Chapter 51: Chapter 51: Warrior’s Insight

"Azriel," Rosalind’s voice cut through the stunned silence of the arena, dropping into a dangerous, low register that instantly made the hairs on his neck stand up.

She stepped forward, her golden eyes burning with a mixture of intense bewilderment and sharp suspicion.

"What the actual hell was that?"

Azriel casually rolled his shoulders, giving her a look of supreme innocence.

"You were a complete, uncoordinated disaster in the enclosed hall just forty-eight hours ago," she continued, her white tail lashing behind her with a furious, impatient rhythm.

"You didn’t know a pivot from a basic stance. How did you just mirror the combat sequence flawlessly on your first attempt? Explain."

Azriel crossed his arms, a rogue, incredibly smug grin carving its way onto his face.

He leaned back slightly, adopting a tone that was dripping with both playful arrogance and unadulterated pride.

"Well, Rose," Azriel chuckled, his violet eyes flashing with a spark of pure mischief.

"If you must know... last night, a grand deity visited me in my sleep. The God—err, excuse me, the Goddess of War herself descended from the higher realms. She took one look at my tragic lack of martial skills, felt deeply moved by my plight, and blessed me right then and there. It gave me a unique, absolute combat instinct. Now, whenever I see a martial technique, my body just... understands it. And the best part? It’s a growth-type trait. The more I fight, the stronger it gets."

Captain Nyra’s face twitched, her icy gaze narrowing into a deadpan glare.

Rosalind let out a sharp, cynical laugh, placing her hands firmly on her hips as she stepped right into his personal space.

"Yeah, right. And I’m secretly blessed by the Sword Goddess of the upper domains. Azriel, don’t joke around with me. This is your martial foundation we are talking about. Tell me the truth. What happened to you?"

Azriel’s smile turned softer, a decidedly sharper glint entering his eyes.

He knew he couldn’t hide his sudden, explosive growth forever, and honestly? Showing her a controlled glimpse of his capabilities was part of the plan.

"Alright, alright, no more jokes," Azriel murmured, his voice humming with absolute confidence.

He raised his left hand, his fingers sweeping through the air in a deliberate, fluid motion.

"Rose, look right here. Check this out."

With a silent mental command, he forced a specific portion of his translucent system interface to materialize in the physical space directly in front of Rosalind’s face.

Rosalind’s breath caught sharply in her throat.

She stared at the floating, blue-tinted interface, her golden eyes rapidly scanning the glowing text as her brilliant mind tried to process the sheer, absurd reality of what she was looking at.

"Warrior’s Insight..." Rosalind muttered under her breath, her voice trailing off as she stared at the screen, then back up to his face.

The name itself sounded remarkably ordinary, like a common trait a standard vanguard or an arena pit-fighter might awaken.

But the tag attached to it [Growth Type] changed everything.

In a world where most people were locked into whatever static traits they were born with, an evolvable ability was a terrifyingly rare anomaly.

It meant that right now, it was just a basic mapping skill.

But as Azriel grew, fought, and forced the trait to evolve, it would shed its mundane skin and transform into something potentially world-shaking.

Behind her, the invisible streaming camera tightly zoomed in on her completely flabbergasted expression, while the interdimensional live chat went absolutely berserk at his calculated flex.

The viewers instantly saw right through his smooth-talking "Goddess of War" routine, and the scrolling text became a chaotic mess of laughter and call-outs.

[Crimson_Fury] (White): Blessed by the Goddess of War, my absolute ass! That’s literally the growth-type ability that was just on sale in the Karma Shop! This bastard actually dropped that much capital to buy it?!

[Boundless_Slacker] (Red): Oh my god, he might have actually taken out a loan with that predatory interest rate just to flex! HAHAHAHA!

[Nine_Tailed_Vixen] (Cyan): Look at him acting all smug and mysterious like he’s a chosen prophet! ’A grand deity visited me in my sleep...’ The acting skills on this man are top-tier!

[Pure_Jade_Fairy] (White): Honestly, the fact that he’s lying straight to a GrandMaster’s face with a straight smile is the most impressive part. He’s completely selling the performance!

Rosalind reached out, her fingers passing right through the intangible holographic text as she tried to wrap her mind around it. The icy suspicion in her eyes completely melted, replaced by a profound, burning intrigue.

"An evolvable trait locked behind your physical refinement..." she murmured, a slow, incredibly captivated smile spreading across her lips as she looked him up and down, seeing his pumped muscles in a completely new light.

She turned slightly, looking back at Captain Nyra, who was still standing frozen in a state of absolute shock.

"Well, Captain," Rosalind purred, her black-and-white striped tail swishing with a sudden, dangerous excitement.

"It seems our little monster doesn’t need to learn how to punch through months of tedious repetition. He just needs you to show him how it’s done. Don’t hold back anymore. Let’s see just how much that ’Insight’ of his can swallow before he breaks."
