"Father!" Han Yurou was slightly alarmed and looked at Han Wulong emerging from the darkness, with a hint of avoidance on her face.

"Rou’er, you’re also grown up, and some things are normal, but…" Han Wulong hesitated, his broad energy swirling around him, and the golden dragon pattern shining like a divine light in the sky.

"But what?" Han Yurou’s eyes flickered with a hint of alarm, slightly dodging, and softly said.

Han Wulong immediately took a step, the golden dragon pattern appearing, and the surging golden waves filled the entire courtyard like towering sea water in an instant.

"Rou’er, honestly tell father, did you really feel the same golden dragon aura from him as you feel from me?"

Han Yurou nodded heavily and said, "At first, I thought he was just extremely talented, but later I discovered that his soul energy was equally extraordinary. During several battles in Yutian Palace, I felt the same aura as yours! I thought I was wrong, but it turned out to be true."

"Hmm…" Han Wulong frowned, stood with his hands behind his back, his robe billowing, and looked at the distant mountains and forests, no longer speaking.

"Father, what’s wrong?"

Looking at Han Wulong’s tall figure, Han Yurou seemed a bit absent-minded. After a long silence, Han Wulong suddenly turned around, his eyes filled with silence.

"If this is true, tomorrow’s Yutian Soul Race, Su Yi must come back safely!"

Han Yurou nodded gently. Since Su Yi left, Han Yurou’s heart has been constantly worrying about him. Then, Han Wulong looked at Han Yurou with a serious expression and said.

"And also, from now on, you must not have any emotional entanglement with Su Yi!"

"*Boom!*"

Han Yurou’s sizzling hot body appeared extremely enchanting under the moonlight. Suddenly, she shivered and furrowed her eyebrows, looking at Han Wulong in confusion.

"Why? If older women are allowed, why can’t I?"

Han Wulong, who had always adored Han Yurou, widened his eyes and changed his gentle image from before, saying in a low voice.

"Stop talking nonsense! This is Yutian Palace! And if I say it’s not allowed, then it’s not allowed! You and Su Yi are not suitable!"

"Why are we not suitable? He is unmarried and I am not married! I am willing to be with whoever I want to be with! If he can sacrifice himself to save me, why can’t I express my feelings for him?"

Han Yurou, who is brave in love and hate, didn’t back down in her words. Her eyebrows were filled with anger, and she shouted loudly.

"Yurou! Your father has promised you everything since you were little, except for this one thing. Your father cannot promise you this! If you want a good husband, even if your father searches through six lands, three continents, and one ocean, he will find one for you. But it cannot be Su Yi! Absolutely not!"

After speaking, Han Wulong’s body became filled with energy, and suddenly a terrifying and domineering aura swept out like a violent storm. Han Yurou’s delicate and charming body took a few steps back, feeling a sour and sweet sensation in her chest, and her skirt behind her was lifted high.

As the veil fell, the bright moonlight scattered on Han Yurou’s injured face, and the tears that had formed a line flowed down her perfect profile.

"Tap, tap!"

Han Wulong looked at it and immediately felt a sharp pain in his heart, but he remained unchanged.

"Father, I hate you! How can you be afraid of that woman!"

"Thud, thud!"

Han Yurou gently raised her hand and wiped the tears from her face. With a heart filled with immense sadness, she looked at Han Wulong, took a step back, turned around, and then dashed away into the distance. Like a moonlight fairy, she disappeared into the night sky.

"Yurou!" Han Wulong called out urgently, but there was no trace of Han Yurou around as the wind picked up.

"Oh!"

With a loud "bang," Han Wulong tightened his right fist and a beam of light shot out from his palm, chipping off a corner of the stone table, causing it to disintegrate into pebbles.

"Boom!"

Han Wulong gathered his breath, his face serious and his eyes focused. He sighed, looking up at the sky.

"Yurou, you must understand, my child! You and Su Yi are not from the same world! If it’s truly for your happiness, what does Yutian Palace matter? This world will always have its limits, and though I cannot change that as your father, someone needs to break those limits!"

Han Wulong’s energy dissipated suddenly, and his towering figure slumped onto a stone bench. He looked utterly exhausted, resembling a heartbroken father.

With a gentle breeze throughout the night, the stars faded away.

The golden light from the horizon bathed the mountains and rivers once again. The shimmering waves carried a proud sun rising, as if carrying the hope of a new beginning.

Everyone gathered again at Zhongzhen Square. The group from Lingyue Peak arrived early and Han Yurou and Han Wulong stood on opposite sides of the crowd.

Han Yurou looked very sad, the sleepless night had made her look tired. She avoided looking at Han Wulong and kept her eyes downcast.

Han Wulong also seemed uneasy as he watched his daughter. He tried not to think about other things and looked straight ahead at the center of the square.

Duanmu Xiaoman had arrived at the square and sat on a white jade chair in the center. Her expression was proud and aloof, like a graceful fairy. But unlike the previous day, no one dared to meet her gaze and kept their heads down.

Princely Elder and the ten feudal lords sat on both sides of a high platform. They remained still with calm expressions. Elder Ling and a few Faculty Elders stood respectfully behind Princely Elder, not daring to make any noise.

Gu Yue and Luo Wuya walked up to the platform together. They looked at the solemn crowd below and felt a sense of sadness. Compared to the crowded scene yesterday, today’s Yutian Palace seemed quiet. Roughly estimating, only half the number of people attended today. Nevertheless, they felt motivated and Gu Yue loudly announced.

"After Princely Elder’s overnight selection, everyone present here is qualified to participate in today’s Yutian Soul Race. In other words, all of you are true warriors selected by my Yutian Palace, willing to devote yourselves to our cause!"

Among the crowd, there was a figure who still felt a strong reaction upon hearing these words – it was Jun Haotian, chosen by the elders.

Gu Yue glanced briefly at Jun Haotian below and then looked at Duanmu Xiaoman. Duanmu Xiaoman nodded slightly, signaling that they could begin. Gu Yue opened the jade scroll in their hand and continued speaking.

"Yutian Soul Race is making major changes to the competition format today, here are the rules."

Gu Yue stared at the jade scroll, looking hesitant. After a pause, her eyes widened slightly as a wise and solemn figure appeared in the air and spoke.

"Yutian Soul Race will no longer follow the previous four-round system. Today, we will combine soul testing, alchemy, refining tools, soul control, and martial arts training into one!"

"Whoosh!"

The contestants and elders standing on the stage were instantly taken aback. What kind of final competition is this? They had never heard of it before.

Whispers and curious glances were exchanged among the crowd, but nobody dared to speak too loudly.

"Silence!"
