Chapter 58: Chapter 58 Soul Before Body

Forgiveness that I find so hard for me to do seemed light and easy as a feather for Deimos. He forgave my constant pushing with just two words that came from my mouth. And for the first time in my life, I admire him. At first glance, he seems like the person who would ask you to beg and cry for forgiveness on your knees but he showed me something completely different.

"What is it?" Deimos asks as he drinks his coffee. This male hides under thick skin that I need to peel little by little to see the parts of the real him. I thought I knew him at least a little but he keeps showing me I am nowhere close. I wonder what else he will show me.

Large warm hands cup my face gently as his thumb strokes across my cheeks. "Lumina?" His soft voice calls out to me and I finally meet his eyes.

"Y-Yes? What’s going on? Is everything okay?" I ask him looking around at the wolves eating breakfast. They all stare at me worried as I frown in response.

"That’s what I have been asking you all this while. You have been staring at me the entire time." He says as I look down at my breakfast. I haven’t even touched it. My mind took me away.

"I am sorry, just some things on my mind." I reply digging into the food shaking my head.

"About me?" He asks me as my mouth stops munching.

"Yes." Is all I say in response while he nods not asking me more. The truth is I have been distracted lately. Even my females ask me whilst I am at work with them as to why I am not concentrating and if I am unwell.

But the truth is as a mate I feel as if I am failing in some sort of an exam as to how well you know your male. And that frightens me when I think of us in the long run, when I think of our future.

After breakfast, I head out to the greenhouse to inhale freshness into my lungs and clear my head. Strolling through the small pebble road my eyes enjoy the beauty of colors the flowers protrude. A soft sigh leaves my lips and I close my eyes just feeling, clearing out all my thoughts.

A soft kiss on the side of my neck awakens me but before I could turn to face him, he brings my hips to his front locking my back to his front. His lips continue playing with the skin of my neck and I submerge in the pleasure. I feel safe and warm in his arms as we just enjoy our privacy within the presence of the other.

"You have a habit of always following me. Stalker." I say smiling holding onto his forearm softly.

His hands clutch my hips turning me around slowly as I come face to face with him. He tilts his head to the side as he just takes me in top to bottom.

"What?" I ask him smiling a playful tone in my voice.

"No, I just... I just thought about how beautiful you are. These flowers around you are nothing compared to what you possess." He says as my cheeks begin to burn.

"Stop playing with me, Deimos." I chuckle trying to get myself off his hold but he holds me tighter making our eyes meet.

"I am serious. I always have felt and will feel this way about you. I know lately, I haven’t been telling you all that lately. I am sorry I just-." He says looking deep into my eyes and I cut him off grabbing his by the collar bringing his lips to mine.

I devoured his lips as he stands there a bit stunned but takes the lead quickly grabbing my hips moaning into my mouth. Our tongues tangle and I stand on my tiptoes, my hands across his neck as I tilt my head to the side so we can ravish the other more.

I bite his lower thick lip as I pull gently. He looks at my eyes clouded with lust. "And you, my male is the sexiest and the most handsome in the world." He just looks at me as I lean closer and whisper in his ears. "As no wolf can make me wet with just their gaze as you do." I say as I once more look into his eyes.

"Fuck." Is all he says with his husky voice as he smashes his lips with mine once more. I giggle as he carries me and swings me around with his lips still upon mine. I feel dizzy with all the warmth and happiness my heart is feeling at this moment.

A wolf clears his throat as we both stop, Deimos putting me down gently. Ragon stands their hands behind his back a big smile on his face. "Alpha. Luna." He greets us with a bow.

"No." Deimos says still looking down at me with a smile.

"Yes." Ragon replies to Deimos.

"Not now. Give me ten minutes." Deimos says looking at my lips as I frown looking back and forth between the two males.

"No can do, Alpha. Come on let’s go." Ragon says with a hint of a smile on his lips. He is trying to control his laughter.

Silence envelopes us as Deimos stares at Ragon and Ragon stares at Deimos while I stare at both of them. What is going on? I am super confused. Deimos brings his eyes back to my lips. He bites his lower lip as if he desperately needs something at the moment.

"Please." Deimos says as my eyes widen and snap up to Deimos. Did he just beg Ragon?

"Say it, Alpha." Ragon says sternly as if reprimanding Deimos as if he were a pup.

With a huge sigh, Deimos replies, "Work before kissing Lumina." He says softly as I put my hands to my mouth laughing finally getting what’s going on.

Ragon walks up to us, pushing Deimos from behind to the exit with both of his hands. A small pout appears on Deimos’s lips as I laugh even more.

"Luna, please be ready by six tonight. I have arranged a small get together, I am guessing it probably slipped Alpha’s mind to tell you." Ragon says still pushing Deimos as they get closer to the exit, Deimos struggling every step to fight Ragon.

"We will continue this tonight, Deimos!" I shout it to him with encouragement and with a chuckle as they both stop. Deimos straightens up the pout disappearing from his face as a smirk takes over and he looks back at Ragon.

"You heard my female and guess what you cannot stop us." Deimos walks out with Ragon following with a chuckle.

Elriam enters inside shortly after and greets me with a bow. "I see you are here for me as well." I ask her as she nods with a smile.

And so, I spend the rest of the day busying myself with work surrounded by my females where I cannot think of anything else rather than answering their never-ending questions. The Luna’s of other packs tend to write their favors and petitions to me and I answer directly to them. The Alpha takes no part in these matters.

As light gives way to darkness and my females’ minds are finally satisfied, they let me go. Getting up I stretch my limbs following Elriam out the door. Looking at the clock below the stairs, Deimos must be still working as it is only five pm.

"Elriam are you aware of the get-together? Who’s coming?" I ask her.

"Yes, Alpha. It’s just us I am guessing. Ragon arranged it so we all can get some sort of a break." She says in reply.

"All right I am going to freshen up. Where are we meeting?" I ask her again.

"It’s in the woods, Alpha. Come back here when you are ready. I think Ragon and Alpha Deimos will bring you there. I know where it is as Ragon took me there before." She replies as I nod and walk upstairs as the excitement grows within me.

Letting the warm water soothe my skin I wash my hair slowly massaging my scalp. My mind has taken enough hits for today. It surely needs a break. I get out the shower at half-past five putting on blue jeans and a black shirt that stuck to me like a second skin.

I hurry down the stairs trying to put on my necklace. My eyes find Ragon and Deimos already there waiting for me. I walk up to Deimos as he stops his conversation softly kissing my forehead. "Hello, beautiful." He whispers as I smile up to him.

"Hello, handsome." I reply earning one of those rare full smiles from him. "Deimos can you help me put this necklace?" I ask him facing forward showing my back to him giving him the ends of the necklace so he can connect them.

"Let’s go shall we." Ragon calls out.

We follow Ragon deep inside until a small house comes into view. It was a triangular wooden house with glass panels as windows. There was a front porch as well with a small bench dining table and chairs.

"Wow." Is the word that manages to escape my lips as Deimos smiles in response.

"I am guessing you like it." He says as we head up the stairs into the house. I hear music softly playing in the background as laughter takes it over. The smell of freshly grilled meat makes me salivate, my wolf demanding her belly be filled.

Jace is grilling the meat as Elriam prepares the salad while sipping on a cup of red wine. Ragon heads to the music station to change up the song and Deimos throws fresh logs into the fire at the fireplace.

I look at the wolves around me and the house that I am in. My heart is high in joy and I am so happy that I am surrounded by whom I love. Never in my life, I thought I would be able to attain this happiness.

"Open your mouth." Deimos distracts me holding out a piece of meat in his hand. I open my mouth wide as he softly places it on my tongue the juice dripping down his fingers. As I munch on the small fatty piece of meat, I lick the remains off his fingers savoring the taste. It is perfectly cooked.

"Can I have more?" I ask him looking back at the kitchen counter.

"Wait, my female. Only at their call will we eat properly." He says and I nod.

Deimos and I sit on the couch in front of the fireplace. He slowly shifts his arm upwards indirectly telling me I can cuddle into him so I crawl onto his side placing my hand across his stomach and my head upon his beating heart.

I close my eyes enjoying the peaceful moment trying to pace my breaths with those of his. "I want to tell you something." His deep voice vibrates through his chest hitting directly into my ears.

"Hmm?" I hum in question. Feeling his fingers playing with the strands of my hair I snuggle deeper into his warmth.

"I have been thinking lately. Really thinking and I figured one of the reasons I do not wish to take you yet is because I want us... I need us to conquer our souls before we possess our bodies." He whispers as I shift my head so I can look up at him.

"Goddess, Deimos." I say gently placing the palm of my hand on his heart.

"What’s the use of this bond if I cannot feel your soul, Lumina?" He questions me as I smile softly.

"I understand, Deimos. I will wait for you." I reply.

"We are close, trust me. Soon, my female, I will finally have you." Deimos looks down at me with a soft smile.
