Chapter 2619: Chapter 2619: Look Forward (5)
"What I told you before doesn’t count anymore." Princess Ahyang looked cautiously at Yang Ruxin.
"What did you say before?" Yang Ruxin frowned, unable to recall.
"It’s about me saying I liked General Gu." Princess Ahyang’s face was a bit unnatural, but her attitude remained firm.
"And then?"
"And then, I don’t like him anymore, so we’re not enemies now."
Yang Ruxin rolled her eyes, then raised her hand to pat the other’s shoulder: "Princess, whether you like him or not, I never cared. It’s your own business, so just decide for yourself." With that, she bypassed the princess and headed toward Kangshou Palace.
"What do you mean?" Princess Ahyang frowned, watching Yang Ruxin’s departing figure.
Yang Ruxin raised her hand without looking back, waving: "Think for yourself."
Princess Ahyang opened her mouth to ask something more, but the other person had already turned a corner and was out of sight, leaving her to stomp her foot: "How rude." Inside Kangshou Palace.
Three beans were not asleep, lying side by side on the Arhat bed, waving their little hands and feet, babbling at the nearby Empress Dowager.
The Empress Dowager occasionally said a few words, though neither understood the other, they still seemed quite lively.
Perhaps it was telepathy, as soon as Yang Ruxin entered, the three little ones collectively looked up at her. Who knows if they could actually see her, but they showed her a toothless smile nonetheless.
Yang Ruxin felt her heart melting instantly.
"Why are you in such a rush, are you afraid I’m not taking good care?" The Empress Dowager rolled her eyes at Yang Ruxin, who had worked up a sweat even in winter.
"Of course not." Yang Ruxin hurriedly chuckled, "I’m just bursting with milk."
The Empress Dowager said no more, simply waving her hand for her to hurry and feed the babies.
After the three beans were fed one by one, Yang Ruxin was about to take her leave, but the Empress Dowager pointed out that going out immediately after eating could cause stomach troubles.
Yang Ruxin had no choice but to stay.
"Aren’t you curious about my matter with Nian Qianqian?" The Empress Dowager spoke as if casually.
"In this vast world full of people, who doesn’t have a story?" Yang Ruxin laughed, "Regardless of good or bad, it’s all in the past, right? People need to look forward." She was indeed curious, but it depended on what kind of gossip it was; the Empress Dowager’s privacy wasn’t easy to pry into.
The Empress Dowager suddenly smiled, and after a moment of silence, stood up: "It’s late, go home."
Yang Ruxin then called for people to wrap up the three beans, bowed, and left.
Eastern Palace.
"You don’t like women?" Qi Jingchen raised his eyebrows slightly at Qi Jingyi, "Hmm? Then do you like men?"
Qi Jingyi awkwardly chuckled: "I have no choice here, Brother Crown Prince. Don’t say I’ve already got Yaoyao now, even if I hadn’t, I wouldn’t want to marry that princess. Marrying her would truly be worse than liking a man."
Qi Jingchen burst into laughter out of frustration: "Then if you like men, why marry Wei Yao at all? I think..."
"No." Qi Jingyi hurriedly interrupted, running over to hug Qi Jingchen’s arm, "Brother Crown Prince, you can’t do this, my happiness is entirely relying on you. If you don’t help me, I might really end up liking men."
Qi Jingchen, half-laughing, half-crying, pulled him off: "Alright, stop howling. But with such an unconventional situation, you should seek advice from Xinxin; she has plenty of peculiar ideas."
