Everyone was now seated on the chairs in the parlour, with Godric and Marla preparing to start the day’s activities, but suddenly....

*KNOCK* *KNOCK*

"Good morning! Who is in?"

A voice was heard from outside.

Arin squinted his eyes. ’That voice..... That’s Riya’s voice.’

Marla stood up and walked towards the door. "Who is it?"

Without waiting for a response, she opened the door, revealing the person.

"Oh," Marla muttered. "Good morning, how may I help you?"

Her usual creepy smile was on her face as she stared at the black-haired lady who was standing in front of her.

The lady smiled back before replying, "My name is Riya Windham, Arin’s class teacher."

Marla’s eyes widened a bit before shining in astonishment. "Wow! Arin’s class teacher?"

She instantly turned back, looking at Arin.

"Arin! Your teacher is here!"

Arin, who had already realized that it was actually Riya, stood up and walked towards the door, alongside Godric and Lina.

"Oh, what brings you here?" Godric asked politely.

"The city I live in isn’t far from here, so I decided to check on some of my students who live around."

"Wow, that’s really thoughtful of you," Marla said, and Godric nodded in agreement.

They invited Riya inside the house, where they discussed a few things, like how Arin was doing academically.

Thankfully, she didn’t mention anything about him usually spacing out in class.

Marla and Godric were satisfied with what Riya said about Arin and thanked her for checking on him.

Immediately after that, the both of them left the house to do their various activities, leaving Edwin in Lina’s care.

Arin was now seeing Riya off.

Ever since she had been in the house, Arin had been glancing at her, wondering why she decided to come.

And he couldn’t even tell if what she said about checking up on her students was true.

"It’s true," Riya said as they both walked along the street.

"Huh?"

Riya looked at Arin with a grin. "I knew you would be wondering if I was really checking on my students. Well, I’m really checking on them."

"But I’m sure you know that’s not the only reason why I came here," she added.

"I see..." Arin muttered. "It’s about what happened in the Academy, right?"

Riya squinted her eyes. "Yes, though, I already know what happened, but of course, we still have to talk about it."

Arin nodded his head. "I didn’t expect it to lead to a holiday, though."

Riya chuckled lightly. "The first-year students were dying of excitement when they heard the announcement. They don’t know that the hero who caused the event that led to the holiday is also a student like them."

Arin smiled. "Not all heroes wear capes, haha."

They talked further about the battle as they continued walking.

"He got stronger, huh?" Riya muttered.

"Yes," Arin said. "He can now create a clone that can also use most of his spells."

"Though, Tessa and the others found out that if it gets an injury, mana would begin leaking out from its body, and it would start getting weaker. So, that’s like its weakness."

Riya nodded her head. "Hmm, I understand."

"But you also got stronger," she added, "so you were able to hold your ground against him and even cut off his arm and injured his chest."

Arin shook his head. "I’m still weak.... Weaker than him."

Arin continued. "Yes, I was able to injure him, but remember, he didn’t use that dark smoke stuff, which would have increased his physical capabilities."

"Moreover, he was able to regenerate the arm I cut off and also heal his other injuries," he added.

"That still doesn’t rule out the fact that you gave him a tough time," Riya said.

She closed her eyes and let out a sigh. "Everything will be okay....."

Arin also sighed as he nodded his head.

"That aside," Riya began, "Orion and all the teachers have discussed. And he said that a date has been fixed for the tournament."

Arin knew about the tournament from the novel. There were two tournaments that were usually held every year.

The first one was the tournament that was held by the kingdom itself. Each mage academy in Ainsley Kingdom and each warrior academy in Ainsley Kingdom would pick four students each that would represent them in the tournament.

This tournament was held by almost all the kingdoms personally.

The second tournament was held by different kingdoms together. A select number of kingdoms that would participate would be decided, then those kingdoms would bring three mages and three warriors that would represent them in the tournament.

But the second tournament was still far. Now, the time for the first tournament was already near.

"A day after the first-year students resume, the Academy will host their own competition to decide the four students who would represent them," Riya said.

Arin nodded his head in understanding.

"Though, the students will eventually have to fight for just three spots, because I’m very sure the first spot has already been reserved for Alex."

"No shit," Arin muttered with a slight chuckle. Experience new tales on Freewebnovel

"Greenfield Academy will definitely win this year," Arin said. "I mean, it’s quite obvious."

"True," Riya said. "The other powerful mages from other academies won’t even be much trouble to Alex."

"How is Roxanne, by the way?" she asked.

"She’s fine," Arin replied shortly.

A few minutes later, Riya had already left the city, and Arin returned back to the house.

He didn’t see Lina, which meant that she had taken Edwin for a walk.

He entered his room and jumped on the bed.

’Now is the perfect time to start the procedure for the Blood Armour skill.’

With that, he began bringing his blood energy out.

That wasn’t much of a hassle, and in a few seconds, he had already brought out a good amount of blood energy.

’Let me try it with this amount of blood energy.’

He made sure to control the blood energy so that it would stay around him and not float towards the window.

He began wrapping the blood energy around his body, and just like he expected, it stopped a few inches away from his skin and didn’t stick to it.

’This will be kinda stressful, but let’s do it....’
