Chapter 2388: Chapter 2387: Monster
Feiyan was speechless, thinking to herself that Ling Feng really had a way of surprising people again and again!
How many times has he amazed me since that colorful glow at Trial Sword Rock?
Looking at Ling Feng’s followers, Feiyan sighed, "You’re really something."
"Don’t you have any pets or anything like that?" Ling Feng asked.
"No, I only have a sword, nothing else." Feiyan shook her head.
Ling Feng replied, "That’s something that depends on fate. If we encounter such a creature you mentioned, I can help you capture one, and let Tian Lian refine it for you."
"Is that possible?" Feiyan asked.
"Of course it is!"
Ling Feng nodded and continued, "But while refining them is easy, bringing them back is a bit tricky. You need something to store your pet in, or else bringing it back to Lingjian Mountain might cause quite a scene."
"No need to worry about that, I have a way."
Feiyan said.
"That’s good then."
Ling Feng nodded. Seeing that Ghost Dragon had already melted a football field-sized clearing on the mountainside, he said to Feiyan, "Let’s go take a look. Maybe we’ve found something."
"Okay!"
Feiyan nodded and immediately soared into the sky.
The two figures flew into the air and quickly reached that clearing.
The residual heat from the flames lingered, and among the rising steam, Feiyan exclaimed as she suddenly descended!
Seeing this, Ling Feng quickly followed and upon landing, saw a basin-sized stone with a small pool of red liquid in its hollow.
Feiyan approached it cautiously as if it were a treasure, even her footsteps grew lighter.
Seeing her like this, Ling Feng chuckled silently without saying a word.
Soon, Feiyan took out a porcelain bottle and used a small porcelain spoon to carefully scoop up the liquid.
Seeing her taking such care, Ling Feng curiously asked, "How much of this metal do you need?"
"Of course, the more, the better!"
Feiyan looked up and continued, "But if it’s enough, filling two of these bottles would be great."
"Oh, then give me one, and I’ll help you collect it. There seemed to be some more over there." Ling Feng said.
"Really?"
Feiyan’s eyes lit up at his words and quickly retrieved a porcelain bottle from her storage space.
Ling Feng took it, turned around, and went to another stone to carefully collect that red liquid.
In such a large area, the two of them found eight spots with that metal, and it took almost an hour to collect all the liquid.
And combined, it wasn’t even half a bottle.
So Ling Feng said, "Looks like we’re not going back today!"
"If you’re in a hurry, I can just collect one bottle first." Feiyan said.
"No rush, I have three days. This is just the first day. We can head back tomorrow night or the day after." Ling Feng smiled.
"Oh."
Feiyan nodded, thought for a moment, and said, "No matter what, I’ll remember your help."
"You’re welcome."
Ling Feng smiled, seeing Ghost Dragon had almost cleared out another open space, he said to her, "Let’s go over there and check. Maybe there’s new metal again!"
"Okay!"
Feiyan nodded and leaped into the sky.
Sure enough, some more red liquid was found here too.
But just as they landed and were about to start collecting, Ling Feng and Feiyan simultaneously felt a tremor beneath their feet!
The two of them exchanged a glance, and Feiyan immediately said, "Be careful, that creature is here!"
"Mm!"
Ling Feng nodded, drawing out the Blade of the Apocalypse.
Though he had retrieved the God Slayer Saber and Kai Tian, he had grown accustomed to using this curved saber recently.
While on high alert, Ling Feng suddenly noticed several huge snowballs rolling down from the hillside!
The snowballs grew larger and larger, gradually emitting a rumbling sound.
Ling Feng squinted his eyes, prepared to slice them up with saber energy when they got closer!
But just then, a strong wind swooped in beside him!
"Whoa!"
Ling Feng leaped more than ten meters in an instant, and then saw something flash where he stood!
The thing moved so fast that his eyes couldn’t catch where it had gone.
"That’s it, it’s way too fast!"
Feiyan had just spoken when her hair suddenly lifted!
"Watch your back!"
Ling Feng shouted.
Feiyan, with her exceptional skill, wasn’t easily caught off guard, and gracefully leaped into the air!
Her clothes fluttered, but suddenly a piece of her skirt was torn, slowly floating to the ground!
Seeing this, Ling Feng’s brow furrowed, and he called out sternly, "Tian Lian, catch it for me!"
"Understood, master!"
Tian Lian responded, already in the air, and then summoned her natal Bronze Cauldron.
After being refined in the Xuanling Realm, her power had increased considerably, and a band of golden light enveloped Ling Feng’s location, covering the entire clearing.
By this time, the snowballs were upon them, and Ling Feng had no time to think, sending out several saber energies to shatter them all.
Then, Ling Feng heard a piercing scream!
Turning around, he saw a ball of white light being ensnared by Tian Lian’s Bronze Cauldron, slowly rising.
Feiyan was stunned by the sight, her mouth forming an O shape.
The ball of white light struggled violently, but clearly couldn’t resist the cauldron’s golden light, and was quickly captured inside.
Seeing this, Ling Feng relaxed and said to Feiyan, "Alright, wait a moment, this thing will be your pet."
"Is it really that simple?"
Feiyan asked, bewildered.
"Yes, it’s just that simple!"
Ling Feng chuckled, looking quite pleased with himself.
But no sooner had he spoken, when he suddenly felt a fierce tremor beneath his feet, as if an eight-magnitude earthquake had hit!
Unsteady on his feet, Ling Feng immediately leaped into the air!
Feiyan followed, rising into the air, both somewhat puzzled, unsure of what had happened.
Ling Feng thought perhaps it was an earthquake, or a volcanic eruption, but then suddenly saw atop the mountain ridge, numerous snowbanks soaring into the air.
Then, a massive figure burst into the sky, letting out a roar!
"What the hell is that?"
Ling Feng was a bit surprised, his eyes wide.
It was clearly a creature of unknown nature, and after leaping into the air, it charged towards them.
Entirely white without a trace of any other color, and with a gaping maw full of densely packed sharp fangs.
Seeing this thing, Ling Feng knew it was nothing pleasant, and he sternly ordered, "Everyone charge, take it down for me!"
