Chapter 255: Chapter 255: Going Back on One’s Word _1
Ten minutes later, at the Yanjing Martial Arts Association.
Xu Zhendong glared at Jiang Long, suppressing the furious anger in his heart, and questioned Jiang Long, "Chairman Jiang, my Xu Family has never had any dealings with you. I beg you to release my daughter!"
Jiang Long let out a mocking laugh, clearly not taking him seriously.
He simply stated, "It’s true, your Xu Family and I have no dealings, but your daughter is, however, involved with Ye Ming."
"I invited her here merely to make Ye Ming show up so that he will obediently heal my son, and naturally I will release your daughter."
Xu Zhendong’s face turned ashen, and he trembled with rage as he asked, "Have Ye Ming treat your son? What if he can’t heal him?"
Jiang Long spoke calmly, "Then I can’t be blamed. If my son doesn’t wake up, your daughter has to stay by his side for as long as he is comatose. If my son never wakes up, then your daughter will have to stay here for life, by my son’s side!"
His words were utterly unreasonable, and even Xu Zhendong, who might have had the patience of a saint, could not take it any longer at this point.
"Jiang Long, do you think we can be bullied by you at will? Have you considered the consequences of doing this?" Xu Zhendong asked.
"My son has already ended up like this, all because of Ye Ming, and your daughter is Ye Ming’s girlfriend. It’s her responsibility. Indeed, I am bullying you. What can you do about it? What kind of consequences can you bring me?" After Jiang Long finished speaking, he simply stopped paying attention to the other side and waved his hand dismissively to see the guests out.
His arrogant attitude completely enraged Xu Zhendong. At that moment, Xu Zhendong decided he wouldn’t hold back any longer and turned to Elder Wang who had followed him and said, "Elder Wang, I’ll have to trouble you with what comes next."
Elder Wang’s complexion changed, showing some reluctance, but after all, having taken the Xu Family’s money, he couldn’t just stand by and watch.
So, with a push off his feet, he charged towards Jiang Long.
"A mere Great Grandmaster dares to cause trouble in my Martial Artist Association? Do you really not take our Martial Artist Association into account?" A murderous glint flashed in Jiang Long’s eyes.
Remaining seated, unflinching and unyielding, as Elder Wang almost reached him, a dark figure already appeared, standing in front of Jiang Long and forcefully repelling Elder Wang.
The two had only exchanged blows for a moment before they separated, but by then, Elder Wang was already deathly pale with blood hanging from the corner of his mouth.
The disparity in their strength was too great; Elder Wang was no match for him.
"Family Head Xu, I’m truly sorry. I am no match for him!"
Xu Zhendong had foreseen this, given that the Martial Artist Association was filled with many masters, and with just the few people he had brought, there was no way they could cope.
The Xu Family, after all, had been mingling in these circles for so many years and had accumulated not a few connections. They had plenty of ways to deal with Jiang Long, but right now, Xu Zhendong had no better solution to rescue his daughter, and he could only watch helplessly.
With anger boiling inside and nowhere to vent, he could only stew in silent fury.
As Jiang Long was carried away in his arrogance, suddenly, a few items flew in from outside the Association’s door.
With a thud, Wang Chao’s body slammed heavily to the ground and, with the help of inertia, he landed right in front of Jiang Long.
At this moment, he had been beaten to a pulp, his face bruised, his meridians throughout his body cut, to the extent that he couldn’t even manage the simple act of standing.
The two men thrown in alongside him ended up in an even more dismal state, covered in blood and unconscious.
"Wang Chao? What happened to you? How did you end up getting beaten up like this?"
The Deputy Chairman of the Martial Artist Association, beaten into the shape of a dead dog, Jiang Long was both shocked and furious.
Wang Chao struggled to rise from the ground, barely able to speak, "Chairman, you must avenge us!"
"Daring to lay hands on you, the Deputy Chairman, I certainly won’t let him off. Tell me, who did this to you?" Jiang Long demanded.
Before Wang Chao could speak, Ye Ming’s voice came from outside, "These three dogs of yours were beaten by me."
"Now, it’s your turn."
Jiang Long gritted his teeth as he glared at Ye Ming and cursed, "You bastard! I’ll make sure you die a miserable death! Attack!"
At Jiang Long’s command, a number of skilled fighters immediately burst out from all around, surrounding Ye Ming completely.
Lying on the ground, Wang Chao was even cast into a shadow; he no longer dared to look directly at Ye Ming and curled up in fear.
"Ye Ming!" Xu Lele’s cry came, her eyes brimming with tears.
She had thought that Ye Ming’s heart had changed and that he would no longer care about her life or death, but to her surprise, Ye Ming had actually come in person to rescue her from a desperate plight.
Ye Ming saw that Xu Lele was being held hostage by a muscular man, a sharp dagger pressed against her throat.
The dagger clung tightly to Xu Lele’s skin; with just a slight effort, she would immediately lose her life.
In an instant, Ye Ming abandoned any intent to fight, not daring to make a rash move for fear that Xu Lele would be hurt.
He turned his head and with a cold look in his eyes, asked Jiang Long, "What exactly do you want?"
Jiang Long said leisurely, "What I want is very simple: you heal my son, and I will ensure Xu Lele’s safety!"
"Otherwise, you’ll regret it."
Before Ye Ming could respond, Xu Zhendong said anxiously, "Ye Ming, my daughter must not be harmed! You better think carefully before making a decision!"
"Jiang Long is capable of anything; he has always been without scruples in his actions!"
Ye Ming immediately nodded in agreement. Even if Xu Zhendong hadn’t said these words, he wouldn’t gamble with Xu Lele’s life.
Having crossed hands with Jiang Long several times, he was certainly aware of Jiang Long’s modus operandi.
"As long as you don’t harm Le Le, I can heal!"
Ye Ming answered.
It wasn’t long before Jiang Dachuan, seated in a wheelchair, was pushed out.
Without hesitation, Ye Ming went over and placed his hand on Jiang Dachuan’s nape.
He then immediately began transferring True Qi to him, repairing the broken meridians within his body.
Soon, Jiang Dachuan’s fingers twitched, showing signs of response.
Five minutes later, Jiang Dachuan slowly opened his eyes.
He looked around in a daze, curiously examining everything and even asking, "Is the Martial Artists’ Conference over?"
Jiang Long excitedly ran over, closely examining his son, tears streaming down his face.
"Son, you’re finally awake; your father has been so worried!"
"This is truly great!"
As Xu Zhendong witnessed this father and son reunion, he couldn’t help but speak up, "Chairman Jiang, now that your family’s matter has been resolved, can I take my daughter and leave?"
Jiang Long’s expression changed as he said, "We haven’t settled all our affairs yet; there’s an account that needs to be properly cleared!"
"Ye Ming, don’t think that just because you healed my son, this matter can be dropped like that! I need to have a serious talk with you."
