what kind of scenery could there be inside?
But when he followed Feiyan through the cleft, rounded a jutting rock, and saw what lay ahead, his eyes suddenly went wide!
What a hidden paradise!
The narrow cleft opened up into an extremely broad plateau in the middle of the mountains, surrounded by Shan Feng, with a valley in the center that was several thousand meters wide.
Sunlight poured down as countless multicolored flowers swayed lightly in the breeze, giving off a rich fragrance.
Mist drifted above the valley, and wisps of white fog slowly flowed through the grass, really giving it the feel of an immortal realm in the Mortal World.
After his initial daze, Ling Feng looked at Feiyan and asked, "How did you find this place?"
"I didn’t know about it at first. I learned of it from the Thousand Mechanisms Scroll, and came here once before," Feiyan said.
"Oh, this place really is beautiful."
Ling Feng nodded, then said, "A place like this is clearly perfect for seclusion!"
"Yeah, I used to have that thought, but life isn’t mine to control. I can’t do it in the short term,"
Feiyan sighed, then said, "Come on, there’s even better scenery deeper in. Let’s go have a look!"
"Sure!"
Ling Feng nodded and stepped after her.
The two of them entered the forest one after the other. Flowers were blooming in riotous profusion all around, and with all these colors, Ling Feng felt as if he’d returned to spring.
Once they passed through the woods, the view suddenly opened up, revealing a sea of flowers ahead!
It truly was an ocean of blossoms, covering several hundred mu.
Ling Feng was stunned on the spot, murmuring, "Was this really formed naturally?"
"It should be. Anyway, I’ve never heard of there being any owner here."
Feiyan said this, then said to Ling Feng, "Wait for me a bit!"
With that, she ran into the sea of flowers.
At first Ling Feng didn’t know what she was going to do, but when he saw Feiyan bending down to pick flowers, he understood.
Sure enough, in no time at all Feiyan had made a floral wreath and set it on her head.
Seeing this, Ling Feng hurriedly pulled his phone out of the bracelet and started snapping photos of her like crazy!
Such a beautiful moment had to be captured on his phone.
Even though it was already deeply etched in his mind, having it recorded on his phone meant he could print it out later—this scene could already be called art.
Feiyan had no idea Ling Feng was taking photos of her, nor what he intended to do. After she came back with the wreath on her head, she said, "There’s an even more beautiful view at night. Let’s stay here for tonight, okay?"
"Of course, no problem!"
Ling Feng nodded, glanced around, and said, "I’ll go find a place to camp first!"
He quickly spotted an open patch of ground and walked over, ready to set up camp.
But just then a cough suddenly sounded from the distance, and a few black-clothed figures emerged from the trees!
