Chapter 7: Chapter 7: Yo! Bitches
Azriel adjusted the Soul Camera, setting it to a cinematic "Third-Person Follow" mode, hovering just above and behind his shoulder to highlight the powerful lines of his back and his broad shoulders.
With a final breath, he tapped the screen.
[ BROADCAST STARTING... ]
[ SIGNAL STABILIZED...]
[ CURRENT VIEWERS: 0 ]
He stood perfectly still, his eyes fixed on the translucent screen of his livestream.
He was waiting for the first few entities to stumble upon the most scandalous title in the multiverse.
The hunt had officially begun.
While keeping an eye on the viewer count, he stepped into the bathroom.
It was just as lavish as the bedroom, boasting a massive walk-in shower and an array of crystal bottles filled with premium shampoos and soaps.
He knew starting his debut stream from the shower was a bold, perhaps even bizarre move, but he was a man who understood the power of a "hook."
He turned the handle, and a torrent of steam soon filled the room.
As the hot water cascaded over his shoulders, easing the tension of his sudden death and rebirth, a familiar ding resonated.
A message flickered across the live chat.
[Lusty_Sera]: Hehehe~ you have a very sexy body, First Patriarch~
The username glowed in a brilliant, shimmering Golden.
On ChronosTube, color was everything. It was a rigid hierarchy of status.
White for high-level Divine races.
Cyan for those blessed by goddesses.
Red for the angels.
Golden for goddesses.
Purple-Gold reserved exclusively for Primordials.
Feeling the unmistakable aura behind the text, Azriel didn’t hesitate.
"Seraphine, is that you?"
He addressed her directly by name.
He didn’t use honorifics like ’Goddess’ or ’Master.’
He had every intention of making her his eventually, and since she wanted a stream featuring a dominant man, he figured he should start playing the part immediately.
[Lusty_Sera] (Golden): Hehehe, yes, it’s me.
"Why is your color golden instead of purple-gold?" Azriel asked, rinsing the grime of his past life off his skin.
[Lusty_Sera] (Golden): Heh. Do you think Primordials are common as cabbages? If a Purple-Gold tag appeared in your chat now, you’d be famous across the cosmos in an hour. Where’s the fun in that? I want to watch you struggle and grow.
"Fair point," he countered, reaching for a bottle of shampoo and working a rich lather into his black hair.
As he spoke, the previous chat logs vanished, a system safety feature to keep his private interactions with his patron hidden from new arrivals.
[Lusty_Sera] (Golden): Hey, face the camera! I want to see your face. And lower the angle... show the real deal.
Azriel let out a short, dark laugh. "I’ll show the face when the room fills up. As for the lower angle? That’s exclusive content, Seraphine. I am not going to give the ’real deal’ away for free."
[Lusty_Sera] (Golden): Hmph. Fine. I’ll wait.
As Azriel continued to rinse, the viewer count began to climb steadily
The "First Patriarch" handle was doing exactly what he’d intended, acting as a beacon for the curious and a lightning rod for the self-righteous.
[ LIVE CHAT ]
[Battle_Maiden_Vera] (White): A Patriarch? Is this some kind of joke? Who let a male onto the Network with such a blasphemous name?
[Moon_Priestess_99] (Cyan): Look at the definition in those back muscles... No, I mean, yes, who gave access to a male this arrogant? This is an insult to the Oracle!
[Angelic_Sword_Valerius] (Red): This stream is a disgrace. A male showing his bare skin so shamelessly? Where is his modesty? Where are his morals? My eyes are burning.
[Lusty_Sera] (Golden): Oh, hush, little angel. Stop clutching your pearls and just enjoy the view. It’s certainly more refreshing than watching another star go supernova, isn’t it?
[Moon_Priestess_99] (Cyan): A Goddess... My apologies, Lady Sera!
[Angelic_Sword_Valerius] (Red): Wait, look at his energy signature color... it’s Cyan. Lady Sera, is this beastman your chosen one?
[Lusty_Sera] (Golden): Hehe, he is. Isn’t he quite different? A bit more... potent than the usual stock you see on Aurelias Network?
[Battle_Maiden_Vera] (White): The thumbnail mentions a "Second Life." Did you actually transmigrate him, Lady Sera?
[Lusty_Sera] (Golden): I did. I was growing quite bored of the usual divine drama, so I plucked this soul from the void. He put up quite a fight for a dying man, I thought he might provide some unique entertainment.
[Moon_Priestess_99] (Cyan): By "entertainment"... d-do you mean that kind?
[Lusty_Sera] (Golden): Hehehe~ Exactly what you’re thinking, little priestess.
[I_Love_Leaf] (Golden): Honestly, Sera, your name really defines you.
[Star_Gazer_Yuna] (White): "The First Patriarch." Please. Does he actually think he’s in charge of anything? He’s in a shower. I can see the slave tattoo around his neck. He’s clearly just some noble’s new plaything trying to get attention before his owner breaks him.
[Frost_Queen_Elsa] (Cyan): Plaything or not, look at the way the water drips off his ears... and those muscles. He’s seen more than just a bedroom. His Aether signature is... intoxicating.
[Crimson_Fury] (White): Enough talk! Turn around, male! Let’s see if that face is worth the blasphemy you’ve typed!
Azriel watched the chat scroll by, a predatory smirk playing on his lips.
He could feel the eyes of the Heavens, the goddesses, the angels, the powerful, all locking onto him. The heat of the water matched the rising temperature of the stream.
As he rinsed the last of the foam from his hair, he moved with the slow, deliberate grace of a panther.
He reached up, slicking his black hair back, and turned around fully to face the camera.
The steam parted, revealing his razor-sharp jawline, his pale, marble-like skin, and those piercing, violet eyes that held absolutely no fear.
He leaned in toward the Soul Camera, his wet hair dripping down his chest, and spoke two words that hit the AUREALIS Network like a physical blow.
"Yo! Bitches."
