Chapter 48: Chapter 48: The Weakness of Tao Xiaoshuang_1

Whoosh!

A glint of cold light ripped through the night sky, hurtling towards Qin Feng’s thigh at the speed of lightning.

Shit! The dart’s here before the person? Going for a stealth attack right off the bat, and playing so rough? This lady’s really something!

Qin Feng knew that Tao Xiaoshuang was here to test his skills, definitely sent by Sun Manli. Just dealing with those seven beauties wasn’t enough to make Sun Manli place her bets on him.

Since Tao Xiaoshuang had arrived, Qin Feng certainly wasn’t going to hold back. He had to let Sun Manli feel his formidable strength!

As the dart neared, Qin Feng didn’t dodge, nor did he attempt to catch it with finesse; he simply pushed with his right palm.

Boom!

A blast of orange-yellow True Qi shot out, knocking the dart to the ground.

Picking up the dart, Qin Feng discovered it wasn’t even sharp. It seemed Tao Xiaoshuang wasn’t as cruel as he thought.

Feigning ignorance of Tao Xiaoshuang’s identity, Qin Feng called out loudly, "Who are you? What grudge do we have that you would attack me stealthily?"

Tao Xiaoshuang didn’t speak, striking directly with a karate chop towards Qin Feng’s neck. Qin Feng sidestepped, dodging the sudden slash.

All of a sudden, Tao Xiaoshuang’s legs sprang into the air, her scissors kick entrapping his waist. Performing a carp flip in midair, she attempted to throw Qin Feng to the ground, but he stood firm, while her legs became twisted like a braid.

Tao Xiaoshuang had practiced contortion; her bones were as flexible as water. She spun her body, straightening the twisted legs, yet still clamped tightly around Qin Feng’s waist.

Tao Xiaoshuang lifted herself upward. She clenched her right fist, aiming a punch towards Qin Feng’s chest while her left hand, transformed into a blade, slashed at his neck.

Caught between left and right attacks, Qin Feng had no room to evade. If he were to respond forcefully, he would be unscathed, but the lady would get hurt.

To avoid injuring Tao Xiaoshuang, Qin Feng thought of a move. He wrapped his left arm around her waist and slapped her buttocks with his right hand.

Smack!

"Ah!" Tao Xiaoshuang cried out.

The True Qi within her was dispersed with the slap.

Devoid of Qi, her punches and knife-hand strikes became feeble and weak.

Though they eventually landed on Qin Feng’s chest and neck, they were as harmless as the playful banter between lovers.

Qin Feng then lifted Tao Xiaoshuang’s mask. 𝓯𝓻𝓮𝙚𝙬𝓮𝙗𝒏𝙤𝒗𝙚𝙡.𝒄𝒐𝓶

"Hey, it’s you? Wrapping your legs around my waist in this dark alley, what are you trying to do, huh?"

"You lecher! Let me go!"

As she spoke, Tao Xiaoshuang swung a slap at Qin Feng’s face.

Qin Feng quickly let go.

Slap!

The beauty fell to the ground, landing on her rear. Of course, her attempted slap also missed its target.

"Ah!"

Because of the pain from the fall, Tao Xiaoshuang cried out again.

"You bastard! Bastard!"

Tao Xiaoshuang was furious, but she could only scold, not daring to make another move against Qin Feng. His single slap had dispersed all her True Qi. This clearly showed that Qin Feng’s strength far surpassed hers.

"How did I become a bastard? That move just now was a necessary action. You were wrapping your legs around my waist with one fist and one knife-hand striking from both sides. I had no escape. If I chose to counter, you would have been injured for sure. Therefore, the only choice was to use a palm strike to disperse your True Qi."

"Every person who practices Martial Tao has their weaknesses. You left your own weakness on your backside, and you blame me? So, if you attack me again, for every sneak attack, I will hit you once."

"Bastard!"

After cursing Qin Feng one last time, Tao Xiaoshuang ran off with blush on her cheeks.

She had come to test Qin Feng’s ability, but in the end, she was taken lightly by that bastard. And what’s worse, she wasn’t even that angry about it!

Isn’t that infuriating?

Tao Xiaoshuang had thought that, at her age, becoming a second-rank Grandmaster was already a rare martial talent seen only once in a hundred years.

Who knew that Qin Feng, around the same age as her, would be even more powerful? And not just a little bit, a lot more powerful!

Thinking back on Qin Feng’s words, she actually found herself wanting to sneak attack him again when no one was around.

She wasn’t enjoying being slapped by Qin Feng, no way!

As a Martial Tao practitioner, and moreover a high-level one who had reached the second rank of Grandmasters, Tao Xiaoshuang needed to strengthen her weaknesses.

The more her weaknesses were exploited, the stronger her resilience would become.

Qin Feng’s palm strike dispersed her True Qi because her weak point had never been touched before.

As Tao Xiaoshuang calmed down, the blush faded from her pretty face, and she regained her cool.

She couldn’t understand why, when she was testing Qin Feng, she had used those moves? Why had she wrapped her legs around his waist with a scissor hold? And after failing, why did she go right ahead and throw herself at him?

How was that looking for a duel? It was downright embarrassing! Utterly mortifying!

Surely, he hadn’t misunderstood, had he? She certainly didn’t have those feelings for him!

As soon as Tao Xiaoshuang entered, Sun Manli sensed something was off with her complexion and asked with concern, "What’s wrong?"

"Nothing much."

"How about Qin Feng? Did you spar with him?"

"Yes."

"How was his kung fu?"

"Better than mine."

"Better than yours? Do you mean to say his strength surpasses a second-rank Grandmaster?"

"It’s not just second-rank. Even Ding Zhiming, that fifth-rank Grandmaster, might not be his match. I’m a bit tired, I’ll go rest first."

Tao Xiaoshuang left as if fleeing.

When she said that Qin Feng could beat Ding Zhiming, she wasn’t just talking nonsense. On her way back, Tao Xiaoshuang replayed the sparring session with Qin Feng several times in her head.

Although Qin Feng seemed like a bastard, each of his strikes was on point, with both force and timing controlled exceptionally well.

The one strike he landed on her - if it had been lighter, it wouldn’t have dispersed her True Qi. If it had been heavier, the True Qi wouldn’t have been able to recover after being dispersed.

Now, not only had her True Qi recovered, but it had also become stronger than before. Because of Qin Feng’s palm strike, he had helped her open up a minor meridian, which was tantamount to aiding her.

That’s why she subconsciously thought about sneak attacking that youngster again next time.
