Chapter 372: Chapter 372: Ancient Spirit Sect_1
"What I like? What thing?" Qin Feng asked with a face full of curiosity.
"Of course, it’s something that Brother Qin can’t put down; you’ll know what it is in a moment," Sikong Tu didn’t directly answer, but chose to keep him guessing.
Upon hearing this, Shangguan Yan immediately became somewhat suspicious.
With a gloomy expression, she glared at Sikong Tu and demanded, "What exactly is it? If Taoist Sikong doesn’t explain clearly, I’ll suspect you’re trying to set a trap for us, intending to harm us!"
"Hehehe..."
Sikong Tu just gave a simple-minded, honest chuckle without responding, then walked over to a stone wall.
"The main chamber is right behind here. Sister Yan, if you want to know what it is, why don’t we just open the stone door to the main chamber and go in to find out?"
After saying that, Sikong Tu bit his index finger and drew half of a blood symbol on the stone wall with the blood from his fingertip.
Then, he turned his head toward Qin Feng and said, "Brother Qin, I can’t open this stone door by myself; it will require both of our efforts. Therefore, the other half of the blood symbol will need you to complete it."
After looking at the half-cut blood symbol on the stone wall, Qin Feng couldn’t help but chuckle, asking with a grin, "Does Taoist Sikong not trust me and thus wants to use this blood symbol to tightly bind my life to yours?"
"Entering this main chamber is extremely dangerous. It’s not that I don’t trust you, Brother Qin, but rather I don’t trust myself. I fear that once we go inside and encounter a danger we can’t resolve, if I find myself in a desperate situation where only by betraying you can I survive, I’d attack you.
That’s why I drew this blood symbol. As long as Brother Qin completes the other half, our fates will be tightly bound together. That way, if I were to harm your life, Brother Qin, it would be equivalent to harming my own life!"
Qin Feng knew Sikong Tu was spouting nonsense and that the old stubborn man must be plotting something. Nevertheless, he eventually nodded in agreement.
"Alright!"
Qin Feng went over, bit his middle finger, and used the blood to finish the other half of the symbol.
Sikong Tu appeared puzzled and asked, "Brother Qin, why use the middle finger?"
"I just like using the middle finger; it’s my attitude towards you."
"Brother Qin’s middle finger shouldn’t be used on me – how disgusting that would be between two grown men! If you really want to use it, it would be better applied with Sister Yan."
This comment angered Shangguan Yan.
She pointed at Sikong Tu and roared, "You old stubborn man, aren’t you a monk? How dare you speak such nonsense?"
"Don’t be mad, Sister Yan. I was just joking," Sikong Tu hastily said with an apologetic smile.
"Don’t joke around like that! Both of you have drawn the blood symbol, but why hasn’t the stone door opened?" Shangguan Yan asked.
"Sister Yan, don’t be hasty. Although the blood symbol has been drawn, it hasn’t been activated yet! Would you both kindly take a few steps back and let me perform a ritual to activate this blood symbol?"
Qin Feng and Shangguan Yan stepped back a few paces while Sikong Tu stepped forward and commenced a series of ritual stances.
Simultaneously, he brandished the Soulbanishing Sword in the air, wildly waving it about while muttering incantations under his breath.
Suddenly, Sikong Tu thrust the Soulbanishing Sword towards the blood symbol.
A burst of flame shot out from the tip of the sword, directly hitting the blood symbol. With a loud boom, it ignited the symbol.
A plume of blood-red smoke rose from the symbol, which entered the cracks of the stone door, and then the door began to creak and move.
The blood symbol activated; the stone door opened.
Qin Feng had thought that the stone door would cause some sort of commotion upon opening, but instead, the main chamber was eerily silent without the slightest reaction.
"Let’s go! Let’s go in!"
Sikong Tu, holding the Soulbanishing Sword, took the lead. Qin Feng and Shangguan Yan walked side by side, following behind him.
As soon as the three entered the main chamber.
"Clang!"
Accompanied by a loud noise, the stone door closed.
Shangguan Yan turned her head towards Sikong Tu to ask, "Did you do this?"
"Would I be that stupid? If I close the stone door, wouldn’t that be messing with myself? Now, my life is bound tightly to your man’s. Until we leave the Great Sorcerer’s Tomb, if one of us dies, the other must die too!"
Without paying attention to the two of them, Qin Feng walked over to another stone wall. On it were depictions of tiny figures, both men and women. Some were embracing, some were entwined, all engaging in unmentionable acts.
Shangguan Yan noticed Qin Feng’s actions and walked over, hitting him irritably, and asked, "What are you looking at?"
"Learning knowledge!"
"Knowledge? You call this knowledge? Aren’t you disgusted?"
"I really am learning knowledge."
"Learn from your own head, ghost!" Shangguan Yan snapped, kicking Qin Feng’s backside, and demanded, "After learning this ’knowledge’, where do you plan to apply it, huh?"
"These are witchcraft cultivation techniques from the Ancient Spirit Sect. If I happen to meet a beautiful Wizard who happens to be from the Ancient Spirit Sect and she needs to practice like this, perhaps I could be of some assistance."
