Chapter 212: Forgotten Consequences
In the student council, the mood became heavy.
"Kh." The student council president slammed his fist onto his desk while gritting his teeth. He was watching everything through the video, never thinking that not only could Auric win against Trevor, but he was also overwhelming him.

"Congrats on your victory. Thanks to you, I’ve won a lot of points." Vera smiled from ear to ear. "Ah, greetings to you, Vice President Katarina."
"Vera." Katarina nodded.
"Still, Vice President... This is the first time I’ve seen you wearing such an outfit."
"Well, does it look good on me? It’s been growing on me lately." Katarina wasn’t embarrassed about it anymore. In fact, she felt some confidence.
"How do I say this...?" Vera scratched the back of her head. "You’re not going to wear that to the student council, right?"
"Of course not. I know how to separate my jobs."
"Well, it’s fine, I guess."
Katarina nodded gracefully. "So, how much did you win, Vera?"

"...sorry?" Katarina froze.
"You heard it right." Vera laughed before turning to Auric. "Thanks to you, I’ve won a lot of points. I should at least share some of it with you."
"No, it’s fine. Those are your points. I don’t deserve them." Auric waved his hand, politely declining her offer.
"Come on. I’ll feel bad if you don’t take it." Vera insisted.
"I don’t really need it. I’m not a student here anyway."
"That’s true, but..."
It looked like Vera was going to hand it to him no matter what. Rejecting her would be useless.
Auric thought for a moment before suggesting, "How about this? Can you give those points to Eric? Well, he’s probably going to reject it, so exchange the points for some items first, probably equipment, and give a reason that he can’t reject."
"Oh?" Vera pondered carefully. "Sure, I can do that."
"That’s great." Auric smiled, feeling satisfied.
"Well, you have won. Congrats." Ellia raised two fingers. "However, you will face two problems. The first one will come from the academy. Because you’re an outsider, Trevor’s within the university standing is above yours. They might try to expel you or do whatever to pressure you to save face. As I mentioned before, the people here have high egos, so they might do everything to save their pride.
"The second problem will come from Trevor’s family. That will be much more troublesome. The academy is sacred ground, so you’re safe. But what they can do outside... I don’t think I have to explain it.
"Right now, you are in the protection of the Relesha family. You will be safe, but Trevor’s family is quite big, so they might harm you after you go back to Thunderer City."
Auric nodded. "I have made an arrangement."
Mathias told him to act first and think hard to handle the consequences later. That was why he had made some arrangements before the fight.
"Is that so? If you need anything, just tell me."
"Sure."
"In that case, I should go back to my company to handle some matters." Ellia nodded and walked away, not waiting for Auric’s response.
Vera grinned. "If you need anything, you can also ask me. Well, there is another path for you. Just marry into my family and we will do everything to protect you."
"You jest." Auric chuckled.

At first, Vera looked hostile. She kept provoking them, especially Ellia.

Meanwhile, her attitude towards Auric and the others had become soft. This might have been Vera’s real personality all along.
"Speaking of calls..." Auric noticed that his phone was buzzing. Maya was calling. "Teacher."
"Hahaha. It looks like you’re having fun over there. You know what? I’ve just gotten a call from Kallarnos University telling me that I have to expel you from Grand Magica College.
"If only it wasn’t a call, I would have given them my middle finger while laughing." Maya had always told him to beat students from other academies. So, the fact that Auric crushed a student from the number one university in this country so hard that the university even pressured his teacher to expel him made her so happy.
"I’m glad that you’re having fun."
"I’ve heard about Eric. How is he?"
"He is fine. He will return by tomorrow."
"Is that so? That’s good then. Don’t worry about anything here. Just focus on yourself over there, okay?"
"Well, I’m planning to make another big wave. I guess you can look forward to it."
"Sure. I don’t care if it’s my alma mater or not. It’s not like I had fun over there, so screw everything!"
Auric shook his head helplessly. "Goodbye."
"Byeee..."
Auric didn’t know what to say to his teacher anymore, but she was having fun, so he just let her be.
Vera was stunned for a moment before awkwardly saying, "Ah. I need to spend my points and head to the hospital today, so Eric has no way to reject me."
"Yeah. Thank you." Auric waved his hand.
With her and Ellia gone, the store became silent again.
"It looks like a lot of things are going to happen in the next few days. Since I still hold my position as the vice president, I will at least update you about the matter. This way, you will know what you need to do." Katarina shook her head helplessly. "At this rate, the university is going to be shameless. You should be careful."
"I kn—" Auric abruptly stopped when he noticed another person coming into the store. The store was supposed to be deserted, yet it looked like it wouldn’t be that empty after all.
"Ah? Secretary Rose?" Katarina waved her hand. "What are you doing here? Running errands for the president again? Just to let you know, I’m going to protect him."
"Secretary?" Auric raised his eyebrows.
"Let me introduce you. She is Rosemary Khavliat Sevishia, the current secretary of the student council."
Auric nodded politely. "Welcome...?"
"Good day to you." Rose politely nodded to Auric. "If you don’t mind, I’d like to ask Katarina about one thing."
"You don’t need my permission." Auric shook his head.
Rose smiled before turning to Katarina.
"What do you want to ask? Do you want me to step away?"
"No. Are you having fun right now?"
"Fun? That’s a rather unexpected question." Katarina’s eyes widened. "Well, if you’re asking whether I’m having fun or not, then yes. I’m having fun."
"I see." Rose knew that for Katarina, achievement was everything. The only time she had fun was when she achieved something big. It looked like there was another reason Katarina was willing to work for Auric.
She didn’t intend to find out, but that answer helped her make a decision.
Rose then turned to Auric. "In that case, I’m going to give you a piece of information. I have been watching you and the people around you in the past week. There is one thing that is a bit concerning about Ellia Stroph Astler."
"Ellia?"
"Yes. Do you know that she has used her influence for you? As a result, her companies will be quite ’busy’ for a while.
"The reason she has been able to remain free from her family all this time is that she has been useful to the family.
"However, helping you this time has harmed the interests of the family. As a result, her family is using it against her.
"I’m not sure how much she’s going to suffer, but..." Rose raised one finger. "From the looks of it, she’s planning to give one of her companies back to her family.
