Chapter 105: Author Notice!

Hey everyone, Phoenix here! A lot of you have been asking where I’ve been, and why I haven’t put out more Chapters lately, let me clear things up. Writing fanfiction is just a hobby for me at the end of the day. I got tired of seeing so many stories that follow the same familiar beats, whether they’re for Naruto, One Piece, Harry Potter, or Marvel. I started these fics to share my own ideas, and to hopefully inspire others to get creative with these universes too!

Another big difference is that I don’t plan anything out ahead of time, no outlines, no set plot points. Ideas just come to me as I make them, so I can’t keep up the same pace as authors who have their whole story mapped out.

I know many of you might ask: If you use AI anyway, why not just have it write everything? Or why keep starting new stories instead of finishing the ones you already have?

To be honest, I’ve never tried to hide that I use AI tools. I rely on them to help put Chapters together because I’m not fully fluent in English yet, there are so many words I don’t know, or feelings and ideas I struggle to phrase just right, and it also helps me clean up and refine the rough drafts I write myself.

But the reason I can’t just let AI make the whole story for me is simple: it doesn’t know the plot, the characters, or where the story is supposed to go. If I left everything up to it, it would just end up as a messy, inconsistent jumble, probably with way more plot holes than what you see from me now! That’s why I always write out a full draft for every Chapter first, and only ask for help making it flow better. I’m still learning and practicing to get better even now, and I’m even trying to write parts entirely on my own as I improve.

As for why I keep starting new stories? Ideas just keep popping into my head whenever I research something or read something new. If I don’t jot them down right away, I know I’ll forget them completely. It usually happens when I hit a block on my current fic and step away to find inspiration, it helps me get unstuck, not just run off to something else. And please know: I’m not abandoning any of my existing stories. I’m just gathering all the inspiration I can so I can come back and tell them even better.

On top of that, I have a lot of responsibilities right now. As the eldest sibling, there are big expectations resting on my shoulders. College classes start next month, so I picked up a factory job to get ready: it pays around 800+ pesos (about $14 USD) for an 8-hour shift, plus overtime. My schedule alternates weekly between morning and evening shifts, and I only get Sundays off. I’m saving up for a laptop, something I really need for school so I can only make new Chapters in whatever free time I have, or on Sundays. That’s why I can’t give a set date or time for updates. I honestly don’t know myself! I hope this answers all your questions.

Sincerely Phoenix!
