Chapter 207: It just looks bad
Hearing his words, Daisy’s face darkened and a realization dawned on her.
’’Ahh!!"
Ryle slid off Daisy’s body, curling on the bed after receiving a hard kick on his sensitive regions.
’’Open your eyes and look clearly if you are dreaming,’’ Daisy sat up on the bed and leaned back on the headboard, covering her body with the blanket as she looked at the man coldly.
As expected, his expressions went from pain to disbelief, ’’I...’’
Ryle sat up on the bed, looking like he was doubting his existence.
At this point, Daisy had no doubts that this delusional man had been thinking that he was dreaming.
As he noticed her face darkening further and further, he moved closer to her and pulled her into his arms.
Daisy did not struggle.
Ryle leaned back on the headboard and pulled her onto his lap, covering their bodies with the blanket.
’’You have nothing to say?" Daisy looked up.
Ryle cleared his throat, ’’I was muddle-headed for a moment.’’
’’Oh?" Daisy arched an eyebrow, ’’I thought such things don’t happen with Ryle Harper...’’
Seeing a faint redness spreading on his face, Daisy held back her smile, ’’Hmm?"
’’I... My dreams are rather.... rich and vivid in nature so...’’
’’So...?" Daisy smiled, watching him turn even redder.
Seeing the look on her face, Ryle held the back of her neck and bit her lips, ’’Stop teasing me now...’’
’’How can I tease you?"
’’It’s because you were too far away from me before so I could only be with you in my dreams. Now that you are so close...’’ he held her hand and intertwined their fingers, ’’...I am afraid that you will disappear if I open my eyes.’’
"I am not going anywhere, Ryle. I believe we still have a long way to go," Daisy smiled.
Ryle was stunned, "How beautiful," he sighed and held her up in a princess carry before getting off the bed.
"What are you sighing for? Is something bothering you?" She wrapped her arms around his neck.
Ryle looked at the woman in his arms. As the sun rays hit her face, there seemed to be a halo inside her. Her eyes were squinting as she looked at him and her lips still held a faint smile. Her long hair fell in front of her shoulder like a drapery covering her body.
"Too beautiful."
"What?"
"I am afraid I am going to be awestruck everytime I see you by my side."
Daisy’s lips parted and her gaze deepened.
She tilted her head and kissed his chin, "Then get used to me."
Ryle smiled wordlessly.
Get used to her? He could have done that if she was just as mundane as the rest of the world.
But she was phenomenal. She was a blessing in his life and he knew that he was going to let her know that. He would let her see what she meant to him. Forever.
For as long as she let him.
And in the darkest corner of his heart, he was aware that if she did not let him one day, he would still not change his mind.
"Ah.."
As Ryle put her down in front of the bathroom mirror, Daisy stumbled back into his arms, feeling a soreness spreading across her body.
"What happened? Are you fine?" Ryle turned her around.
"I..." Daisy blinked, "Get me a robe first."
Ryle wanted to continue asking her but when he saw her glare, he gulped and fetched her a robe before helping her put it on.
Even the way he tied the robe for her was seductive, his gaze seemed to trace her entire body.
Daisy punched his chest lightly, "I can’t stand. I can’t feel anything in my body," she emphasized, seeing ’that’ gaze in his eyes.
She had seen it way too many times last night to not recognize it now.
The ’gaze’ in Ryle’s eyes disappeared, only to be replaced by a hint of guilt.
"I... would be gentler next time," he said, sincerely looking into her eyes.
Daisy’s brows shot up.
’Gentler?’
Was he saying that he was gentle this time?
Daisy scoffed and turned around but when her gaze landed on her reflection in the mirror, her calm face faltered.
"You... Ryle!"
"W-What happened? Are you in pain? Shall I call the doctor?"
She pointed her finger at her reflection, "What have you done? How will I go out like this?"
Ryle followed the direction of her gaze and glanced at his precious ’artwork’ that he had left on her body.
There were patches of hickeys spreading from Daisy’s chest, up to her collarbone, her neck and even going as far as to her chin. Even her earlobe was red. There were several red patches on her body.
The more he saw, the further he felt remorse.
"I... I’m sorry. I didn’t realize."
Daisy was still in stupor, gazing at her body that looked so badly red and purple when she heard his words.
As she looked at their reflections, she could see the remorse on his face. He had his head lowered and somehow she could visualize two drooping puppy ears on his head.
He looked like he was wronged.
"It’s fine. It just looks bad," Daisy turned around to look at him.
Ryle turned his face to the side.
Daisy cupped his face, "Really. It doesn’t hurt at all. I was just worried about how to go out like this."
He opened his eyes slightly, "I will get you medicine then?"
"Not medicines, just some good cream will do."
"Alright," Ryle stroked her hair.
Daisy sighed in relief. But after a moment, she felt like something was amiss, how did she go from being angry at him to coaxing him?
Before she could pursue the matter, he spoke up first, "Then, will you apply the cream for me too?"
"Hmm?" Her gaze landed on his chest where there was a trail of hickeys leading to his neck.
